“Natalia is wonderful. She took such great care of my elder cat when I was away. Great communication, timely photos, and she left the house cleaner than I left it. I’m grateful for Natalia and will definitely ask her to care for Precious in the future. 🤗”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home since I was 7 years old, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to my 2 year old Goldendoodle, who is truly my soul dog and the best thing that has ever happened to me. Because of him, I understand how much love and trust pets need to feel safe and happy. Over the years, I have pet sat for many of my coworkers, family members, and friends, giving me experience with pets of all ages and personalities. Because I work three 12-hour shifts a week. I have several full days off during the week that I dedicate to pet care. On my days off, I’m usually home with my own Goldendoodle, which makes it easy for me to give other pets plenty of attention, walks, and playtime. I enjoy being active, so daily walks and exercise fit naturally into my routine, and I love having the flexibility to pet sit for families during weekdays, evenings, or weekends I’m not scheduled at the hospital. I respect your pet’s routine and space, keeping them comfortable and stress free. I love providing a safe space providing attentive care, follow instructions closely, and keep you updated.
About: Hello! I have always been a big animal lover and have grown up having pets my whole life. I’m amazing at taking care of animals! It is my dream to become a veterinarian someday so I can help animals and continue working with them. I hope you give me a chance to take good care of your fur babies because I will always do my best! I’m currently working part time, I have open availability and a flexible schedule! Whenever you need me to take care of your fur babies you can count on me! When caring for your pets I will take full responsibility and treat them with love and care as if they are my own. I will always be 100% sure that they are safe!

About: I have spent a lot of time pet sitting family dogs, including powerful breeds like Pitbulls, Belgian Malinois, and German Shepherds. This hands-on experience taught me exactly how important structure and leash training are for a safe environment. Being a shorter person, I prefer to specialize in walking small dogs, medium dogs, or larger dogs who are already trained on the leash and calm when seeing others. Although I do have experience walking dogs who pull or get too excited, I want to ensure safety for your pet, myself, and others around me. However, if your larger pup is still working on their leash manners, I am more than happy to care for them entirely at home, focusing on indoor playtime, backyard fun, and tons of love! I am also a cat mom of 4 and love all types of cats. I currently have a flexible schedule. Whether your pup or kitten needs a last-minute check-in, a mid-day walk or your pet requires strict, timely medication schedules, I am around to help. When I am in your home, safety and respect for your space are my priorities. I treat your home with care, ensuring doors are securely locked, gates are latched, and your home is left exactly as I found it. I can follow strict instructions to ensure that your pet’s needs are met. I also love sending quick photo updates with every visit, so you have total peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: 🐾 TYLER'S PET BOARDING - ABOUT MY CARE 🐶🐱🐴 I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, with hands on experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses. Opening my home to care for them has become one of the most rewarding parts of my week. I believe pet care should be built on trust, comfort, consistency and clear communication. I intentionally accept a limited number of bookings so each pet receives personalized attention, consistent care, and a calm experience. Meet & Greets are required for first time stays to make sure we’re a great fit. Your pet will be treated like family, with regular updates, photos, feeding routines, and plenty of attention while you’re away. 🏡 HOME SETUP Your dog will enjoy a calm, structured home environment with supervised care, regular potty breaks, photo updates, and plenty of one-on-one attention. I have three friendly pugs at home and experience caring for small, medium and select large dogs. 🛡️ SAFETY & STRUCTURE I introduce dogs slowly, monitor their behavior closely, and separate dogs when needed. Feeding is done separately to help prevent food guarding, upset stomachs, or accidental sharing. 🐶⭐️ BEST FIT For boarding in my home, I'm best suited for small to medium dogs and select larger dogs only when the fit is right. For larger dogs I am also happy to provide house sitting, drop-ins, or care in the owner's home. 💤🌙 SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS My home is kept comfortable year round so every pet can relax and sleep comfortably. Dogs can sleep in their crate, on their own bed, or in a designated sleeping area based on their routine and habits. 📸 Communication & Updates I send regular photo updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, comfortable, and having a great time. Ask me about professional photo magnets of your dog, a nice keepsake from their stay. 🐶🤝Meet & Greets Held at my home in Lathrop by appointment, preferably mornings or late evenings. 🌅🚗🌙Drop-Off & Pickup My preferred drop-off and pickup windows are 8:30AM-10:00 AM or 8:00PM -10:00 PM. I’m happy to coordinate within those windows whenever possible so each pet has a smooth, calm transition. Flexible, open schedule, your pet gets my full attention and care, morning to night. I work from home so fully committed to making your pets stay as amazing as possible! Your dogs and animals will be safe, loved, and treated like family in a clean, pet friendly home. I follow your pet’s routine closely and provide constant supervision and affection.

“I had an excellent experience with Donna watching my cat and dog at my house for 5 nights. She was responsive to my messages and put in the extra effort to reassure me my pets were in good hands. I received regular pictures and updates, and I returned to my house just as clean as I left it. She is friendly, polite and I can tell she was genuinely happy to be around my pets. I'd recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their animals.”

“Daniella did a pretty good job during her 3 day stay. She took care of Mochi, Buddy and Zoey and treated our dogs like her own. She also followed all instructions on feeding time, taking our dogs in the backyard and taking the time to spend time with them. I was also impressed when she also cleaned our kitchen counter tops, wiping down the cabinet doors and she even swept/ mop the floor and threw the garbage. That's what you call going up and beyond her job duties! We ask her to just take care or our dogs and she did more than that. I would highly recommend her to our family and friends! We also going to book her this coming December because we know we can count on her.”

“Gaby took care of our dog Hazel at our home. Hazel is a 11 month old Mimi Goldendoodle. She sent us pictures/videos during her stay. I would highly recommend her. We will be using her in the future. Becky S”

About: I’ve been caring for pets most of my life. I grew up with a Boxer-Lab-Mastiff mix who I helped feed, walk, and train—so I’m very comfortable with large breeds. I also helped care for my boyfriend’s German Shepherd before she passed, including managing frequent accidents and supporting her during her senior years. That experience taught me a lot about patience, gentleness, and being there for pets when they need comfort the most. Now, I have two French Bulldogs of my own and love their big personalities! I enjoy getting to know each pet and making sure they feel safe, understood, and happy while their people are away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or sticking to a specific routine, I’m here to provide loving, dependable care. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine—this summer, I’m available all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and after 3 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. I plan my schedule so I have plenty of time to give each pet the attention they need, whether it’s for walks, check-ins, or overnight stays. I also make sure to leave time for my own pets, so I’m always fully present when I’m caring for yours. I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine and keep things as stress-free as possible while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect I would want for my own. I always follow your instructions closely, from feeding schedules to walk routines, and I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and never left unattended in risky situations. I double-check doors and gates, keep things clean and tidy, and do my best to make sure your pet feels relaxed and cared for while you’re away. I also love sending updates and photos so you can feel at ease while I’m with your furry family member.

“Ariel gave amazing care to our elderly dog who needs medications and can get quite lonely. She went above and beyond to give her cuddles and love so that she didn’t feel alone while we were gone. We will definitely be using Ariel again 💗”

About: I adore animals. I've had dogs and cats around my whole life, I'm the first person my family goes to for help when they go on trips. Willing to work with any creatures 😁 I work full time Monday through Friday, we can always chat about my schedule if you need! I'm normally home on weekends so I'm looking to fill the rest of my schedule. I live with my parents still so I can't bring pets into my home, but we have a husky malamute who we've trained to not eat our cats or rats!
About: I have grown up with dogs, cats and even reptiles my whole life. I have volunteered with Delta Humane Society, Manteca Kitten Rescue and also serviced a cat adoption room inside Petco for months. I am dedicated to making sure your furry friend gets the best care! I currently work anywhere from 10am to 7pm Sunday through Thursday. Morning and late evening check ins should work best for me, but I can be flexible when needed. I prefer to come to your home and take care of your pet in the environment it knows best and feels the most comfortable in.
“Courtni was amazing with the dogs. They are a lot and she handled them both with ease! They were happy tired pups when we got home. We loved the pics and updates throughout the day! They cant wait to see her again”

About: Since I was a little girl, I have always had a ♥ for animals. I've cared for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and a mini pig. A plus for me is that I have been a foster for Animal Rescue of Tracy for 10+ years now, so I have experience with all sorts of dogs and cats, from those who need special medication to rambunctious dogs to newborn kittens. There is no animal you can give me that I will not love, pet, cuddle, and care for. 🌷 I am a responsible 25 year old who has been caring for animals my whole life. This is my first Rover account, but I have been pet sitting in the Tracy community for 10 years. I live on 1.5 acres with 25 + animals, so I am very experienced and would love to help out with your furry friends! :) I'm currently working part-time with the majority of my work being remote so I will have plenty of time to care for your pets! 🏡 I live on 1.5 acres of property so your dogs will have plenty of space to run around, play, and relieve themselves. Depending on your dog's friendliness, they can remain inside with my two small dogs, or I can keep them in our supervised dog run area just for them. If you have cats, they will be contained in their own area in my house so that they do not run and hide, as new environments tend to cause anxiety. 🏠 If house sitting, I make the animals feel as comfortable as possible to ease any stress of their owners being away. Pets & play are always guaranteed. I also send pictures everyday & when asked! ⭐ My routine is simple: follow your directions on feeding, walking, medication if needed, and I will handle the other most important part: giving them lots of love!
The median cost per night for house sitting in Lathrop is $62
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lathrop
Rachel was so sweet watching our three dogs! When she came in the dogs were barking at her and being very rowdy. She was very calm and loving as she introduced herself to them. She sent updates throughout the day and all the kids were smiling ear to ear. Medications, feeding, potty, ect was perfect as well. Rachel even noticed that one of the kids potentially had an ear infection/allergies. Which I confirmed when I got home! She’s wonderful and we will def invite her back to watch the kids again!

Natalia is a great sitter for our pack of four. I'm glad we got the chance to book her, and she was wonderfully communicative, sending us multiple updates with photos. I'd highly recommend her to anyone, and we look forward to booking her again in the future.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lathrop walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lathrop maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lathrop choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Lathrop. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
