Most recently, I was the proud "pet parent" to a beautiful Weimaraner for 15 wonderful years. While I’m not quite ready to bring a new dog into my home permanently, I have a surplus of love and care to give, and I miss the daily joy that canine companionship brings. I also volunteer at Lucky Puppy Rescue, where I help care for dogs and ensure they are safe, comfortable, and well looked after. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have consistently trusted me with their pets, and I take that responsibility seriously, treating every dog as if they were my own with patience, attention, and care. Pet care fits into my routine by being something I plan around my schedule every day, even when I’m busy with school and practice. In the morning, before I leave for my first class at 8:00 a.m., I make sure my pet is fed and has fresh water. This is an important part of starting the day because it sets a routine and ensures my pet is taken care of even when I’m not home. Since my school schedule is split throughout the day (8:00–9:00, 10:00–12:00, and 2:00–3:00), I don’t always have long periods at home, but I still try to check in whenever I can. After my last class ends at 3:00, I go home briefly before practice. During that half hour, I might let my pet outside, clean up after them, or spend a few minutes giving them attention. After practice, when I get home around 5:00, I have more time to focus on pet care. This is when I usually feed my pet again, take them for a walk if needed, and spend quality time playing or relaxing with them. In the evening, I also make sure everything is set for the night, like refilling water and making sure they are comfortable. Overall, pet care is a consistent responsibility that I fit into both the small breaks in my day and my longer free time at night. Even with a busy schedule, I make sure my pet’s needs are always a priority. I care for pets in my home by creating a safe, active, and comfortable environment where they feel right at home. I have a fenced-in yard, so dogs get plenty of time outside to run and play. I also have a pup of my own who loves being around other dogs, which helps keep visiting pups entertained and social. Throughout the day, they’ll have a mix of playtime with other dogs and one-on-one attention, along with lots of cuddles so they feel cared for and not alone. Inside, I make sure every dog has a space where they feel secure. I have a crate available if needed, but there’s also plenty of room if you’d prefer to bring your own crate. About: I have been an animal lover since I was a young child (when I found out where meat came from at age 4, I became a vegetarian… if that tells you anything!) I was an adoring dog owner until 2023 when my beloved Oak (picture above) went over the rainbow bridge. I haven’t gotten another pup yet, but I love spending time with others’ companions in the meantime while I wait to meet my next soul dog! I am very attentive and encourage owners to give me detailed instructions on feeding, medications, behavioral tendencies, and any little important idiosyncrasies; I know what it’s like to leave your baby with someone else, and building trust alongside solid communication is incredibly important. I’m excited to start this new side quest and meet some new friends (furry ones and human ones alike)! I work from home! So I have flexibility and am good with short notice. Having a pup around brightens my day. It feels like they help me as much as I help them! I live in a pet-friendly building in a walkable part of downtown Glens Falls where we can frolic (leashed of course) to our hearts’ content! I’m right around the corner from the dog park if your pup likes to play with others, if not, we can stroll to Crandall or around town. About: I grew up surrounding myself with animals, since I was seven I spent all of my time at our horse farm and I learned to take care of animals big and small. This grew into my life passion which is animals. I studied animal science at UMASS Amherst and UNLV and also have worked at various animal clinics with different roles as a kennel technician and a veterinarian assistant learning so many skills along the way. Yet my favorite thing I have done so far is taking care of animals while their families enjoy a vacation away! I got my first dog when I was in 3rd grade and couldn't imagine life without them now. I spent the last 10 years working with animals as well as having a full house at home. Both my dogs, champ and Oliver, I raised from 8 weeks old and did all their training myself. About: I’m Jess and I’m a full time programmer looking to spend time with dogs! I have had dogs all my life including small and large (150lbs!!) I have had 4 dogs in total since I have been born. I recently moved back home into my own apartment and I’m not able to care for my own dog. I’ve taken care of my own dogs my entire life and I miss it quite a bit! While I’m home, I want to provide dogs care while keeping myself busy as well! I’m very flexible and I’m a hard worker! If there are specifics to your dog, I promise to follow them to the T. About: I've taken care of dogs my whole life, had a Golden Retriever litter and have my own Golden. I love dogs and also love cats alike. I had 2 cats up until recently, but plan to get one soon. I have pretty open availability. I work from home with a loose schedule. I am always available after 2pm and free all day Fri - Sun. I have a Golden Retriever myself. Having a large dog, they need lots of attention and exercise. I am very on top of feeding and walking. I have a little bit of OCD so I love to follow a schedule.

About: I’ve taken care of all different breeds for about 9 years. I started dog sitting in highschool within my family and friends and then was referred to other clients! I am home all day so your pup will never be alone and will be actively playing all day! My goal is to make your fur baby as comfortable as possible here, like they are at home. I provide all dog bowls, beds, toys etc. I use non toxic cleaning supplies and provide filtered water only. **Daycare services will end effective March 1st (open 7am- close 5pm)** I have a dog of my own to keep yours company while I’m gone. I have a big fully fenced in yard and your pet is allowed free range throughout the house.
