Kavya was great. One of my cats is usually afraid of everyone and hides the whole time, but she came out for Kavya. She’s also very quick to respond.

I cannot stress enough how amazing our dog sitter Sue is! From the moment we met her, we knew our huskies Hulk and Smash would be in excellent hands. Sue is not just a professional in the truest sense of the word, but she genuinely cares for our dogs as if they were her own. Her attention to detail and her ability to ask the right questions truly impressed us. During our time away, Sue sent us regular updates with pictures and videos of our dogs playing and having fun, which made us feel at ease knowing they were in good hands. She was also very communicative and kept us informed about everything going on with our dogs. What impressed us most about Sue was her commitment to taking care of our dogs exactly as we would. She was attentive to their needs, kept them on their regular schedule, and even made sure to give them plenty of love and attention while we were away. It was clear that Sue went above and beyond to make sure that Hulk and Smash felt comfortable and safe during their stay. Overall, we could not have asked for a better dog sitter than Sue. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for our dogs truly made all the difference. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter who will treat their furry family members like her own. Sue truly is one of the best dog sitters we have ever had the pleasure of working with.

Hailey is the absolute best fur baby sitter ever! She loves our animals, and takes excellent care of our very old pup who sometimes needs a little extra TLC! She is easy to work with and great at communicating before and after! We will be booking her again if she's available in the future!

Abby is above and beyond as usual. She took great care of our dog and four guinea pigs. Two of our pigs needed extra medical attention (oral medicine + eye ointment), and she handled it really well. She also took adorable pictures of our pets to let me know they are healthy and happy. I highly recommend her!

Kennedy was great! She checked in on our kitty while we were away for a weekend, and provided cute photos. Our cat, Leia, seemed to really like her and she doesn’t always warm up to strangers right away. It gave me peace of mine throughout our trip knowing that Leia was being taken care of well. We will definitely be booking Kennedy again.

About: Hi! I’m Brittni! I’m fortunate to have the ability to work from home often, which means your pets get lots of company and attention throughout the day! I’m also a proud fur-mom with years of experience pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors. Whether your crew includes a tiny Frenchie, a giant Great Dane, a cuddly cat, a curious ferret, or a feathered chatterbox, I’ve probably loved on one before! Size, breed, or the number of pets in your family doesn’t scare me—I believe the more paws, the merrier! Need someone who can give medications, keep up with special care routines, or convince your stubborn pup that going outside is actually a great idea? I’ve got you covered. I’m comfortable caring for pets with special needs and always take the time to learn exactly what makes each pet happy, healthy, and comfortable. I know leaving your pets behind can be stressful. After all, they’re family—not “just pets.” That’s why I care for every furry, feathered, or scaly friend as if they were my own. Whether they love long walks, endless games of fetch, snuggling on the couch, or simply having someone nearby while they nap, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and spoiled while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your amazing crew. Let’s make your next trip worry-free—and maybe earn a few tail wags, happy purrs, and the occasional zoomies along the way! I have the ability to work from home during the week, which allows me to give your pet plenty of attention, care and companionship throughout the day. After work, and during weekends are usually very flexible for me. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I do have a long leash so your pet can enjoy safe outdoor time, in addition to regular walks if you’d like. In my home, in addition to my husband, I have two Frenchies, one chocolate lab, and a cat (who mainly keeps to himself), as well as children who love animals and help provide plenty of companionship for your fur-baby.

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets ever since I was little, I’ve lived with at least one pet almost my whole life. Because of this, I am able to recognize body language in pets with relative ease, and how to react based on what signals they’re sending. Most of my experience comes from dogs, but I also have plenty of experience playing with and taking care of cats, bunnies, chickens, turtles, and more! I have lots of energy, patience, and love to give any little (or big) creatures that cross my path! My current work schedule is extremely flexible, and I’m working part time, so I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets any time throughout the entire week! I can frequently stop by since my job keeps me on the move and spend loads of time with them before and after my shifts! Both of my own dogs are trained with an invisible fence. I have a pretty big yard so they don’t need to go on walks super frequently, but I still like to take them out every once in a while. I feed the dogs twice a day (once in the morning and once at night), but I take it by a day by day basis as sometimes they have leftover food, etc. I usually spend at least an hour or so of my day specifically playing with my dogs, but I understand that your pets will most likely have different play wants/needs. I am always down to cuddle and give lots of pets and belly rubs, but I would never force your pets to if they aren’t interested.

About: A home away from home your pets will be happy to come to. A clean and loving environment for your pets to spend the day or overnights. 8 acres of yard for playtime & walks. All pets are treated like family and given the up most of care. Take the worries off of your mind while you are at work or on vacation knowing that your pet is safe and well cared for. Your pet will never roam alone and always be walked on leashes. I don't want to put them in a fenced-in yard because they can easily jump over it or dig under it and run away. Lots of experience with giving medicine liquid or pills if your pet is on medicine from the vet. 🐾Bathing and full grooming can also be provided upon request during their visits with us. 10 yrs plus grooming experience with all breeds. Great cuts with special care & low pricing.🦮✂️❤️ There's plenty of time when your pet stays with us too give them walks and play time to make them feel at home and comfortable. You can trust me to always take your dog out on a leash and never let them run freely. I provide a safe environment for all the pets I watch.

About: Hello! My name is Stephanie, but I also go by Steph. I have 4 years dog grooming experience and I also have 5 years experience working at an emergency vet facility in the Washington, PA area. I accept any and all dogs for walking and boarding at your home. I have experience as well with dogs who need daily medications and treatment. That does not scare me! I am very partial to English Bulldogs, Boxers, Frenchies, Mastiffs, and Huskies! All breeds I have, or have had experience with. I look forward to meeting your four legged family member and treating them with the all the care and love they deserve! I am currently waiting to start school in September and am available 24/7 or whenever needed. After that I will be working 40 hours a week and will he available in the evenings at that time. I have a HUGE fenced in yard of my own, and three crazy dogs I care for daily as well. I would offer to sit dogs in my home, but my English Bulldog is very territorial and protective. It's best to watch your furry loved one at your home.

Kristen came in clutch! We made a last-minute decision to extend our vacation and booked an Airbnb in the small town of Cadiz where sitter selection was sparse. Kristen responded to my request immediately and was willing to drive 30 minutes after work to take care of Bogey. The visit was flawless, she followed directions perfectly, and we returned to a happy dog. His bully looks were no issue for her either. I also appreciated the pics she sent. We felt comfortable leaving his care in her hands and would do so again. Maybe with more than 7 hours notice next time ?

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Laboratory. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 93% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
