Im the niece of a large animal veterinarian whose clinic I volunteered at after school and summers. Currently my husband and I are owned by a Labrador Retriever and an English Setter. We are active with a national English Setter rescue, which is where our beautiful boy came from, and run volunteer transports of dogs on their way to foster or forever homes. *** Due to personal reasons, for House Sitting bookings I sleep at my own home. I will arrange my arrival and departure times at your home, to whatever your preferences are. I usually arrive around 6am and leave between 9 and 10pm, but thats variable based on your pet's routine.*** Im semi-retired! My routine is whatever it needs to be from day to day. Im a firm believer in being flexible to meet the situation's needs. Each pet is different. Some are couch potatoes, some want to hike the Alps, but all need mental stimulation and tons of hugs. Playtime, walks, treats and any other interactions you, as the expert on your pet, request of me, are part of the services I offer.

I work full time from home so if your pet is boarding with me they’ll never be alone, and if I am coming to your home I have some flexibility in my schedule. I love caring for animals! I have lots of nature around my place to take your pet on walks. I have worked as a vet assistant and cared for many dogs, cats, and rabbits in the past.
About: I have taken care of dogs for my friends for many years, as well as having dogs for most of my life. I have experience with dogs of all ages. I have experience in medication dispensing. Senior care experience. I work from my home so I am available to give meals and potty breaks continuously throughout the day. I have a very flexible schedule. For drop in visiting and walks, I am available Monday to Thursday 1pm to 7pm. Friday after 5pm. Saturday and Sunday 24 hour availability. My back yard is fenced in.I will not sit pitbulls or other aggressive breeds. On days where the temp is hot, I will take dogs out once an hour for just 10 minutes to avoid heat related illness. Also on hot days, water bowls will be in each room that a dog chooses to be in. During the winter I have pee pads outside for the comfort and safety of a dog's feet.
About: My mom had rescue dogs and cats my entire childhood, and I always helped care for them as her oldest daughter. My mom adopted dogs big and small - as big as a golden retriever, and as little as a chihuahua, and often cared for multiple cats at a time. My parents are planning to retire here, which will be a big move, especially with so many animals, so when the time comes, I’ll be helping move their pets. After living in Eau Claire for a month or so, I house and pet sat for my cousin while she was working on a project out of town for a few months. I bonded with her German Shepherd, Lobo, through long walks and runs, and fell in love with her tiny cat Duchess. Later that winter, while I was still doing the long-term pet sit for my cousin, one of her friend’s rescued a cat who had been abandoned. Due to her living situation, she couldn’t take it in immediately, so Lobo and Duchess had Zia as a guest living with us for a month or so.
