“The only difficult part of writing this review is finding enough good things to say about Elena. Every interaction, from my first communication to picking up Puck after his stay, conveyed both a love of animals and professionalism. We met first in a local park for a meet and greet, where Elena and I chatted and her daughter played with Puck. I felt really comfortable with Elena’s easy manner and the questions she asked to ensure that Puck would be happy with them. I left in confidence when I dropped Puck off, and the photos she sent made it clear that Puck was happy and well cared for. Her daughter makes for a wonderful added bonus; Elena told me when I picked him up that her daughter made a fort for them, and it was clear in the pics that Puck received lots of play time with his favorite toys. When I picked up Puck after his stay, he was of course happy to see me, but not overcome with nervousness or anxiety. I could see that he felt safe and loved in Elena’s home. When I arrived home, he slipped right back into normal routines without needing decompression time. Thank you, Elena, for providing Puck with a warm and loving home-away-from-home.”

“Andrew was great & I’ll definitely book again! I have 3 cats & not only did he easily handle 3 cats, but I have a senior cat that needed meds, a crazy hyperactive kitten, and a Savannah cat. Andrew was very responsive and communicated great & was flexible on timings for drop ins. Andrew also handled the unexpected events great - my Savannah cat had a minor injury & the kitten destroyed some things. So all around Andrew was great & i definitely recommend him!”

About: I have worked with animals almost my entire lifetime, starting at age 10 with horses. I'm the kind of person who took in, and rescued any animal who needed it (mice/ rats/ fox cubs/ parrots/ ducks - you name it!). Growing up in an isolated farming community in rural England was conducive to this. By my early teens I moved on to raise money for animal rescue charity’s such as the WWF and RSPCA. I am certified in Pet first aid, and whilst not busy with running my dog walking business, I'm pursuing dog training certification, and aspire to study Animal Behavior MSC. I have been in the dog care business in California since 2009, I recently made Lake Hughes my home and am opening my schedule to the local community for dog boarding. Your dogs will join my pack! Between myself and several of my trusted live-in ranch workers (also experienced in pet care) we provide 24hour supervision in a in-home setting! Your dog will stay inside of my home, we can section off separate areas depending on how well your dog is adjusting to our pack. If your dog prefers to keep to himself he might score his own private bedroom! If he/she prefers a crate, that is ok too! We are experienced in knowing how to adjust for each personality type. We have a fenced in yard outside, and if you are comfortable with it, your dog is welcome to roam our 20-acre property (with supervision of course) during bathroom and exercise breaks. They may even get lucky and meet one of friendly ranch livestock (with supervision of course) that are all accustomed to dogs!

I’ve dealt with bigger breeds like German Shepards and Pitt bulls, smaller breeds have always gotten along well with my demeanor. About: I have been an animal/dog lover ever since I was a little girl. My first dog was our families at the age of 12. We all had to chip in on responsibilities and I learned from a very early age what it really means to take care of a dog/puppy. Especially with a demanding breed such as a German Shepard for your first pup! Ever since first taking care of our German Shepard, Rambo, taking care of animals always came easy to me, even the tougher/sassier breeds. Since Rambo, I have my own mini husky and I am my friends and family go to for watching their pets. I am always watching someone's cat or pup and always providing all of the walking, cleaning, playtime, and feeding needs! I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 17 years old and like to think I provide excellent service, excellent care, and really take the time to learn and listen to what people need. About: I have grown up with dogs. The past 10+ years I have cared for other peoples dogs. I understand how uneasy people feel about leaving their pooch in a Kennel, simply because their dog is their world and they would rather have their dog have home comforts whilst you are apart. Married but we have no children so am able to offer a calm environment for those dogs that are mature or nervous of bangs and loud noises. Likewise I have the time and energy for those dogs that need a little more play time. I have a neutered schnoodle that is mature enough to chill but also enjoys a play. I work part time from home. So I am able to offer your pooch a lot of time and love, be it walks or just company. I have an enclosed, secure garden, mainly walled with gated access which is locked. It is completely private. It is not a large garden, but it certainly offers a dog enough space to stretch their legs, chase a ball or just chill on the patio.

About: Dogs have been part of my life as long as I can remember! Love meeting all of them and can't wait to meet your little bud! I make my own schedule, so for the most part I'm available when needed (with proper planning for longer visits of course.) Feel free to reach out when you need a hand! I have a dog of my own whom I rescued 4 years ago, ever since then i find myself caring and trying to help others with their pets because i have realized how important it is for our dogs to have the care that they need. About: I have been an animal/dog lover ever since I was a little girl. My first dog was our families at the age of 12. We all had to chip in on responsibilities and I learned from a very early age what it really means to take care of a dog/puppy. Especially with a demanding breed such as a German Shepard for your first pup! Ever since first taking care of our German Shepard, Rambo, taking care of animals always came easy to me, even the tougher/sassier breeds. Since Rambo, I have my own mini husky and I am my friends and family go to for watching their pets. I am always watching someone's cat or pup and always providing all of the walking, cleaning, playtime, and feeding needs! I have been in the hospitality industry since I was 17 years old and like to think I provide excellent service, excellent care, and really take the time to learn and listen to what people need. I am currently working at home majority of my time now. Anytime I really leave the house is for necessities or to go out to eat! Ever since my little sister started doing pet care on the side herself, I couldn't think of a better way to help keep me company and to help a little financially on the side as well. With my current employment, I am able to give your fur child 24/7 care! I live in a lovely, large apartment with plenty of space to run around and play. The apartment is very safe and your pet is allowed on the furniture or wherever else their heart desires. I will always be present with your fur baby and making sure they are safe and cared for.

“The only difficult part of writing this review is finding enough good things to say about Elena. Every interaction, from my first communication to picking up Puck after his stay, conveyed both a love of animals and professionalism. We met first in a local park for a meet and greet, where Elena and I chatted and her daughter played with Puck. I felt really comfortable with Elena’s easy manner and the questions she asked to ensure that Puck would be happy with them. I left in confidence when I dropped Puck off, and the photos she sent made it clear that Puck was happy and well cared for. Her daughter makes for a wonderful added bonus; Elena told me when I picked him up that her daughter made a fort for them, and it was clear in the pics that Puck received lots of play time with his favorite toys. When I picked up Puck after his stay, he was of course happy to see me, but not overcome with nervousness or anxiety. I could see that he felt safe and loved in Elena’s home. When I arrived home, he slipped right back into normal routines without needing decompression time. Thank you, Elena, for providing Puck with a warm and loving home-away-from-home.”

He was a bit nervous as it was his first time boarding but they kept on sending me pictures and updates every few hours. I appreciated that they let me know about his anxiety his first night, with restless sleep and offered to correct what was causing his anxiety which worked the 2nd night.
