About: I have worked in a mix of animal care, environments, includinga rescue, multiple dog daycare/boarding facilities, grooming, and volunteered at pet shelters. I understand how important exercise can be for all fur babies. I believe a positive and vibrant environment benefits all pets. All animals need attention and I am willing to give them 100% and nothing less than satisfactory. I carry portable bowls, water bottles, snacks, and clean up bags on hand at all times. Expect photo updates of your precious fur babies during walks and boardings. During my time, I learned about appropriately introducing dogs, how to care and attend to every dogs need, and how to interpret their behavior. Your family member will not go without walks, play time, food, water, snacks, kisses, cuddles, and of course loads of love.

I will treat your pet like my own and give them all the love they deserve. Have a large Great Dane so dog size is not an issue, have had everything from a wiener dog to a horse. Have birthed and raised litters of puppies as well as bottle fed puppies with cleft plates in mouth. Never afraid of any dog, if your worried your dog is “aggressive” it is not a worry to me. Getting out the army and have nothing but free time on my hands to work. Can be available on short notice to provide care to pets Have fenced yard and senior Great Dane that loves to play, I keep my dog inside most the day and only outside for walks or bathroom breaks. I think pets should spend their days indoors getting belly rubs

“Megan was great! We were visiting from out of town and she took care of everything with zero stress. Communication was easy and the whole experience was smooth and simple. We’d definitely book with her again!”

About: I have the biggest heart for dogs and if I can show them love while their owner is away I would be so so grateful! I am an active duty soldier who loves taking care of pets since I can’t have one of my own long term due to the lifestyle. I have taken care of pets on and off post and it’s always manageable! I make sure to ask the owner for all things about the pet and always provide updates. I love to get them excited and happy with playing outside or going on a nightly walk before bed.
“She always did great with my Great Dane! He’s a sensitive boy and he LOVED going on walks with her. She was also super helpful when I contacted her last minute for anything. 10/10 recommend”

About: I've taken care of animals' since I could walk, I care for each animal like they're my own. You can trust me with your babies. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, I can take care of your babies anytime. Anything you need, let me know and I can help as much as I can! I have 2 great Danes who are VERY spoiled and cared for. They have their own beds, couches, toys and a fenced in yard to run around in and play!

“My dog loves Katharine, and my daughter's shy dog also loves her. She did a great job walking my dog: she was very reliable and responsive and made my dog happy. I highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life. Having had multiple breeds myself, I am familiar with the different needs that dogs require. I’m a certified dog trainer who is available for walks, boarding, drop ins and daycare. I am a stay at home mom, who has two dogs of her own. My schedule is pretty flexible for walks and daycare. I’m available pretty regularly. I have a fenced in yard, that contains my two Australian Shepherds. It is a chain link fence so dogs will be able to see through the fence. I let my dogs out regularly to play, where they have access to water outside as well as inside. While dogs are playing, I am present in order to intervene if there is any issues that arise (dogs are unpredictable and can get overwhelmed at times). Dogs are allowed on the furniture in the house, and will have access to toys to play with.
“I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kayla and the incredible care she took with my dog, Pippa! From the first walk, I could see Kayla’s love for animals and her dedication to making each outing special and safe. Pippa, who can sometimes be a bit shy, immediately warmed up to her, and now I can see Pippa’s tail wagging with excitement as soon as Kayla arrives. Kayla’s communication is also top-notch; she kept me updated with photos, detailed notes, and little stories about their time together, which made me feel so much more at ease. I knew that Pippa was in trustworthy hands, getting plenty of exercise and affection. Kayla went above and beyond to understand Pippa’s quirks and preferences, making adjustments as needed to keep her comfortable and happy. If you’re looking for someone who will truly treat your dog with love and respect, Kayla is your person. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind she brings and the genuine connection she has with my fur baby. Highly recommend her services to any dog owner!”

I have a medium fenced yard and my husband and daughter love all animals. Although we have a newborn, we keep up work with child/pet safety.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
