About: I have grown up around dogs and cats my entire life and have experience with a wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. My experience includes large breeds such as Mastiffs and Pit Bulls, French Bulldogs, Dachshunds, domestic cats, Sphynx cats, and feral cats. I have also worked in a doggy daycare under the supervision of a veterinarian, which gave me additional experience in a professional animal-care setting. I understand the importance of patience, safety, following care instructions, and recognizing that every animal has different needs and behaviors. I follow each pet’s routine, feeding, providing fresh water, walks, playtime, and any special care instructions. I give them plenty of attention, patience, and affection while making sure they get the exercise and care they need.

About: I have taken care of dogs for a long time. Since I was a young child. I am a dog lover, as my family has 3 dogs of our own, they are beagles. I enjoy spending time with dogs - petting them, walking them, and playing with them. I was formerly in law enforcement so you can count on me for safety. We have a fenced back yard. Our dogs love having friends over and our kids love dogs as well. There is almost always someone home to care for our dogs. I love to spend time with my family and with our dog. We also enjoy meeting other dogs, and making connections with the pet parents, also. For the safety of my children and pets, all first-time clients must complete a Meet & Greet at least 48 hours before a stay can be confirmed. I do not accept last-minute bookings without a prior visit. I have a large back yard that's fully fenced in. The fenced in back yard is around half an acre. We also have 3 dogs of our own, that we love and care for. I am a former law enforcement officer.

Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise, so I regularly incorporate enrichment activities such as puzzle toys, lick mats, and interactive games to keep pets entertained and mentally challenged. For dogs who are working on skills or manners, I'm happy to reinforce basic training using positive reinforcement techniques and consistency. “Maryellen was great! She came for a meet and greet. I liked her and she seemed comfortable with our two large barking dogs. The day we were headed out of town she texted me to double check our leave time. She sent photos each day. She took them for walks and stayed in our house for two nights. Taking both dogs out is a slight arm workout. Dogs were fed and happy when we returned. I would use Maryellen again for overnights or just walks and I would recommend her to friends.”
