“A big concern of ours when going away for a long weekend, or a long vacation, is ensuring our dogs are being well taken care of. Boarding is not an option for us, so it's important to find a loving home for them to be a part of while we are away. John, Rachel and their children did exactly that. They provided updates with pictures on a daily basis. One of our dogs was recovering from gastroenteritis and was on meds and a bland diet. We left knowing that she was going to be well taken care of on her road to recovery. We really liked that both our dogs were the only clients during their stay. Their two dogs are well behaved and great companions. We couldn't ask for anything more! Thank you!”

About: I have loved dogs since I was a child. As a pre-teen, I used to go to my neighbors' homes to take their dogs for walks. Then, in 1993, my parents finally gave me my first dog—a black English Cocker Spaniel. I haven't been without dogs since. The first one was stolen when he was a year old. The second, another black Cocker, lived for 14 years. During that time, I also had a Yorkshire Terrier who lived to be 17. Currently, I have a 12-year-old female Papillon who came with me from Brazil a little over two years ago. I am Brazilian and qualified as a veterinarian in 2003. I spent six years working in a clinic treating dogs before switching to a different area of ​​veterinary practice for personal reasons. Since moving to the US, I have been a full-time mom, as my youngest daughter is not yet school-age. I believe a meet-and-greet is beneficial for both parties; it’s a time for pets and their owners to get to know me better, and for me to get to know the pet (I like to fill out a form during this time to record details about them). I understand that just like us, dogs need regular walks to stay happy, healthy and mentally stimulated. If life gets busy and you're unable to take your pup out as often as you'd like, I'd be happy to help. I also offer loving in-home care for pets who prefer to stay cozy and comfortable in their own home while you're away. Services offered: dog walker, boarding, drop-in visits and doggy day care. I offer other pet services upon request. I am currently a full-time mother and homemaker, so I do not have a job that keeps me away from home for long stretches at a time. I have a friendly 12-year-old female dog, but she doesn't know how to play with other dogs; she’s a companion for quiet moments rather than playtime. I have three children—aged 4, 6, and 9—who adore dogs and love playing with them. I live in a house without a fenced yard. The raised deck has a gate and is a spot where my dog ​​likes to hang out and watch the activity. I’ve installed a 34-inch removable fence in a small area where a dog can be left without constant supervision (provided they aren't a climber or a jumper).
