I’ve spent my life around dogs and had the privilege of raising my own from puppyhood to his senior years — 14 amazing years together. While I’m not looking to bring a new dog into my home full-time right now, I still genuinely enjoy being around them. I tailor care to each dog’s needs and personality. Whether your pup is full of energy or prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to match their rhythm — from active walks to quiet downtime. My husband and I work full-time, and we work together to care for your dog during early afternoons through the evenings on weekdays, as well as full days on weekends. We team up to provide consistent, loving attention for your dog. Safety and trust mean a lot to us. Our girls have grown up around dogs and always show so much love and care — they’ll stop every dog we see just to say hi, give hugs, and plenty of belly rubs. We have a fenced yard where dogs can safely play, and no other dogs in our home, so your pup will have plenty of space and attention. We always follow the owner’s instructions to keep up with their usual routine — activity, meals, naps, and all — to make sure your dog feels comfortable and at home. We know dogs need both chill time and playtime, so we make sure there’s plenty of space to relax and feel comfortable, plus lots of chances to get active and use their energy. About: I’ve had dogs for many years. I also have done pet care for dogs and cats. I have worked at the zoo. I’ve had a bird and fish. I love reptiles and have cared for an iguana and snakes. I work full time as a teacher but would be available after school and on weekends. I could even do early mornings possibly if discussed. I have a fenced in yard for my dogs. I would follow any guidelines set by the owner for safety. I am very careful that animals do not escape because I know how that feels.

I've been blessed to retire early after an extensive career in different areas, one being prior work experience in the pet industry. I had plenty of experience with veterinarian offices throughout NE Indiana. But, the favorite titles I wear proudly are mom and dog mom and wife to my husband. Throughout the years I've had my heart full of animals -dogs being my speciality and of all sizes, breeds and characteristics. I am dependable, reliable and honest. And I’m easy to communicate with. I have been blessed to retire early after an extensive career in different areas, one being prior work in the pet care industry with plenty of trainings with several veterinarian clinics throughout NE Indiana. Your pet kid will be monitored 24/7 inside my home and outside of my home. As I do this with my own pet children. Throughout the years I've had my heart full of animals - dogs being my speciality of all sizes and breeds. While, also having some of the best cats in the mix of my dogs I care for them with all my background knowledge I've learned over the years of caring for and loving my dog babies. My home is always nice and tidy and so is my backyard. I keep their environment very tidy. I have a fenced in yard. My two dogs are never unsupervised during rain, snow or heat. I guess you would call me a helicopter pet parent. I do have nice kennels with bedding.

About: I, Carter and my mother Mindy, have been pet owners our entire lives. We have experience with young, adult, and senior dogs. Along with experience in administering certain types of medications, and our house is blind dog friendly thanks to indoor gates and a fenced in and safe backyard. We’ve recently lost our last dog and don’t plan to get another animal companion, but we love to help people care for their furry companions temporarily as a way to give back to the same people who did such for us when we were pet owners. Mindy works from home and loves to work outside in her garden, which would mean a lot of outside time for your pet in our fenced in backyard. Carter is around more in the mornings and nights meaning if your animal is a “night owl” they shall still be cared for round the clock. We have a designated area for food and water in our house, along with many toys and bones from throughout the years. We are in a very safe neighborhood with a fenced in backyard and lots of room to run. Any animals living with us will always be treated with kindness and a sense of belonging no matter the duration of their stay!
