About: Hi! I’m Amanda, a local twin mom living in Hobe Sound and a lifelong animal lover. I know how hard it is to leave your pets behind when you’re traveling or working long hours. As the proud owner of two huskies and multiple rescue pets over the years, I understand that pets aren’t “just animals” they’re family. I have experience with energetic breeds, senior pets, medication routines, feeding schedules, and all the little quirks that make every pet unique. About: I’ve always taken care of animals. My responsibility growing up was caring for my 8+ horses, cows, pigs, poultry, sheep, dogs and cats. I’m very familiar with animal behavior and training. I’ve also had quite a bit of experience shadowing a veterinarian. 3 of my best friends are in veterinary school and I have 2 other friends who are currently working as veterinarians. My availability is quite good. I’m currently in medical school studying from home for my step one exam. Right now I am at home almost 24/7. My home is spacious and very dog friendly. My home has a completely fenced back yard (6ft wood panels) with room for multiple dogs to run and play.

I have a safe, fenced large yard and only take dogs on flea and tick control , non aggressive, and up to date on their shots, for the safety of my dog and others I care for. I require a meet and greet, to get to know your dog and for your personal assurance that I am the sitter for your needs. I also can accomodate dogs with special needs and other pets. A nightly stay is a 24 hour period, late pickups over an hour will incur a day fee for that day. This is so i can stay on a schedule for other appointments. We exchanged a lot of good information about our pets' histories and allowed for a patient introduction. By the time we left, Peanut and her dog Griffin were comfortable enough with each other that we were all totally at peace leaving Peanut there for the day on Saturday. Peanut ended up having a wonderful time, getting lots of exercise and affection. Kyle sent plenty of photos and reassured us that everything was going well.
