About: I have grown up around dogs my whole life, I would love to spend time with yours! I treat every dog I see like they’re my little baby even if I just ask their owner to love on them! I’d love an opportunity to help you and be trusted with your fur baby :) I am currently working very part time, I have too much time on my hands so I would love to keep your baby company! Or them keep me company…😂. I have 3 dogs of my own and a big fenced in yard, I live right by a school with a track and lots of grass! My dogs in my home are the babies, we treat them how we would a child and nothing less! I have a big fenced in yard with even more grass just across the street for your dog to release some energy in!
“Aaron & Katherine were so lovely to Buddy, they sent me videos and photos while I was away from my little guy, which I super appreciated! Would highly recommend as your next pet sitter!”

“Natacha was great in caring for our elderly kitty. She doesn't normally warm up to strangers, so Natacha is clearly a cat whisperer! :) Thank you so much, we would book with you again in a heartbeat!”

“Thank you so much for allowing Murphy to be a part of my big day!! You guys were so helpful by picking him up and dropping him off at our venue! Connor and I had the most magical day thanks to the ease and help from you both! Thank you!!!”

About: I've always grown up with cats and dogs and love them both. I've also managed to travel in a car cross country with cats, neither of which required medication. This may qualify as a miracle, but I must first check with my local priest. I of course love dogs, and speak their language of long walks and being active (and just a bit silly). I work from home, on east coast hours. So, I'm an early riser! Done around 3 in the afternoon, ready for walkies (or a run)! I have a fenced in back yard, with friendly and quiet neighbor dogs on either side (who are also fenced in). I am at home during the day, available for on call potty breaks and sneaking in a quick walk.
About: My parents have owned senior dogs my whole life which I help with, I have my own dog and help with others. I love taking care of dogs of all shapes and sizes. I work at a factory so I get a lot of time off so I would love to take care of animals on my days off. My mom has a fenced yard and a really clean house. We own 3 little dogs and they have all the toys in the world.
“Very very pleased. Such a sweet girl and obviously cares for your animals as her own. Super reliable, available for updates and thorough with her attention to care under her watch. Cant say enough good things about experience except big thank you to her!”

About: I grew up surrounded by animals. I’ve had my own dogs my entire adult life. I’ve had up to four dogs at a time, and currently have two. I have chocolate lab puppy and a and a four year old griffon. My dogs are my whole world, and I will treat yours just the same. I work from home, so I am available all the time. I have a big fenced yard, and doggie doors to get inside and out. I love to take photos and will happily send you a few beautiful pics of your dog(s) for you to cherish. In the summer there’s a play pool in the backyard and lots of room to run around. The dogs are welcome inside or out, and I have a crate if needed. I have a very flexible schedule and lots of free time for your pups. In the summer you will find us in the backyard and in the winter snuggled by the fire. I have a fully fenced large yard for them to run and play. My dogs are pretty chill. Huey loves to play and Maia loves to eat sticks.

About: I have had all kinds of dogs my entire life from corgis to Great Danes. I have experience with more “aggressive” breeds like Pitbulls and all sorts of shepherds. I have experience caring for elderly dogs as I have had multiple myself as well as high energy dogs. I have had dutch shepherds, german shepherds, labs, hounds and many others. I also currently have two rottie pups that i adore. Pet care is apart of my daily life as i have 2 wonderful dogs of my own. I enjoy caring for animals and hanging out with them. I like taking my own dogs on walks and to the dog park as much as i can. I have inside dogs as i live in an apartment but we spend lots of time outside on leashes and i take them on consistent walks every day. I allow dogs on couches and I can provide crating if needed. I always try to look for whats in the dogs best interest!

“This was my first time leaving my large dogs for 2 weeks and I was a nervous dog mom and probably a bit of a bother at times but Lillianah was so patient and made the process as comfortable as possible. She did a drop in before the date so the dogs could meet her ahead of time which was really nice. During the 2nd week, the dogs started tearing up their beds and eating less. Lillian sent me updates letting me know what was going on. She was very patient and accommodating with my requests and did an excellent job of taking care of them. They were back to their usual behavior right away. I'm so grateful to have found them happy and healthy when I returned. Lillianah showed that her main priority was the well-being of the animals and she was flexible with her visits which was so important to me. She truly went above and beyond what I expected. I would definitely recommend Lillianah to anyone who wants the best care for their fur babies. I will definitly be booking future appointments with her.”

About: I have been taking care of animals for over 25 years. When I was 11 years old I started caring for neighborhood pets. I would go door to door asking if they would like their dog walked. I loved it! Along with dog walking, I also took on doing drop in visits feeding and watering my neighbors pets when they were away. Now as an adult I have taken courses through the Animal behavior institute to better understand their behavior and help with training. During pet sitting visits, I’ll follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, providing fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of love. My goal is to help your dog feel comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in caring and reliable hands. Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
