About: Hi! My name is Isabella A, and I’m a full-time student at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo. In my free time, I love being outdoors, whether it’s hiking, going to the beach and looking for shells, or exploring new places to eat. Growing up here on the Big Island, I was always surrounded by animals, which sparked my lifelong love for them. I’ve had experience caring for dogs, and cats since i was 10 and I understand how important pets are as members of your family. You can trust me to provide attentive care, lots of love, playtime, and snuggles for your four-legged family members. 🐶❤️ I am currently a full time student with a part time job. I will be available anytime during breaks (winter, spring, summer). During these breaks i will be available from 7am - 5pm! 😊 I would love to meet your furry companions and make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained while you are away! They deserve the best! ❤️✨

“Victoria was very responsive, prompt, friendly, reliable, communicative, and did exactly what I asked her to do. She spent time to make sure Tseze (and the farm dog) felt comfortable with her, something that is very important to me. Thank you Victoria, we look forward to seeing you again! Mahalo, Lindsay”

“Dani was fantastic and the fur kids loved her. They were happy to see her and sad when she left. Dani is respectful and responsive. She sent great photos and were completely relaxed knowing she was caring for our pets.”

“Lalaine was amazing with letting our dog out for a good walk during the day! She was consistently on time everyday, kept in great communication, and took good care of our pup. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I have always grown up with dogs in my life, and wanted to be a Veterinarian since I was little. I have worked at multiple humane societies caring for the dogs, and have an array of experience through schooling, and an externship at a Pet Clinic. I care deeply for animals of all types, and I would like to spend the rest of my life ensuring their wellbeing, and protection. I am confident that I can provide quality care for your furry babies, and make sure they are comfortable and happy! I have a keen eye for observing their behaviors/tendencies, so this will be important if they seem to be in pain or discomfort. I only want the best for your pet since I understand the importance of their companionship.
“This was a first meeting between Austin and our two girls. Koloa is a super outgoing and loves meeting new people so meeting Austin was no problem for her. Phoebe is more anxious about meeting new people but she warmed up to him quite quickly. I am sure we will definitely be seeing a lot of Austin in the future!!”

About: Love to work with all types of pets! Years of experience with dogs and cats, I am very attentive to care instructions and always leave the pet and parent happy! I’m always family & friends first option for pet care🤍 which is where I got my experience from. I’m currently back home for summer and my schedule is completely open! I love pets so this is the best way I could be spending my free time. I am very attentive to care instructions and I walk small/medium dogs because I am pretty small, I do love dogs of all sizes which is why I am open for visits and drop ins🥰 I am not knowledgeable about trainings however I do appreciate a dog that can listen to simple commands.

About: Who better to watch your dogs than someone who loves dogs? (and cats for the record!) Have experience with elder dogs, but have enough energy to keep up with the youngest of dogs. I’m open to anything from walks to trail runs. I’ve had pets since I️ can remember at all ages and currently take care of friend’s and family’s pets when they’re out of town. I’ve administed medicine and creams, bathed, brushed, and fed dogs most of my life.I️ love spending time outdoors and spend part of my time working freelance jobs in farming and construction, so my schedule is flexible. I️ can’t have dogs in my small place, so I’d love to watch and take yours out for you. Feel free to ask me anything!

“Shani has been an amazing sitter for our cats! She always puts so much effort into giving them attention and making sure they're entertained. I love getting her photos and updates on our kitties and it gave us peace of mind while we were away. Even when we had special care requirements (medication, feeding) she handled it perfectly!”

About: Hey guys, I have two dogs now and I've taken care of cats, dogs and birds since I was a kid. I love getting exercise with my dogs. I know how hard it is to find a good sitter (I am occasionally looking), so let me help you. If our schedules work out I am happy to help out! I work from home, so I am always around to help, talk to and keep company your loved pets. They will be cared for and in the company of my other frenchie's. I have a fenced yard. Within the fence we also have another fenced area in case one of the pets needs to be separated. It's a nice space because it's warm, with lots of toys and covered. We live on an acre, so taking walks is a plus! We allow the pets to sleep inside and we have lots of comfy beds.
About: Animals have been my passion and companions for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family shared our home with dogs, cats, and parrots, teaching me the value of love, responsibility, and compassion. For the past 12 years, I've had the privilege of professionally house and pet sitting, caring for a wide range of animals, from loyal dogs and cats to fish, many chickens, and even mules. I also have 2 cats of my own. With experience caring for animals of all ages, including seniors, I'm confident in my ability to provide gentle, patient, and loving care. When entrusted with your pets, you can rest assured that I'll give them the same love, attention, and dedication that I give to my own. I made a few tweaks to enhance your profile: - Added more descriptive language to help potential clients visualize your experience and care. - Emphasized your passion for animals and your ability to provide loving care. - Highlighted your experience with various animals and ages. - Ended with a reassuring message, emphasizing your commitment to caring for pets as if they were your own. Feel free to adjust or modify it to fit your style! I am a home caregiver part time, however my schedule is flexible which should allow me to fit you in. I'll manage my time and adjust to your pet's routines, and I follow instructions in detail and depth, ensuring your babies will be happy and comfortable in my care. I strive to be thorough in following any instructions left for care, and I will make sure your dogs are taken out frequently for potty breaks and walks as needed. I enjoy taking dogs out for walks or even hikes, if they require additional exercise and time outside, on island. I'm happy to provide photos for you as well as updates to let you know how things are going. If there is anything else you may need, I encourage you to reach out or feel free to ask any questions you have!

Marya is an excellent pet sitter. I was unable to physically take care of my cats due to heath issues. She responded quickly and I was able to know that my animals are well cared for. She sent photos of my pets so I could see the care they received. I highly recommend her for your pet caring needs.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kurtistown. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
