“We have used Myle several times now to watch our dog Frankie and are very pleased. Frankie fits right in with her home environment and gets along well with her dogs. She spends a lot of time playing tug and fetch with him and takes him out for many walks. Frankie is well cared for and Myle posts lots of pictures of him to keep our mind at ease. We highly recommend Myle!!!”

“Butterscotch enjoyed his stay with Chrissy and her family. He built a great friendship with her pet. He came back home exhausted. Chrissy was so kind and patient with Butter. We were very impressed and relieved to have found a trustworthy pet sitter that would attend to his needs. He was treated like a king. We highly recommend Chrissy. Thank you and we appreciate you!”

“Josh was great with our dog. We appreciated the opportunity for a meet and greet before our trip. While we were away, Josh sent us daily updates and nade sure our dog was comfortable and cared for. When our flight was cancelled and we couldn't get home at the planned time, Josh was flexible and helpful in extending our dog's syay by a day.”

“Steve was an exceptionally good dog sitter for our two dogs. They had never spent overnights with a different person, so we were not sure how it would go, but Steve was really good with them. He sent us texts and pictures more than once a day to reassure us they were in good shape. He was kind and friendly with them, going above and beyond to care for them. We highly recommend Steve and will certainly seek him out for future sittings.”

“Tiffany was great! Lucy enjoyed her time there. I think she has a crush on Fargus. We received update photos daily. This is definitely as pet friendly with with great caretakers. We will book with her again for our next trip”

“Nathan is a trooper, all in no matter what "in" entails. When we left Sam, Nathan immediately took time to connect with him - he met our dog's excitement with a peaceful, calm demeanor. Unfortunately while we were away, Nathan had an accident resulting in painful injuries. Due to flights, the earliest we could get back was a day early (he didn't ask, we offered.) I felt terrible, but there was nothing we could do from our end. When we did pick up our large and active pup, he was happy, peaceful, clean, and seemed to be cared for. Once Nathan has had a minute to heal we will absolutely book with him again. Much gratitude and swift recovery, Nathan!”

“Christina took great care of my Archie while I was out of town for the weekend. Her prices are a great deal and she took care of my puppy like he was her own. I hate leaving my baby, but Christina sent lots of pictures and always responded quickly when I reached out. Will definitely be booking again!”

“Ashley was very accommodating and flexible and understood that Hank was stressed when we left him. She let him snuggle for comfort and made sure he had what he needed to settle in. We will use her again. Thanks, Ashley. We appreciate the care you gave Hank.”

“Kat was a wonderful, caring sitter for our dog. She was very attentive to our requests, sent lots of pictures, and spent lots of time with our dog. It was obvious on picking up our dog that she enjoyed her stay with Kat.”

“Emily took care of my Bucky for 5 days while I took a trip back to my hometown. She always kept up updated and sent lots of pictures of him ! It help me feel calm and relieved knowing he was in good hands while I was away and was having so much fun with bowser and odie !! I would definitely recommend her for pet sitting your babies!”

“Caitlin (and John) were great! Norm had multiple walks/day and she sent pics and videos of him playing and hanging out with the family throughout his stay. They were very accommodating with drop off and pickup times.”

“We think Erin is great and would book again. It’s nice knowing you can leave town and your pet is well taken care of. Erin sent us pictures of Winston while we were away and that was so nice because we sure missed our boy! When we got home Winston got to play with other pups and he loves that, I think he was sad he had to come home.”

About: I was five years old when I got my first puppy, and ever since then I’ve been in love with animals. I have a lot of experience caring for different types of animals and I would love the chance to meet and spend some time with your best friend! I currently work a full time job in Cedar Rapids, so I would love to spend time with your furry friend in the afternoons or weekends. The services that I’m currently offering are house sitting, drop-ins and walks. I would love the opportunity to come to your home and spend some time with your pet!
“Emily did an awesome job of taling care of Lucy. She sent me daily photos and text updates on how everything was going. Tgis was a cery short notice request and Emily took it all in stride and made it happen. We will use her again”

“Sana did a wonderful job taking care of our 11 month old puppy. It was the first time we left her for more than 1 overnight. We were gone for 11 days. Sana sent pictures or videos everyday to let us know how JoJo was doing. When JoJo was showing signs of discomfort, Sana went above and beyond taking care of our pup and making sure she was as comfortable as possible. It was obvious Sana loved our puppy as her own and that our puppy loved her back. I was appreciative that Sana let me know something wasn't right with our pup without worrying me too much on vacation but also being respectful and considerate by reaching out for my input on how to handle the situation. Sana was also very flexible with drop off and pick up times. We had a meet and greet ahead of time which helped ease our minds about everything. We will definitely be asking Sana first next time we are looking for a sitter.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Keystone home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Keystone.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Keystone sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
