It felt like a great fit and our dog had a great weekend playing with her dogs and a couple other boarding dogs. I also appreciated the flexibility in coordinating drop off and pick up times. Kennels tend to have very restrictive hours for that and we didn’t want to have our dog stay an extra night away from us if it wasn’t necessary. While we were able to be there by 5pm she was flexible.”

“Mary Grace was a godsend to our family. Our beloved and notoriously mischievous 11 year old /70lb shepherd mix is prone to stress and can’t be comfortably boarded in a facility. He is also getting older, so he struggles with separation anxiety and requires frequent walks and intellectual stimulation. Mary Grace was a perfect fit. She is extremely competent and conscientious. She met both Ranger’s needs as a full time companion (walks, feeding, engaging) and my needs as a concerned parent (pictures, updates, etc). About: Wasn't allowed to have pets when I was young but as soon as I could, I treat them like I want to be treated because fur babies are an extension of the people that raise them I'm currently retired/disabled Army, I have nothing but time to be of service to service animals and non service animals. So when last minute stuff happens I'm the go-to for friends and family I have a fenced in yard and a screened off patio and can cage your pet or room them if potty trained or even let them sleep in the same space as me if they need constant human interaction. I have 2 dogs they can react to or be kept separate from in the house between the fenced yard and screened off patio. The garage is also screened off so the doors can be left open for more space and ventilation. It's a 2 floor home so if your pet doesn't play well with others, they'll never have to meet. Everyone that lives in the home shares 2 or more decades of pet care experience or are Army medics with experience in emergency medicine.

I have experience with a variety of animals, including dogs and cats, horses and livestock, rodents and reptiles, and everything from basic grooming including nail trims and baths to basic behavior training. (See safety section for further details) I have experience with basic first aid. I have pretty much free and short notice availability, thought I limit bookings on WEDNESDAYS and SUNDAYS as my days off. I have a whole zoo worth of pets and need to stop by my own house throughout the day, so any house sitting will be based on regular visits. I have reliable transportation and excellent driving skills in case of needing to transport. My vehicle has a crash tested seat belt and I have a few crash tested harnesses if you do not have one, though providing your own sized for your dog is preferred. I will not provide transport for animals other than cats or dogs and cats and small dogs must be tolerant of being crated for the ride. I am great at working with your schedule with at least 2 hours notice, but Rover does not allow easy schedule changes. If you need to reduce your visits, CANCEL the booking and REBOOK with your new dates, as once Rover confirms your booking it won’t let you reduce the current rate. In your home, I offer basic cleaning services and can ensure any messes get cleaned. I can meet many varied needs and am meticulous with following your house rules for your pets. I do not offer boarding or allow client pets at my home. I will not provide food or other consumables, though I will confirm what treats your pets can have because all good pets deserve treats. I provide basic behavior assistance such as teaching your dog that jumping on people is inappropriate, basic tricks (sit, down, paw), leash manners, but I DO NOT OFFER PAID TRAINING. I am not a certified trainer in any capacity, though I have trained many of my own animals (including rats and cats!)

On Thursday and Friday only I’m available after 5:30pm (due to me having a full time job from home). Saturday and Sunday I’m available all day 🙂 For any Drop-In visits or Walks I do require a complementary meet and greet before booking to ensure your pet is comfortable with me and their “home space” ❤️ Your pet’s comfort and safety always come first in your home. I take time to learn your pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs before each visit. I follow feeding, walking, and medication instructions exactly as given, and always make sure your pet has fresh water and a clean, calm environment. I respect your space—leaving your home just as I found it—and keep doors locked, alarms set, and your pet safely indoors or secured outside as requested. I’m gentle, patient, and attentive to body language, especially with shy or anxious pets. You’ll receive regular updates and photos for peace of mind while you’re away.
About: Wasn't allowed to have pets when I was young but as soon as I could, I treat them like I want to be treated because fur babies are an extension of the people that raise them I'm currently retired/disabled Army, I have nothing but time to be of service to service animals and non service animals. So when last minute stuff happens I'm the go-to for friends and family I have a fenced in yard and a screened off patio and can cage your pet or room them if potty trained or even let them sleep in the same space as me if they need constant human interaction. I have 2 dogs they can react to or be kept separate from in the house between the fenced yard and screened off patio. The garage is also screened off so the doors can be left open for more space and ventilation. It's a 2 floor home so if your pet doesn't play well with others, they'll never have to meet. Everyone that lives in the home shares 2 or more decades of pet care experience or are Army medics with experience in emergency medicine.

Cats with attitude don’t scare me—my baby at home is a tortieshell.😂 I’m used to all dogs, from pitties to chihuahuas, and I’d love to meet yours. I usually have work from 9 to 5 everyday except for Sunday and Monday. I can be there in the morning and in the evening. I’m open to anything you need done to keep your baby happy. Feeding, cleaning up, keeping company, etc. I know sometimes they just get lonely while we’re away, and so if you need me to spend a couple extra minutes playing fetch or giving cuddles, it’s no strain on me.

Kennels tend to have very restrictive hours for that and we didn’t want to have our dog stay an extra night away from us if it wasn’t necessary. “Mary Grace was a godsend to our family. Our beloved and notoriously mischievous 11 year old /70lb shepherd mix is prone to stress and can’t be comfortably boarded in a facility. He is also getting older, so he struggles with separation anxiety and requires frequent walks and intellectual stimulation. Mary Grace was a perfect fit. She is extremely competent and conscientious. She met both Ranger’s needs as a full time companion (walks, feeding, engaging) and my needs as a concerned parent (pictures, updates, etc). It’s the first time we’ve traveled in years that I was not constantly worried about Ranger. I would not hesitate to book with her again or to recommend her to others. She is amazing and I’m so grateful for how well she cared for our boy.”
