“This was our first time hiring a pet sitter in years and the first time our senior kitty had been left alone. Brittany responds very quickly to messages and took great care of our cat. We appreciated all the updates on her care and all the cute pictures.”

About: Hi! My name is Kayla, I’m 18, and I have been around animals all my life. I have two dogs of my own, a 5 yo pug and a 13 yo lab mix, so I am well experienced with all different energy levels. I have plenty of experience pet sitting in my neighborhood, with dogs and cats. I even kept an Australian Bearded Dragon in my room for a summer! I will be working full time in the summer and from Dec 19-Jan 20th, but if needed I can be flexible with taking time off of work or during the rest of year, I am a full time college student so weekends work best but can be flexible, free most evenings, midday, etc. I fully intend to follow any and all instructions given by the client as I know every dog has its own unique way of going about things. I plan to check on pets as often as possible, and provide them with plenty of care and attention. My visits to your house to check on your pet will not just be brief water bowl checks and outside time, but more so spending time with your pet and giving them the love they deserve.
About: My family has had dogs for over 30 years. The sizes range from Chihuahua to Collie and I have been around dogs as big as Great Danes. I’ve always offered to watch my family and friend's dogs. I would love to have more than 2 dogs so that’s why a service like Rover is perfect for me!! Starting Nov 10th I will be working hybrid. My in office days will be Tuesday-Wednesday. I would ❤️ to do this full time however I don’t have enough weekly clients to do that. I do spend my weekends either in Pearson, WI during camping season or the UP of Michigan by my dad. I would be more than happy to bring your dog(s) with if you approve. I live in a very quiet and peaceful neighbor. If your dog needs to be crated I have many different size crates to accommodate. My yard is finally fenced in, my dream finally came true! Inside I have a full basket of toys for them to play with and am working on getting more outside toys.
About: As a 19-year-old sitter, I offer compassionate senior pet care and puppy training experience, ensuring patience, energy, and dedication to keep your pets happy and healthy. Pet care is a joyful part of my daily routine, giving me purpose, structure, and happiness. I love making time for walks, play, and cuddles! I care for pets by following their feeding and exercise routines, providing fresh water, administering medication if needed, offering lots of love, and keeping their environment clean and safe.

Whether in my home or yours, I care for pets by making them my top priority and keeping their routine exactly the same. In my home, I provide a calm, hazard-free environment with constant supervision. When sitting at a client's home, I strictly follow all house rules, secure all doors, and keep your pet safe on a leash during walks. I prevent stress by giving them plenty of one-on-one attention, cozy snuggles, and dedicated care so you always know they are in good hands.

I am available for morning (before 7am) and evening (5pm and later) care Monday - Friday. Saturday and Sunday able to stop more frequently or stop most times of the day. About: I have raised my own pup since she was 8 weeks old. My heart and passion explode as I allow all of my energy to go towards loving and treating your pup with the care and respect they deserve. Young puppies to senior dogs, I will match the energy they desire. If you have a sick pup, I will be there to care for them and administer any meds they may need. Please reach out with any questions. I look forward to working with you and you pup, soon! I am available at almost any time you need. Just ask and I can make it work! Looking forward to playing with your pup and creating that special bond. I am happy to go visit your own home to ensure your pup stays happy and comfortable in their own environment. Fenced yards are a plus!
About: I’ve volunteered at animal shelters and taken care of my 2 beautiful pitbulls while growing up and have 2 cats with my own family now. I absolutely love playing with any animal and I’d love the opportunity to meet new feline friends! I’m currently a stay at home mother so I’m free all the time. I can come to your home and walk your dog or watch your cat when needed, whether it’s a 1 time thing or weekly! I have 2 inside cats named Poco and Zuzi. They are brother and sister from the same litter and when they aren’t playing together, I run around the house with them and throw their toys around.
About: I am responsible, kind and would be extremely protective of your fur-babies while I am with them. It is no problem for me to clean up messes, litter boxes or help with some medications. Play, exercise, feed or cuddle…your furbabies will be well taken care of. I bring with me lots of love and have been trained for many, many years with martial arts of various kinds, including MMA, and a previous competitive deadlifter- so your pet is safe with me for walks and the like. I can drop-in, walk, or just pet-sit! Thank you! Please call on me when needed, and I look forward to meeting you and your fur-babies! I cannot be around cigarette, vape or marijuana smoke, so I am not available for homes where this has been, but, could still take your dog for a walk if I am only outside. I offer in your home pet services-(cat or dog- birds, and reptiles, too!) or dog walking. I can also come and clean your yard for a visit fee. :)

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
