I'm currently working part time from home in San Rafael, so I have a flexible schedule for drop-ins: walks, meals, playtime/inside/yard exercise, or just a bit of human interaction are all on the menu. I take locking doors and windows seriously in my own home, for myself and my own indoor pet. I maintain the same level of care for clients.

About: What sets me apart: With over 20 years of hands-on pet care experience, I bring a unique blend of skill, patience, and genuine love for animals. Special skills & experience: 🐾 Puppies & Kittens: From playful pups to bottle-feeding kittens, I’ve nurtured countless young animals, guiding them through important early milestones. 🐕 Senior Care: My current specialty is caring for senior dogs, including support for mobility or sensory challenges, gentler activities, and administering medication for age-related needs. ❤️ Medical Needs: I have extensive experience helping pets through surgeries and recovery, ensuring meds are given properly and comfort, plus recovery, is always top priority. 🌟 Behavior & Temperament: Years in rescue taught me how to patiently build trust with nervous or unsure pets, introducing them safely to new environments and other animals. Your pet’s happiness, health, and comfort are truly my passion. Whether you have a bouncing puppy, a mellow older friend, or a special-needs companion, I’ll tailor my visits and walks to their unique needs — always with kindness and care. I'm currently working or going to school part-time (depending on the season), so I have plenty of time to care for your pet(s). I’ll tailor my visits and walks to your pet's unique needs — always with kindness and care. I will also get to know your instructions clearly. I know how important it is to trust the care that you are leaving your beloved pets with.

About: I have been house and pet sitting for over 10 years from young puppies to senior cats. I mainly do it for extra income and for family, friends and referrals. I love learning about your pet's personality and quirks! I am currently in-between jobs so I have extreme flexibility. I often take dogs for walks while their owners are at work. I love going for hikes and to the beach. However, I always tailor my services to the owner and pet’s preference. I often both pet and housesit when owners will be out of town. My flexibility, kindness, cleanliness and communicative nature has built trust with my clients over the years. I respect house rules and make your pet the priority. I know your home is your safe space, and that’s why before I leave your home I make sure everything is exactly how you left it so that you can come home and immediately relax. I’ve been told by clients things like “our home is cleaner than how we left it” and “it doesn’t even seem like you lived here for a day, let alone 2 weeks!”

About: My family has always had dogs and growing up they were my main responsibility. I also have professionally dog-sat and walked for the past 4 years. I am currently a full time student but I have a very flexible schedule and am available in the mornings before 11am and most evenings to dog walk. I can play with your pup wherever you feel most comfortable whether that be in your home or at a nearby park we can make anything work!

About: To ensure your pet receives individualized attention, we host only one dog at a time. We’re a good fit for dogs who are over 1 year old, 15 lbs or more, spayed/neutered, fully potty trained, and happy sleeping solo (no human beds or bedrooms). These basics help keep the vacation smooth for everyone. Pick up/drop off: 6:00am - 7:00pm. We live with a wonderful Lab named Lincoln (no current job). We are able to do walks (and runs!) through the Watershed, Deer Park, Headlands and love to take photos. For longer stays, we do field trips (including a secret dog pool in Petaluma 🤫). We try to switch each day up to provide variety. Backyard with plenty of room and recently installed dog run. Fenced from road. Also a hammock should our guest prefer a more leisurely day. ;)

Please let me know what works best for you and your pups in advance! I would really appreciate knowing as much info about your doggo before taking care of them. Any medical, dietary, or physical concerns. If possible, I’d prefer to schedule an in-person meet up beforehand to connect with your pets. I love taking dogs out for fun hikes, runs, beach days, and dog parks adventures all around Marin. I try my best to make your pups as happy as they can be!

“Monika is always incredibly attentive. We’ve used her multiple times since getting a 3 month old puppy, and she has been very attentive to our requests as he gets older. She sends tons of pictures and videos, and we always come home to happy and tired pups.”

About: I’ve been watching dogs and cats for roughly 7 years! Many neighbors, friends, and family members have called upon me in moments where they need a dog/house sitter. I am responsible, honest, caring, and most importantly, a huge animal lover!! I just graduated from CAL POLY SLO and am waiting for my job with Clark construction to start in December. So I currently have lots and lots of free time to be allocating to your pets! The most important thing is to make sure that the animal is safe and comfortable in their environment. Typically, I would keep the dog in his/her home because of this. Some dogs get anxiety and I feel bringing them to a new place can really stir things up. I typically will spend the first day really getting to know the animal. I do this by taking it for walks, playing fetch, tug of war… etc.

“Maya has helped me care for my pets when needed for months now. She has shown great responsibility and care as she goes above and beyond to make sure tasks are completed and my pets are taken care of. She grasps special requests quickly, as my elder dog needed special medicine, and she was able to adopt and learn and made sure to ask questions when needed. Maya is a great human to be around, whether dog or human.”

Rachel L.
“Kind, caring and fun - everything you want in a pet sitter. Rachel is not only great with humans but with pets too, I have seen her interact with the various dogs she has house sat and the extra care she puts into it like taking them to the beach and giving them lots of love and attention over just walking them. She has a great attention to detail, is very trustworthy and is great at communicating. Can’t forget to add that she is also great with our furry felines as well. I highly recommend Rachel and know that having her around will bring you peace of mind.”

Ilaria M.
“We have used Ilaria multiple times to house sit and watch our Doberman. She has a great way with dogs and puppies and always does a good job following the list of needs!”

Chris & Aiste S.
“Incredibly nice guy with a love for all furry creatures. He has a full time job but has wanted to focus on care of animals. His new house is like a tiny vacation for any pet.”

Andrew C.
“My dog loves when Andrew visits. She knows she will receive extra love and care on those days, and reassurance that her “parents” will be back soon. She is always rested and relaxed when we return home.”

Joaquin K.
“Joaquin is a very caring and responsible young adult, 4 years into college and a current family member who cares for a 15 year old rescue dog.”
