“The only difficult part of writing this review is finding enough good things to say about Elena. Every interaction, from my first communication to picking up Puck after his stay, conveyed both a love of animals and professionalism. We met first in a local park for a meet and greet, where Elena and I chatted and her daughter played with Puck. I felt really comfortable with Elena’s easy manner and the questions she asked to ensure that Puck would be happy with them. I left in confidence when I dropped Puck off, and the photos she sent made it clear that Puck was happy and well cared for. Her daughter makes for a wonderful added bonus; Elena told me when I picked him up that her daughter made a fort for them, and it was clear in the pics that Puck received lots of play time with his favorite toys. When I picked up Puck after his stay, he was of course happy to see me, but not overcome with nervousness or anxiety. I could see that he felt safe and loved in Elena’s home. When I arrived home, he slipped right back into normal routines without needing decompression time. Thank you, Elena, for providing Puck with a warm and loving home-away-from-home.”

About: I have worked with animals almost my entire lifetime, starting at age 10 with horses. I'm the kind of person who took in, and rescued any animal who needed it (mice/ rats/ fox cubs/ parrots/ ducks - you name it!). Growing up in an isolated farming community in rural England was conducive to this. By my early teens I moved on to raise money for animal rescue charity’s such as the WWF and RSPCA. I am certified in Pet first aid, and whilst not busy with running my dog walking business, I'm pursuing dog training certification, and aspire to study Animal Behavior MSC. I have been in the dog care business in California since 2009, I recently made Lake Hughes my home and am opening my schedule to the local community for dog boarding. Your dogs will join my pack! Between myself and several of my trusted live-in ranch workers (also experienced in pet care) we provide 24hour supervision in a in-home setting! Your dog will stay inside of my home, we can section off separate areas depending on how well your dog is adjusting to our pack. If your dog prefers to keep to himself he might score his own private bedroom! If he/she prefers a crate, that is ok too! We are experienced in knowing how to adjust for each personality type. We have a fenced in yard outside, and if you are comfortable with it, your dog is welcome to roam our 20-acre property (with supervision of course) during bathroom and exercise breaks. They may even get lucky and meet one of friendly ranch livestock (with supervision of course) that are all accustomed to dogs!

About: I have 2 large dogs and one cat. I have raised a few foster pups over the years and helped my wife nurse a few foster kittens back to health. I am home full time and can care for animals. I take my pets out to the fenced yard and let them do their business and play a bit before I bring them in. Pets in my home would be fenced in with all entrances locked with proper gates. At the clients home, I would follow their rules about dog or cat safety.

About: I have been an animal/dog lover ever since I was a little girl. My first dog was our families at the age of 12. We all had to chip in on responsibilities and I learned from a very early age what it really means to take care of a dog/puppy. Especially with a demanding breed such as a German Shepard for your first pup! Ever since first taking care of our German Shepard, Rambo, taking care of animals always came easy to me, even the tougher/sassier breeds. Since Rambo, I have my own mini husky and I am my friends and family go to for watching their pets. I am always watching someone's cat or pup and always providing all of the walking, cleaning, playtime, and feeding needs! I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 17 years old and like to think I provide excellent service, excellent care, and really take the time to learn and listen to what people need. I am currently working at home majority of my time now. Anytime I really leave the house is for necessities or to go out to eat! About: Being a pet owner my whole life has allowed me to understand dogs very well! I’ve dealt with bigger breeds like German Shepards and Pitt bulls, smaller breeds have always gotten along well with my demeanor. “My baby Makana had a great time at JJ’s house.. Though we didn’t see the host’s interior of the house where the pets are, the pictures she had sent looked clean and safe.. It’s Makana’s first time to socialize with 2 dogs since she turned 2 yrs old due to some health issues when she’s a pup. We thought it’s time for her to explore and find out if she is well adjusted now that she’s an adult.She is as expected to be a little shy but was able to adapt and became comfortable. She is tired and pretty happy bec she had a play date with Zuri ( the host’s furbaby) and another furbaby. I have experience with young big puppies and wait for you in the darkness to trip you cats. The “ excuse me may I have one more treat” horse to the parkour off you and everything goat. The sneaky kitties get caught redded pawed and the blubbering hounds sing with joy. I just moved back to Santa Clarita after living in Texas for 9 years. But as long as it's not too hot or raining we hit the park and dog park.
About: My grandmother has had dogs before I was even born, so growing up around them definitely gives me an advantage on how to treat, and care how the sweet things. Im currently working part time at a restaurant, while doing college online so I have more of an open availability during the week and longer hours. While helping my Grandma at her farm, helping her care for all sorts of pets has helped me with my experience and help care of pets safely and know what to do and not to do. I always make sure their body language seems safe, I never want to make an animal scared or uncomfortable, and treats are a must!
