About: Before college, I was the primary caregiver for my family’s dog, Max—handling everything from daily walks and feeding to bathing, training, and playtime tailored to his pace and personality. That hands-on experience taught me how to read a dog’s needs and build trust through consistency and care. I’ve also cared for multiple pets through prior sitting experiences, including three dogs of different sizes and three cats, so I’m comfortable adapting to a variety of temperaments, routines, and energy levels. While in college, I’ve continued growing my experience by volunteering with a local shelter’s Doggy Day Out program, taking dogs on walks, hikes, and special outings to give them enrichment and a break from the shelter environment. These experiences have strengthened my ability to care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm. I am currently a student at UNM and working part time, so my evenings are relatively free during the week. Friday afternoons - Sunday mornings are the best time for me to hangout with your pet and care for them full time. Your pet’s happiness, safety, and comfort will always be my top priority. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, affection, and attention—whether that means long walks, playtime, or just lots of love and cuddles. If you choose house sitting, your pet won’t just be cared for—they’ll have a constant companion who keeps their routine consistent and stress-free. I also love taking pets on little adventures, like trips to nearby parks, to keep them engaged and happy. I observed a cat surgery, the importance of aftercare and recovery. I’ve studied a Certified Veterinary Technologies performing a venipuncture safely. Growing up I had a lot of animals ranging from snakes, gerbils, hamsters, birds to cats and dogs. In a sense it taught me a lot of responsibility at a young age. I’ve had years of experience understanding the right diet/nutrition, structured hygienic health, behavioral patterns/management and medication needed for fuzzy friends! Currently I have OPEN availability! No furry companion is too big or too small to provide dietary/nutritional feeding times, potty breaks, midday check-ins, local dog walks, structured hygiene, health tracking & emergency preparedness! I am confident in my ability to provide exceptional care to beloved fuzzy friends from the moment they walk through the doors! I provide services to lovely pet owners to support in detailed instructions/expectations that I compile to! Includes but not limited to: fun playtime(indoor/outdoor) dietary, daily water intake, potty habits, long walks, & precise medication intakes!!

I can visit and feed in the mornings and am usually off work by 3pm or 4pm which give me plenty of time to walk feed and spend time with your furry friends. My own pets receive daily love, attention, enrichment, fresh food and water, regular exercise, and a consistent routine that helps them feel safe and happy. I pay close attention to their behavior and health so I can quickly notice if something seems out of the ordinary. When caring for someone else’s pet, I follow their routine as closely as possible because I know consistency helps pets feel comfortable while their owners are away. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique personality, respecting their boundaries while giving them the affection, playtime, exercise, or quiet companionship they need. Throughout the short day Skyler kept me updated and sent me pictures of my dog. When my dog unexpectedly got scared of intense thunder, Skyler reached out to see if there was a thing she could do to comfort her. Skyler is super caring and communicative!
