“Svitlana was great with our Border Terrier, Kimi. She sent updates and photos daily. She walked Kimi in the neighborhood and played ball with her in the yard. Kimi came home happy, so we will hire Svitlana again!”

“Jesse & Emily treated my Angel like she’s a family. Angel was greatly taken care of, even made friends with Hazel and Nola (kids). We received daily updates and pictures. We’re forever grateful for this family.”

“Paula is absolutely amazing! She is very responsive and provided a loving, comfortable home for my boy Archie. Her expertise and passion for dogs made me feel at ease knowing my fur baby was in a safe and caring environment. I highly recommend Paula to anyone looking for a top notch doggy sitter and will absolutely book her again.”

“Hillary was fantastic! Whaley stayed with her for 10 days and we received continuous communication and pictures. He was even hesitant to leave her house when we went to pick him up because he was so happy there.”

“This was our first time leaving Pepe with a sitter and our first time using Rover, so we were a bit nervous, you never really know who you’re leaving your dog with. But Riley was exceptional from the very beginning. Even before I booked her, she helped me figure out how the app worked and made the whole process easy. During Pepe’s stay, she kept me 100% informed at all times with photos, videos, and messages. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and professional. I truly felt peace of mind knowing Pepe was in her hands. I have no doubt he was well cared for, and I would absolutely book her again. Thank you so much, Riley, for treating Pepe like your own dog, we truly appreciate it.”

“Lina and her family did an amazing job! Our blue heeler is high energy and needy for attention, and they managed to actually meet his incessant demands for belly rubs and playing fetch. I will definitely rebook in the future!”

“Mark and Daniel did ana amazing job looking after the pups for the weekend so much love and care was put into ensuring their stay was comfortable and enjoyable! They were also great about sending updates and pictures throughout the dogs stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place for their fur babies.”

“Katina did a wonderful job taking care of our pup. We felt at ease with her photo and message updates. Pizza looked like he had a blast with her doggos and we hope that they’ll get to hang again in the future!”

About: I’ve always had animals in my younger life from cats to dogs, and even though I only have a cat I continue to love dogs. My current housing situation allows me to share dog sitting and caring of his clients dogs (ages 9 months to 14 years) for the last ten years. Since then I have asked my neighbors for tending to the needs of their dogs be it from a 5 mile walk on and off leash to a 100 yard potty break in addition to giving medications. I’m currently working part time three days a week and an occasional Saturday, so I have the time to care and interact for your furry friend. I live in a neighborhood with easy access to the Rivanna trails and a road trip access to a farm with woods in Earlysville for running in fields. I also have a very tolerant cat who actually enjoys dogs staying with me because she’s learned that visiting dogs often get a treat she’s earned one too. My house has hardwood floors on the first floor throughout access to the carpeted lower level is through a door. The dog would have free range of the house while we were at home and unless he/she is accustomed to be crated.

“Mary watched my dog Rizzo for a week and she was absolutely wonderful. Rizzo was right at home with her family and I could immediately tell from her updates that he was happy and comfortable. Her children were also wonderful with Rizzo. I highly recommend Mary for anyone looking for dog sitting! Your pet will be loved and cared for just like Rizzo.”

“I would definitely recommend this boarder to anyone who wants the Best Care for their Furry Family Member! He is respectful, shared photos, and his communication is right on point!”

“Jenny was terrific especially as she was challenged by my 70 lb lab grand-dog who got into everything, including some horse feed. She seemed to take it all in stride, the dogs seemed happy and all was well. I didn't realize how many dogs would be together that weekend; a good thing to ask if it matters to you. Our dog, Gracie, would love to return!”

“Hank came home exhausted which means he had a blast. Cynthia did a great job in every Dept from communication to updates throughout the weekend. We were extremely pleased with her work.”

“Moxie had a great time staying over with Caroline. I loved getting photos and updates. Caroline is very experienced with dogs who have special needs and she is warm and friendly. So glad we found her!”

“We cannot say enough about the loving and caring environment created for our 🐶. She is 5 and had never stayed with anyone other than family and somehow Jani & Paul made it seem like our Lucy was with family. We cannot recommend them enough!”

About: Hey y’all! I have taken care of pets, specifically dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Louisiana with 2 dachshunds in my family home. One of them had diabetes, so I am experienced with giving shots and oral medication. In addition to taking care of the weenie dogs, I had a pet hedgehog and chameleon in high school. I truly love animals of all kinds. I grew up walking and dog sitting for family friends and neighbors. In high school, I was an involved volunteer at my local humane society. When I was in college, I ended up rescuing a dog from that shelter. My parents took him in since I lived in a college dormitory. After I graduated college, I couldn’t wait to get my own dog! Here in Charlottesville, I have 1 dog now, Pretzel, who is a small lab mix. He is also a rescue, and is my world! I can’t wait to meet, walk, and watch your pets! I have a non-traditional work schedule that is unpredictable but also flexible. I go into work most week days, or sometimes work from home. My hours can vary, but I always make time to walk my dog Pretzel multiple times a day with trips to the dog park when I can. I am available on the weekends. In my home, Pretzel roams free. I do not kennel him, as he is potty trained. I want Pretzel to be able to roam around as he pleases. Pretzel sleeps with me every night.
“Linkin had a wonderful time with Julie and her family! I could not have asked for a better communicator, and “fill in” dog mom while I was away! Linkin was well taken care of and sooo happy! Thank you for your help!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kelly Town-Rugby Heights
Riley is simply the best dog sitter you can search for. She is conscientious, organized, responsive, and she loves dogs. Her way with dogs is special; she paid attention to our dog for the week we booked, and the entire time we were away, we were at ease knowing our dog was cared for like family. It is without reservation that we give the highest rating for Riley - again, simply the best!

Penny was an outstanding sitter to work with. Our pups seemed to do really well with her and her own dogs. She was very accommodating, a great communicator, and super easy to work with in every respect. We were also sent plenty of pictures throughout their visit. I’d recommend Penny to anyone looking for help with their pet(s).
