“Melanie was awesome! My dogs loved her and I knew they were being well cared for by her! She is also quick to respond and was willing to work around my schedule! Def gonna use her again!”

“Alex was great! She gave updates on how her interaction with my cattos went. She also went above and beyond when l asked if she could return to my home to turn the heat on after her visit had ended meant everything. 🥹 Very quick responses and cared for my cattos as if they were hers. Thank you!”

“Ansley is a knowledgeable, communicative and attentive caretaker and went above and beyond to be flexible when I had to leave my 8-week-old puppy to go to an appointment. She gave me peace of mind and some sweet puppy photos. So thankful!”

“Alexis is amazing. She is incredibly flexible and understanding. As a veterinarian, I have a demanding job with long days. I’ve had to shift my schedule last minute due to patients, and Alexis has been there for us to make sure my pets are taken care of. I cannot thank her enough!”

“First time booking with Rover so was a little nervous about the whole thing but Madison did an amazing job! Really love the updates and pictures each time she came!!! Will definitely be booking with her again in the future 😊”

“LeeAnna was a Godsend for our family as we just moved to the area 8 days before our scheduled vacation. She was quick to respond to our request. She came over to meet us and our pups before our vacation. She went above and beyond taking care of our pups, and sent pictures and updates at each drop in visit. Her sweet boys also came along to love on our pups which was great since they are used to having our kids around. She even brought our trash out and checked our mail for us. Knowing that LeeAnna was checking in twice a day gave us so much peace of mind. She even gave us weather updates and went back to let our pups inside on stormy days. We cannot say enough about how wonderful LeeAnna was. We will definitely book with her again for future vacations!!”

“Bernajah it's great! She provided a lot of updates and photos while taking care of my puppy. She is really sweet and very thoughtful! We will continue to work with her and we highly recommend her.”

About: I have grown up taking care of numerous animals, including inside dogs and hunting dogs, bearded dragons, fish, cats, birds, etc. I also frequently pet sit for friends and family when needed, and have been doing so for years! ❤️ I am currently working part time, usually from 4:30-9:30 throughout the week and on Saturdays (besides Mondays). I am also in school at CSU, but classes are over for the Summer 😊 I have a fenced in backyard with a lot of room to run and play as well as a friendly poodle to keep your babies company (they can be easily separated if needed) !! At clients homes, it varies depending on the client’s request. However, I do love going outside with the dogs as well as being cuddled up watching tv with them☺️
“Maria was amazing. We found her last minute and we’re so happy we did. She’s newer to Rover but definitely has experience with animals. We thought she was so professional and sent the most amazing updates!”

About: Hi! My name is Whitley and I have been pet sitting since I was in high school. Now at nearly 25, I still have a profound love for pets big or small. I have a feisty senior Australian Shepherd with medical issues and two cats. I know how difficult leaving your pet behind can be. Rest assured that when you leave your fur baby with me, they receive the utmost care and are treated like my own. I am currently a part-time student and have a small job working at daycares in the community. With that being said, I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I try to be available for any last minute bookings, including weekends. Due to my senior dog's medical issues, I unfortunately cannot house sit at this time. However, I am available most hours of the day. I care for every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, fresh water, potty breaks or litter box cleaning, and playtime. I provide plenty of love for your pet, and if your pet is shy, plenty of space. With my high energy australian shepherd, I have become accustomed to long play sessions indoors and outdoors. I provide photo updates and communicate regularly.

I’m also experienced with cats through informal care of outdoor/community cats. I’m known to be attentive & reliable, and I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, and daily routines. I’m currently working full-time, (9-4:30 Mon-Fri), but I have availability from 6-8:30am & 5-11:30pm Mon-Fri, and 5am-11:30pm on the weekends. I listen to every pet parent, noting down important information that’ll help me provide the best care to their pets. I ensure that the environment is clean and safe to roam, food is provided correctly, and that the pet is given enough love and attention.

About: I’ve cared for pets personally for years and understand the importance of routines, exercise, attention, and patience. I’m reliable and focused on making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while owners are away. I’m very flexible during the week/weekend and respond quickly! When pet sitting in homes, I carefully follow all instructions, keep pets on their normal routines, and make sure the home is secure before leaving. For cat check-ins, I provide food, fresh water, litter box cleaning, and calm attention based on each cat’s comfort level. I always respect each pet’s personality and boundaries and aim to keep them safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
