“I got very lucky choosing Riley. Riley and I arranged a meet up to meet with me and my 11 cats. We went over the feeding and litter instructions prior to my trip. She got it the first time around. I didn't have to repeat myself. We also went over safety issues regarding the keys and gate and keeping the pets safe. She is reliable, trustworthy, pleasant and sweet and it was a pleasure getting to know her, she truly loves and cares for animals. She also texted me when she checked in and out of the house. She also sent me pictures of my cats. When I got home, it was like I never left. She did an excellent job feeding and cleaning the litter boxes and making sure cats were fine. This is the first time I used her as a pet sitter on Rover, and it was so stress-free. She is someone I definitely will use again in the future to take care of my pets. ❤️”

“We were so happy with our pet sitter and would absolutely recommend her! She took wonderful care of our cats while we were away and sent photos with every visit, along with updates to let us know how they were doing. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for. When we returned home, everything was in great shape, and their litter area had been cleaned thoroughly. She was dependable, attentive, and clearly took great care of them. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I have owned pets of all kinds my entire life. I love dogs and cats having owned many dogs/cats big and small, and also working in a doggie daycare/boarding facility for 8 years where I spent 5 of those years as the manager. I took care of hundreds of dogs/cats and I loved each of them as my own. I had great relationships with my customers and their pets and regularly did walks and pet sits of all kinds outside of regular working hours. Currently live on a farm with my dog & cat also taking care of chickens, pigs, goats, etc. Just a lover of all animals and dedicated to making them happy. I recently moved from New Jersey to Georgia. I spent all of my time there working with animals from my job managing a dog daycare to doing walks and pet sits after hours. I would love to take my skills and use them to make more animals happy and help others out with their animal needs. I have no problem with any tasks needed to take care of your pets from difficult to walk dogs/high energy dogs/shy animals to providing medications or feeding of any kind.

About: I’ve been around and caring for dogs for more than 20 years. My love and experience with dogs started at home—my dad was a dog trainer who worked with his own dogs as well as dogs belonging to friends and family. Growing up around that experience taught me how to understand canine behavior, respect each dog’s individual personality, and provide patient, attentive care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, and I especially love being outdoors. Hiking, nature trails, and exploring the outdoors are some of my favorite things to do, so when appropriate, I love taking the dogs in my care along for an enjoyable walk or adventure. I believe dogs benefit from both physical exercise and mental stimulation, and I always want their time with me to be safe, positive, and enjoyable. Pet care fits well into my schedule, and I’m available Sunday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST. I enjoy having a flexible schedule that allows me to give each pet plenty of attention, exercise, companionship, and personalized care. I provide pet care at the owner’s home through dog walks and drop-in visits. Check-ins can include potty breaks, feeding, fresh water, playtime, and companionship. I am not currently offering overnight stays, boarding, or pet sitting in my home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
