“Tiffany was great! She was prompt and professional and took great care of Maggie. She took her for walks and outside to play while we were away. She also has good dog management skills which were obvious when she came to meet Maggie and get instructions. She immediately calmed her down and brought her energy under control. Our house was neat and everything was in its place. We will definitely book her next time we are out of town!”

“Melissa was an absolute dream to work with for my two standard poodles! She stayed at my house while I was away, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. When I came home, the house actually looked better than when I left it — everything was neat, clean, and in perfect order. She sent wonderful photos and updates throughout the trip, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pups were happy and well cared for. I came home to happy, relaxed, well-exercised dogs who clearly adored her. This was hands-down the best pet sitting experience I’ve ever had. I will definitely be using Melissa again for future trips! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“Zamiya was absolutely outstanding, very communicative and took wonderful care of my fur baby. I will definitely book with her again!!! I never had to wonder how my baby was doing because she kept me updated with pics and videos which I loved because I didn't have to reach out to see how he was doing. I already knew!!”

“She was great with my 16 year old dog which takes patience and love. My pup sammie seemed so happy when I returned from my trip which filled me with piece of mind. I’ll definitely book in the future.”

“Erica was fantastic with our two miniature wires hair dachshunds. She stayed at the home and kept our dogs company while we were away over the Thanksgiving week. She kept us updated through the week and took them for walks. We highly recommend her.”

“Natalie took great care of our dog while we were away. I had some concerns leaving our dog with a stranger for the first time because he can be protective of his home. Natalie made the time to come meet our pup at a neutral spot and then headed to the home so he could get use to her in his environment. The meet and greet went well and our dog was excited to see her when she came to stay overnight. Natalie was very quick when returning my texts and calls. She took great care of our pup while we were away and we will use her again in the future.”

“Emma is amazing! Quick response when I requested booking for overnight stay. Our dogs all adjusted to her and they were cared for exceptionally! We were able to know everything was good at home which made our trip relaxing! Very greatful to find her! Thank you Emma.”

About: Greetings! I have been a pet lover for as long as I can remember, always with a soft spot for animals of all kinds. I grew up with a tiny chihuahua called Jerry, and then adopted a German shepherd named Laddie at 13 years old. After graduating college, we adopted a cocker spaniel named Mochi, who lives now at home with my mother. My neighbor next door also had several cats I’d pet sit frequently, so I am very experienced in caring for your cuddly baby. I also have experience administering medication and caring for elderly pets as well. Being away from home for an internship at a law firm, I sure do miss my fur baby, so I hope I can share that love with your baby as well! 🥰🐶🩷 pets are really man’s best friend. I will be working at my firm Mondays-Fridays 9-5, but outside of work, I am a homebody and will be home with your sweet pet! I also will be available full time on weekends to be home with your fur baby. Of course, I am very happy to accommodate your pet’s needs and routines to create a happy, safe, and relaxed environment for your pet while you are away 😊🐾 I am currently a student at Harvard Law School, in Austin for the summer for a legal internship. Aside from work hours, I am always at home, providing ample time to care for and accompany your sweet fur baby 🐶 Boarding: I live in a wonderful pet friendly community with lots of grassy fields for your pet to explore. I have a 0.5 acre fenced in backyard, perfect for your pup to run freely and play around in.
About: 3+ years of caregiving experience, I provide dependable, loving care for your pets while you’re away. From daily walks to overnight stays, your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I’m an active-duty Navy service member living on base with a lifelong love of animals. Since I can’t have pets of my own right now, I enjoy pet sitting as a way to spend time with and care for animals. I grew up around a variety of pets, have reliable transportation. I am available evenings, weekends, and over nights. I provide care in my clients’ homes, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications if needed, litter box or yard maintenance, and plenty of attention and affection.
“Deborah was a wonderful sitter for our 11 year old shih tzu. She took great care of him, the house, and was great at communicating and sending updates. We’ll absolutely have her watch Teddy again!”

About: I’ve taken care of so many dogs since i was 12. I use to work for pet care and got cpr training from there too. Im always active, i love walking, lifting, and being on the move for work. Walking dogs and playing with them, that makes me so happy. I will always walk them at their speed and play as much as they want. Making sure they’re safe, and making sure they’re comfortable too.
About: With 20 years of hands-on dog care experience, I’ve worked with breeds of every size, age, and temperament. I’m comfortable with puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and pups. I provide attentive walks, feeding, medication administration, and lots of affection, treating every dog like my own. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home full time, so I’m available on weekends during the day for walks and weekdays after 5:30pm, feeding, and check-ins. I also have two senior dogs of my own, so I’m experienced with age-related needs like mobility issues, medication schedules, and extra patience and care. In my own home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment with regular potty breaks, playtime, and cozy spaces to rest—especially important since I have senior dogs myself who need a quiet, low-stress setting. In a client’s home, I respect their pet’s normal routine, sticking to familiar feeding schedules, walk times, and resting spots.
“Shaun did an amazing job! He followed all of our directions, kept us updated, and took great care of Lex while we were away. Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 4,866 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Kopp. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kopp walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kopp maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kopp choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kopp. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
