“I definitely recommend Ashleigh as your next pet sitter! She went above and beyond and made sure our cats were well taken care of! We were surprised that our shy little guy came out and played with her while we were away. She’s awesome!”

About: I am a dog and cat lover with one dog of my own! I’ve grown up with dogs and cats in my family and have taken care of pets for neighbors and aunts over many years. I’m 20 and currently working part-time and a student at Santa Rosa Junior College, but I still have free time on my hands each week. I’m looking for some extra fun work with animals! My dog at home has a large fenced in backyard and gets walks twice a day. I will cater to the client’s needs based on their pet.

“Gigi is amazing! She took loving care of our three kitties while we were away for a week and did visits twice a day and went above and beyond to play with them and give lots of love so that they didn’t feel so lonely without us . Our kitties absolutely loved her and she sent frequent texts and pictures which were very much appreciated because we missed our fur babies so much while we were away! I 100% recommend her, and we will definitely use her the next time we are away! <3”

“Peter was very patient and compassionate with my reactive dog. He has a lot of knowledge and understanding of behaviors and went above and beyond to make her comfortable. He clearly wants to ensure the best possible experience for you and your pet.”

“Lauren was so great with our pups! We were visiting and she came to our inn to stay with them while we went out to dinner. The pups took to her right away and barely noticed we were gone. She sent pictures of our content pups so we felt comfortable lingering over dessert. We will definitely call her again when we’re in the area!”

“Lilith was amazing. She gave our pets the time and attention we requested. I was very happy with the communication and respect she showed during her visits. We will be using her again in the future.”

“Cambryel Is a dog whisperer. My dog who gets easily overexcited was completely relaxed immediately when he met her the first time. Then she came back for the second time when I wasn't home to see how he would be, and he was again very mellow. She has a calming presence for super active dogs, like doodles, and also experience with the more energetic breeds.”

About: Working with animals brings great joy to my heart, feeling very intuitively attuned to their needs and wants. Also taking good care of the owner. Currently I have quite an open schedule to care, walk, sit or to board pets. 2-4 days a week I volunteer at a couple of animal sanctuaries with a flexible schedule depending on things. Pets would be given the utmost care and attention here at my home or at the owners. I am comfortable with pets on couch and even to snuggle in bed with me too. Your pet would be cared for as if it were my very own, with lots of love.
“Mariah did a great job taking care of our two cats. One is pretty shy but her calming energy got her to come out for some pets and treats. She also administered a trans dermal thyroid medication on the inside ear of our other cat without issues. Would recommend.”

“Kendall took care of our cat Luna while we were on vacation in Mexico for a full week. It was our first time using Rover so I was a little anxious. Kendall took great care of Luna and sent pictures every day when she did her daily check in. I felt assured Luna was being well taken care of and really appreciated Kendall's communication and could tell Luna enjoyed her visits. I highly recommend Kendall and would definitely use her again to take care of our cat(s) in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 5 years old. I have experience with both small and large breeds. It will be all love and play that your furbaby won’t even notice you’re gone! I work full time on weekdays (11am-6pm), with a 30 min commute, and am available early mornings and evenings. On weekends I am free almost all day. I have a dog at home and cannot care for more at my place due to limited space. I am happy to care for others at their home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Kellogg. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
