“I highly recommend Callista for your pet care needs! From our very first meet-and-greet, we could feel her professionalism and genuine love for animals. After returning from our two-week trip, I can honestly say she exceeded all expectations. Callista’s communication throughout was outstanding—timely, thoughtful, and reassuring. Her care for our dogs was exceptional; they were happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved in our absence. We also returned to a spotless home—plants watered, bedding washed, everything just as we left it (if not better!). Callista is responsible, compassionate, and truly made being away from our pets worry-free. We would absolutely use her services again—if she’ll have us!”

About: I took puppy training classes with my dog when he was a puppy. We both learned a lot. I have pet sat for friends in the past and there was never any problems. I work full time but will be able to take good care of your pet or pets! I miss having my own fur child so this will be great for me! I will follow your instructions for how you want your pet cared for! I love walking with dogs and cuddling with all animals. I will treat them like my own!

“Ashley provided such attentive care for our girls while we were out of town. She was in touch every day with multiple pictures of the girls and updates on how they were doing. We are so grateful for Ashley!”

About: I have had pets since I was 2 years old, and growing up with them made me develop an unconditional passion. I decided to turn this love into “work”, I created a treats brand, and I also take care of the puppies as if they were my own. I have Monday and Tuesday off, so I can take care of puppies all day. My main job starts at 4 pm, from Wednesday to Sunday, so I have the morning free to play and take care of them 🥰 Tell me more about your pet, I’ll meet all their needs and I also guarantee that I’ll offer lots of affection and love. We will be best friends 🩵

About: I lived on a dairy farm growing up. Currently, I am a chicken mom of 3 silkie hens and 1 rooster. I can service the Hilo and Kona area, just reach out and let me know how I can help. I currently live in the Kurtistown and Kailua-Kona area and open to help with any kind of pet, not just dogs and cats. Currently I am a chicken mom, they are in a safe, enclosed area on the south side and will not be an issue with sitting services. My friend needed me to check on her chickens and other pets while on vacation after seeing a pig break in her coop area, and I was glad to help. I wanted to offer services to all pet lovers, including chickens as I know how to help with common issues such as sour crop, egg bounding, etc. I want to offer both, depending on where and the situation. Please let me know what your needs are. I am here to help :)

“Victoria is wonderful and her little one is such a delight! Friendly and communicative with photos and video. I felt completely comfortable leaving my bichon in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Gwyn was exceptional. We met her before booking and immediately loved her. She stayed with our cat Benny for 3 nights in our home and cared for him and our home like they were her own. Benny was so well cared for I am not sure he even missed us. We highly recommend her and would definitely use her again. Benny says Mahalo and sends his love.”

About: I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Whether your pup loves to run, hike, or just explore the neighborhood, we’re sure to be fast friends. Spending time with dogs is incredibly rewarding to me since they’re always excited to get outside and enjoy the day. I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and have spent the past five years providing trusted, informal dogsitting and walking for friends and neighbors. Whether your dog is young, old, big or small, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and right at home. If your pup has any special needs or preferences, I’m pretty accommodating so just let me know how I can help! Pet care fits easily into my week, even with a varied schedule. I always make time for the pets I care for by planning my day around their needs first. Whether it’s morning walks, afternoon playtime, or evening checkins. My flexible availability allows me to accommodate different routines, and I’m committed to making sure each pet gets the attention, exercise, and affection they deserve, no matter what the day looks like. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my top priority is creating a safe and comfortable environment that feels just like home. No matter the setting, I care for each pet as if they were my own - with patience, attention and a whole lot of love.

About: Local to Big Island for the last 6 years, based in upper palisades but willing to travel up to 25 miles. I have 10+ years of animal experience - beginning with volunteering at my local humane society and animal shelters at the age of 16, to training service dogs for children with autism for National Service Dogs and later on becoming a certified dog trainer. While completing my undergraduate degree I worked at 2 different pet stores and dog walked & dog sat for cash on weekends. I have been house/dog sitting regularly for 4+ years for two local families - one of which with 3 elderly wiener dogs and the other with two high energy samoyed puppies turned adult pups. My undergraduate degree is in Animal Biology, and my graduate degree is in Animal Behaviour & Welfare - both completed at University of Guelph in Canada where I was born. Although my specialization was in African penguins, I have lots of love for fluffier animals too. I have worked in the veterinary industry for 3+ years as a vet assistant/technician, but since moving back to Hawaii I’ve moved into the tourism industry. I am comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and have experience working with dogs of all breeds and ages. I’m currently working part time in the tourism industry, so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to accommodate Rover care needs for my clients. With plenty of experience pet sitting and house sitting, I realize that every situation is going to be slightly different — I try to match what the pets are used to first and foremost, the walks pet owners tend to take their dogs on and do activities that are already a part of the pets routine. Though I never let dogs off leash while dog sitting, even if owners usually do; the possibility of losing a pet is not something I’m comfortable with, so better safe than sorry.

“Joy was fantastic while dog/house sitting during our vacation. Our dog Max can be a challenge when meeting new people, and Joy really stepped up to the task! We could tell he was well taken care of when we returned. She kept us updated with his care with photos and messages. And when we came home our house was just as we left it. We are so happy that Joy helped us during our vacation, it made leaving our pup for 2 weeks stress free! We will definitely work with Joy next time we go away. Thank you!”

About: I have a master's degree in Primate Conservation. I have been pet-sitting (cats and dogs) since 2016. I have also been working with primates in zoos, rescue and rehabilitation centers, and zoos since 2002! I'm experiences administering meds, food, and even intramuscular injections to all sorts of animals. I've also assisted in veterinary surgeries in Africa (but I'm not a veterinarian or a vet tech -- I've just worked in a lot of different settings with animals). I teach ESL remotely during nights (my students are in China), so if I'm hired for pet sitting in your home, then I'll need wifi access. I'm also running a research project a few mornings a week. I will come to your home to provide services, such as walking, sitting, taking to play groups, or feeding. I am not able to host dogs in my home.

“Lindsay is amazing! Can't say enough. She takes amazing care of my puppy Daisy, is really responsive and easy to work with. She has also taken amazing care of my rental while I am here on a longer stay. Very responsible and trustworthy...and super thoughtful/sweet.”

About: With 15+ years of petcare, I love being able to provide a great environment for pet sitting and boarding. I’ve been a dog mom, my whole life and am extremely active - so it’s easy for me to bring pups on long walks and keep them active. My Weimaraner Moose loves new friends! I work remotely from home, so I’m available to be with doggies days and nights, take them on long walks, adventures, and hang at the house with them. I’m big believer in quality time with animals. I have a big fenced in property and yard that my dogs love. My Australian Shepherd just passed away, and now my weimaraner loves to have friends over to play and walk with.

About: Currently our landlord doesn’t allow us to have pets, so I’m trying to get my doggy fix from somewhere! Happy to help if I can! I am only available Sunday’s or part of Monday’s due to my work schedule. I work full time during the week and will not be available, as much as I would love to be. I unfortunately cannot have any dogs in my home right now but I am happy to come to you or take the elsewhere for an outing!

Marissa B.
“Excellent choice to care for your dog. Marissa’s love in life is animals. She studied animal biology at university, raised and professionally trained a guide dog for an autistic child and loves animals more than humans. She provides reliable service, excellent structure and training all with a 1000 watt smile. Truly she will love your dog! No concerns here.”

Monica S.
“Monica took care of my dog Libby for almost 5 months; taking her out for walks and to the bathroom throughout the day. Libby has a history of anxiety having come from an abusive home, which landed her in the animal shelter, so I was worried about how she would repsond to a new person. Monica has such a loving, warm, and gentle character that my dog warmed up to her immediately. I would highly recommend Monica to any dog owner.”

She grew up with dogs and has experience with all breeds and sizes, from tiny terriers to big shepherds. She’s incredibly patient, attentive, and always puts the pet’s needs first. My own dog adores her, and I’d trust Kelly with them any day. She treats every dog like her own and truly understands what it means to be a responsible and loving pet parent.”

Juhi T.
“Juhi is such a loving and caring person, I met her 9 months ago and she has been nothing but genuine and great! She LOVES animals and dogs specifically and willing to spend every minute of the day with them with no problem. She is a very responsible individual and can totally be relied on!”
