“Laura and Rob took great care of our dog. They are both great with animals, we left Judo for daycare and he felt comfortable with them from the beginning and was very relaxed when we picked him up. Also, they were very attentive and kind, fast on answering messages and sent pictures and updates during Judo’s stay. We will definitely go back to them.”

“My experience with Thea was absolutely fantastic! She resides on a sprawling multi acre property, which provided the perfect playground for my high-energy dog. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that she has a deep understanding and passion for dogs. Her comforting demeanor instantly put my dog at ease, making him feel right at home! I highly recommend Thea to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable dog sitter. Her spacious property, combined with her expertise and loving approach, made for an exceptional experience for my dog. We will definitely be returning for future stays!”

“Brian has been great. He makes it easy to drop off & pick up. He keeps us updated during each of Brinley’s stays, by sending pictures, videos, and texts on how our fur puppy dog is doing.”

“We needed a dog sitter asap while we got our kitchen demolished for renovation. Our 9 month old Shepherd mix had a great time. He played with her dog, he was walked and he took naps throughout the day. I was updated with pictures and videos. It assured our family to know he was in good hands. Thank you so much Elena ❤️ Look forward to bringing our puppy back again when we need your services.”

“Kyle and Teresa were great with our new puppy! They were flexible with the times I dropped her off and picked her up from “puppy daycare”. They followed my instructions and made sure my baby was well taken care of throughout the day! We will definitely use Kyle again.”

“Tina was very gracious and took in Obiwan. He had a wonderful time and Tina kept us up to date on Obi's progress throughout the day with pictures and narrative. She is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of space in the backyard. I would recommend Tina to anyone that wants someone that really cares about your pet.”

“Susana Is amazing, my puppy has already stayed with her twice. Every time he comes home sleepy from playing all day! Susana has also been amazing at sending me updates of my puppy, following directions and accommodating me and my puppy at a moments notice.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for 33 years. Including but not limited to walking, feeding, hygiene care and administrating multiple medicines. Familiar with seizures as well. I have pets of my own so tending to animals is a routine to me and my children for a daily routine. We have cats and a small dog. Our cats and dog are mainly inside animals. With my dog going outside to the gated backyard whenever she wants. We also have a gated pool so the animals will remain safe.
“I’ve left my dog with Robyn a handful times and every time has been a great experience. She gives frequent updates throughout the day with pictures and videos of my baby. My pup has became fast friends with her and her dog Remy. I can tell how much Robyn cares about animals and I am very comfortable leaving Lady with her throughout my long workdays days. I’m happy to have found a reliable sitter in the neighborhood, thanks Robyn!”

“Ilona was exceptional. Very communicative, flexible and easy to work with. We came up to visit six flags for the day and she was able to coordinate with me for a flexible needed schedule. 100% recommend and would use her again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs. The past 10+ years I have cared for other peoples dogs. I understand how uneasy people feel about leaving their pooch in a Kennel, simply because their dog is their world and they would rather have their dog have home comforts whilst you are apart. Married but we have no children so am able to offer a calm environment for those dogs that are mature or nervous of bangs and loud noises. Likewise I have the time and energy for those dogs that need a little more play time. I have a neutered schnoodle that is mature enough to chill but also enjoys a play. I work part time from home. So I am able to offer your pooch a lot of time and love, be it walks or just company. I have an enclosed, secure garden, mainly walled with gated access which is locked. It is completely private. It is not a large garden, but it certainly offers a dog enough space to stretch their legs, chase a ball or just chill on the patio.
“My baby Makana had a great time at JJ’s house.. Though we didn’t see the host’s interior of the house where the pets are, the pictures she had sent looked clean and safe.. It’s Makana’s first time to socialize with 2 dogs since she turned 2 yrs old due to some health issues when she’s a pup. We thought it’s time for her to explore and find out if she is well adjusted now that she’s an adult. She is as expected to be a little shy but was able to adapt and became comfortable. She is tired and pretty happy bec she had a play date with Zuri ( the host’s furbaby) and another furbaby. I’m glad that JJ has been sending pic and videos of our baby’s socialization activities and so nice of their son to play with the FBabies.. Thank you and will definitely recommend her services.”

About: I’ve been a dog owner for 4 years now, and having my little daxie, Dolly has given me SO much joy! My family have always adored animals and there was never a time where we didn’t have pets throughout my childhood, whether they were cats, rats, guinea pigs or fish! I learnt to care for them from a very young age and have loved all animals, large or small, ever since. I will take any chance I can to care for my friends and family’s pets, because it brings me so much joy and I’m hoping to welcome lots of lovely dogs into our lives! Whether it’s a young, hyper puppy or a senior dog that needs more rest or reassurance, you can be assured that all of your pets will be cared for with love, kindness and patience ❤️ I’ve recently moved from the UK to the US with my husband for his work so I now have full time availability throughout the week to care for my own dog Dolly, and hopefully many others. This means that I can provide my full attention all day, allowing plenty of time for toilet breaks, outdoor time, play and walks! I will always arrange a meet and greet before agreeing to board any new dogs in our home to ensure they are comfortable and compatible with Dolly and any other dogs boarding at that time - all of the dogs safety and happiness is my main priority. We have a fully fenced garden with a mix of natural grass, concrete, dirt and pebbles so plenty of terrain for the dogs to explore. We also have lots of space for play time indoors and allow for plenty of cuddles on the sofa when the dogs need a chill!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
