“Suzanne was wonderful. It was our first time using Rover and leaving our dog Daisy for the weekend, who had a previous leg injury, so we were a little nervous. After meeting Suzanne, I knew Daisy was going to be in good hands. She was so kind and friendly and we could tell she loved being around animals. Suzanne helped with Daisy's restrictions and gave her medications twice a day. She was great with communication. She sent us pictures and updates multiple times a day, which we all loved. It was so reassuring knowing that Daisy was in good hands and we could enjoy our time away. Daisy definitely has a new buddy! I would highly recommend Suzanne and we will be using her services again in the future.”

“Alison is the best! We have 2 small dogs who are nervous around new people. It took less than 15 minutes for the dogs to warm up to her in the initial meet and greet. She watched the dogs at our house for 4 nights and did an amazing job. Her communication was excellent, with check ins and pictures a couple times a day. She kept the house clean and tidy. The dogs were snuggled and played with. We’d be happy to have her back anytime! Definitely recommend her services!!”

“Brittany was great with our babies! One of our dogs has high anxiety and she won her heart over very quickly! Both our dogs require daily medication and she was great with that. It is difficult to find someone with bird experience but she was wonderful with my green cheeked conure as well. She also left our home very tidy when she left. We will definitely reach out to her again in the future!”

“Mia did a wonderful job taking care of our dogs. She communicated well and sent pictures of our dogs. Our home was clean and everything in its place when we got home. I definitely would have her again to take care of our dogs.”

“Absolutely love Madeline. Gildi took to her the minute she walked in the door. She asked good questions about what Gildi likes and doesn’t like. Sent photos over the weekend. She is courteous and a very pleasant young lady. Wouldn’t have even known she stayed the night with Gildi as everything was as I left it. Thank you Madeline, I never worried once while I was at my family reunion. Will definitely call on her again.”

“Bre took such great care of Harley and my home while I was away this weekend. She provided great updates and photos with very prompt responses. It’s very apparent her love and knowledge of animals, especially dogs. Thank you again Bre !”

About: I’ve had experience caring for a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, chickens, and horses. I’m comfortable handling animals of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. My experience includes feeding, providing fresh water, walking dogs, cleaning up after pets, administering basic care, and giving animals plenty of attention and affection. I am reliable, patient, and attentive to each animal’s individual needs. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. My flexible job allows me gaps of time where I can tend to daily duties. I’m a college-aged student who is available to assist with your pets’ needs. My pets and those I take care of are treats really and with as much love and care as I can share. To keep things interesting, I will take my dog Rocko to new and fun locations for walks. I enjoy treating him with grooming and many treats. Rocko is like my little baby, and I am so excited to grow the number of relationships with furry companions!!

“Jessica was great!! She watched our pup again while we were out of state and sent daily updates and pics! She also leaves our home super clean, which is great when coming back from vacation. :)”

“Nick is an awesome pet sitter! He and his wife, Mary Kate, took great care of our dogs and cats during a last minute weekend stay. Helo and Lupa loved spending time outside and playing fetch with them. They sent pictures and were quick to respond to texts. We’ve booked him again for another weekend so we highly recommend him and Mary Kate!”

“This is our second time using Hannah and she was so great! We loved how she communicated with us daily on how Cash was doing and sent photos. She left our house as nice as we left it. She also started our dishwasher and washed our towels! We would highly recommend Hannah!”

“Diane was great - one of our biggest concerns is to have someone with our pups pretty much full-time, and to get on-going communication. She was great on both counts - she did need to leave briefly at one point, but let us know ahead of time, and followed our instructions for doing that, and she checked in frequently with updates, photos, and videos to let us know how they were doing! We have Diana scheduled for a short vacation sit, and feel confident that our pups will be well cared for in our absence.”

“Griffin was exceptional! This was our first time using Rover.com and he completely exceeded our expectations. Our two Bernese Mountain Dogs loved him and were comfortable with him right out of the gate! We had total peace of mind that our little gang was well taken care of while we were gone! Thank you again Griffin!”

“Autumn took excellent care of Shiloh while we were away! The minute he met her, he just wanted to play and cuddle, so I could tell Shiloh was at ease with her. Autumn went out of her way to pick up his medication and give it to him with food twice a day. We loved seeing photos of Shiloh and her dog, Charlie. Looking forward to working with Autumn and her family again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Kasson
Suzanne was absolutely wonderful! She took great care of our dog while we were away for three days, and we felt completely at ease knowing she was in such good hands. Her communication was fantastic - she regularly sent us updates about her feeding schedule, walks, and how she was doing. Suzanne has such a calm, caring disposition and is clearly very in tune with dogs. We were also impressed when we came home to a clean house, with the bed linens washed and the bed freshly made. That extra thoughtfulness was above and beyond. Most importantly, we could tell our pup had been well cared for and comfortable with Suzanne. We would absolutely use her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive, and caring dog sitter!

Emma did an amazing job caring for our pets while we were away. Communication was excellent, she followed all instructions, and she reliable and caring. We came home to happy animals and a tidy home. It’s such a relief knowing we have someone we can trust—we highly recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Kasson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Kasson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Kasson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
