About: I’ve spent the past 6–7 years caring for animals through the Kankakee County Humane Foundation, where I’ve worked with dogs and cats of all different sizes, personalities, backgrounds, and comfort levels. I also currently care for boarding pets at VCA County West Animal Hospital and have been pet sitting for several years. Saturdays I work 7:30–10 AM and 5–7:30 PM, with a large window available in between. I’m also generally available on Sundays and am happy to work with your pet’s routine whenever possible. As I grow my Rover clientele, I’d love to dedicate even more of my schedule to pet sitting and caring for your pets! 🐾 I live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood in Bradley with a fully fenced 4-foot chain-link yard. I have two dogs of my own who are incredibly sweet and friendly, but I understand that not every pet is comfortable around other animals. Introductions would always be done slowly and carefully, and I have a spare bedroom that can be set up as a cozy, quiet space for your pet if they need their own area to relax. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first. I’m happy to follow their normal feeding, potty, walking, crate, medication, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. Pets will be supervised while outside, and I’m comfortable keeping animals separated when needed based on personality or comfort level. Because of my years of shelter and animal-hospital experience, I’m used to reading body language, working with nervous or shy pets, and adjusting my approach to what makes each individual animal feel safe. About: I've helped take care of my fair share of family dogs throughout my childhood and have grown very fond of playing, caring, and overall taking care of the needs of dogs and a few senior dogs as well. I'm currently looking for any part time or Full-time pet sitting jobs available. What a blessing James/Jim has been! Not only did he step up at the last minute to meet and walk our boys, he went above and beyond when I got a call from my 91 year old mom that my big dog was freaking out and crying to go out and we were stuck on a train! We send an SOS to Jim and he flew back to the site and took Rafa out where he had diarrhea! That would have been inside our RV if not for Jim. It is the first time we have used a dog walker rather than a sitter and it worked out great. Rafa is not always friendly but he was joyful when Jim came to walk him.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
