About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was little and have always been obsessed with them! I will treat your pup like my own and give them all of the love and care they deserve. I raised and trained my 1.5 year old pup and can carry on any training with your pup when they are here. I work a full-time remote job so I will be home all day to tend to your dogs needs. I have a 2 year old dog named Finley that I regularly walk before and after work, care for and make treat puzzles for during the day, and I have a very pet friendly home. I am flexible to carry out your dogs routine to make sure they feel right at home! I have a large fenced yard and my own dog to keep your pup company. I can crate your dog when needed or let them roam the house and make themselves comfortable. I always have all food and any hazards out of reach so the pups can’t get into any trouble!

“My dog loves Katharine, and my daughter's shy dog also loves her. She did a great job walking my dog: she was very reliable and responsive and made my dog happy. I highly recommend her.”

“I am so appreciative of Jessi! Her communication and care for Kit has been amazing. It was great to know that I had a trusted person to take her out while I was away at school.”

About: I have always had pets growing up, so I learned at a young age how to care for dogs, cats, fish, and Guinea pigs. I have my own pet currently! I have a cat and her name is Willow. I take care of my cat every day, I check her food and water bowls twice a day and make time to play with her to give her a workout. I do have a cat, so if I end up taking car of your dog for the day I will most likely avoid bringing them to my home unless you tell me that they get along well with cats. I can take them for walks and to the park or for rides if they enjoy that too!

About: Hi there, I’m Kaitlyn! I’ve been around animals my whole life as I started fostering and volunteering with local rescues and shelters. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve cared for animals of all sizes and personalities. I’m comfortable with energetic pets, shy animals, senior pets, and multi-pet households. I always aim to make animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, or just extra cuddles and attention, I’m happy to match their needs and routine. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone else is caring for your pets, so I make sure to provide reliable care and regular updates throughout visits or stays! Feel free to reach out with any questions, I’d love to get to know you and your pets! I recently graduated with my master’s degree, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to provide attentive, reliable care for your pets! My goal is always to help pets feel relaxed, safe, and loved while staying in their familiar environment. I’m attentive to routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and any special instructions to ensure the best care possible. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos for extra peace of mind!
About: I grew up with dogs and cats. I currently own 2 dogs, a pit bull and husky. I also have 1 cat. Over the years I have fostered for the shelter and anytime I find a lost animal, I do everything I can to get them home. I really enjoy being around animals and I love to help people anyway I can so it makes it fun. I am not currently working so free most of the time. I have a medium fenced yard and my husband and daughter love all animals. Although we have a newborn, we keep up work with child/pet safety.
“Crissie was awesome will definitely book with her again for my pup! She came beforehand to meet him and make sure he’d be comfortable and to get to know our routine. She was easily reached and always attentive to my boy’s quirky ways. She sent me lots of updates and gave me quick summaries of their walk. Relieved a lot of stress for me on my 12+ hour shifts! Your pets are in good hands w her”

About: I have had dogs since I was a kid, and really miss having one of my own! Sadly my two childhood dogs have now passed, but I’m looking forward to taking care of your animals. One of my favorite experiences as a kid was taking my dogs on walks, and how excited they would get at just the word walk. Thanks for considering me! I am a full-time RN. I worked 3 12s a week so I’m very flexible. On my days off I am currently only doing homework working on my BSN. So virtually on my days off, I have all time availability! I would care for a pet by making sure they know I’m in their house. I would also be calm and make sure the pet trust me before caring for them. I would never pick up someone’s pet unless told other wise. I would be able to feed, clean after, and take out peoples pets. I would also give walks if needed and whatever else they wanted.
About: I grew up around animals and learned early how to care for them with patience and love. My mom has been a pet sitter for eight years, and I’ve spent that time helping her with walks, feeding, drop-ins, and in-home care. Being around pets has always felt natural to me, and I’m comfortable caring for animals of different ages, personalities, and routines. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and my schedule is super flexible. I like hanging out with pets in their own space, keeping them company, and making sure everything feels normal and stress-free while you’re gone. When I stay in your home, I focus on keeping things normal for your pet. I handle meals, walks, and hangout time, making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and cared for while you’re away.
About: I have spent my entire life around animals! As a child, I grew up on a small family farm in southeast Kansas where we raised livestock, rode horses, and loved many family pets. For 13 years, I participated in 4-H which included multiple animal projects including showing horses and training and showing dogs, among others. As an adult, I have surrounded myself with pets. Currently, we have a 3-year old Great Dane, an 8-year old Pit Bull mix that we adopted from a local rescue, and a 12-year old Snowshoe Cat. I have a lot of experience with high-need animals. In November 2023, we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to my dream dog, a 1.5 year old Great Dane, due to heart issues that he developed. While it was tragic, I did learn a tremendous amount and gained a ton of experience through his intensive care. I would love to share my love of animals with you and take care of your pets. Ours truly are part of our family and yours would be treated the same! I have a full time job but currently work from home so our animals are rarely alone. Working from home affords me a ton of flexibility to care for your pet when needed! We have a large, fenced in yard where I can care for your pet along with two dogs and a cat that would love to keep your pet company! I am happy to also drop in to your home if your pet is more comfortable in their own environment. This is how we provided care to our high-needs Great Dane when he was ill so I completely understand the need to keep your pet home when needed if that is where they are comfortable.
“Danielle and Joseph are so wonderful with my puppy! They always take the time to talk to my daughter and I before and after walks! Charlee loves that Danielle brings treats and I’m so happy they help with training her!”

About: Hi there! My name is Marie. I am new to Rover, but not new to pet care! I worked as a dog walker and pet sitter for about six years before moving to Kansas City and then to Manhattan. My husband, Anthony, and I have a friendly Australian Cattle Dog mix and a cat in our home. Our dog loves to walk and explore the outdoors! So we are always very active. Your pet will get plenty of love and playtime with us! Your pet can expect lots of love and play time! I am very flexible and would love to work with you to ensure your pet gets care that’s perfect for them. I am working full-time in Manhattan. I am available during lunch, evenings, and weekends! My husband is also working in Manhattan with a flexible schedule and he is always available to assist with pet care duties. I will provide the same level of love and care I give to my own pets! Let me know what your pet’s normal routine is and I will everything I can to accommodate their needs.

About: Lifelong pet owner with experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. Reliable, attentive, and committed to providing loving care! I have two dogs of my own that are my whole world! I’m currently a stay at home wife & dog mom of two! I have very open availability to make sure your pets are cared for & will have everything they need throughout the day/night. I also would have time to go on walks or have play time with your animals to make sure they get all their energy out to have a good afternoon nap! I have a fully fenced yard with plenty of room for your pup to get some energy out! I have two dogs of my own that love to make new friends. One male 2 years old lab that is a crazy loving little man who will play well with anyone! I have a 6 year old female heeler who is very curious and is happier to sit on the sidelines when her brother is getting to play with others, but if your pup wants to snuggle or get their ears cleaned, she’s your girl! I treat my pups like they’re my babies so I wouldn’t treat yours any differently. I know how hard it can be to find someone reliable or trustworthy to watch your animals so with me you wouldn’t have to worry!
About: I am a college student looking for some extra income! I love all kinds of animals and have had pets my whole life. I've owned everywhere from cats and dogs to tarantulas, fish, reptiles, amphibians, rodents, various insects and arachnids, and more, so I am open to helping with any other kinds of animals you might have! I have done pet/house sitting for friends and neighbors quite a bit, so I have lots of experience! I have class and other odd jobs sporadically throughout the day, but I can regularly check in on pets and do some adjusting of my schedule as necessary. Just let me know your pet’s needs and I will see what I can do! I love to spend time with animals and I will gladly meet the needs of whatever pet I am caring for…whether that’s play-time, cuddles or just someone nearby to keep them company! I know that every pet is different and I would like to hear about your pet and do my best to meet their needs for them to be safe and comfortable!

About: I have had pets as long as I can remember! I am a lover girl of animals and being able to take care of someone’s sweet pet while they are away would be an honor! I am an active duty single soldier who loves taking care of peoples animals since I can’t have one of my own long term due to a deployment lifestyle. I have taken care of pet owners pets on post and off post and it’s always manageable! I make sure to ask the owner for all things about the pet and always provide updates. I love to get them exited and happy with playing outside or going on a nightly walk before bed.
“Faith was amazing! She agreed to walk my dog last minute while I was going to be out of town for the whole day. She also was very communicative and followed my instructions perfectly. I would totally have her again! :)”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
