About: I have helped rescue dogs and cats for years. I currently have 3 rescues that keep my life interesting. I look forward to caring for your fur babies as I would my own! I am retired so I have the flexibility to care for your babies on the schedule that works best for you. When you are away they deserve to have grandpa come to visit. I currently have my 3 rescue pups I promise to care for yours as if they were my own. I believe in lots of pictures as well. I have three rescues that are wonderful loving dogs but having more stay at my home is not an option at the time. That being said I am retired so I am very flexible in coming to your home for drop in visits, dog walking and possibly staying in your home to take care of your fur babies. I am a retired CEO of a local non-profit so I can be trusted to respect your home and pets.
About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I currently have 3 dogs of my own, so caring for pets is part of my everyday life — from walks and playtime to feeding routines, cuddles, and making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I grew up with dogs my whole life, which taught me how important patience, consistency, and attention are when caring for pets. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I always make it a priority to help them feel at home and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup is energetic and playful or prefers relaxing and snuggling, I’m happy to match their routine and give them plenty of attention. I’m comfortable with multiple dogs, different breeds, and administering basic care instructions. Outside of pet care, I work in healthcare and understand the importance of responsibility, communication, and providing compassionate care. Your pet will be treated like family with me, and I’ll make sure you receive updates and photos so you can feel confident they’re in good hands! My schedule is flexible outside of my regular work hours. I work Tuesday through Friday from 8 to 5pm but I am available Mondays and weekends for pet care. I have a large fenced-in yard where dogs can safely run, play, and get plenty of exercise while always being supervised. In my home, pets are treated like family and will have a clean, comfortable, and calm environment to help them feel at ease.
“This was my first river experience ever and I gotta say that I was very pleased!! She gave daily updates with notes and pictures. Definitely made the time away from my little girl less stressful! Highly recommend”

About: I currently have a German Shepherd/ Husky named Echo and a cat named Stella at home. I have always grown up with animals and taken care of dogs, cats, and even snakes. I work remote so I can work anywhere which makes my schedule pretty open. I usually work Monday through Friday 8 hours a day, normally 11:30 to 8pm. For my own pets I take my dog to the park, dog park, the creek, and anywhere that I can really. I am okay with walking the dogs, playing with the dogs, staying with them if needed, changing litter, and taking care of them like they are my own.
“Chloe took such good care of my crazy energetic dog. With every note, picture, and video I had a calm mind knowing my dog was in good care. I will be booking Chloe again in the future, and I would recommend anyone to book her!”

About: I'm Steve and I have my own very well behaved 5 year old chocolate lab named Beanie. We have a welcoming home for you and your pets. I'm pretty flexible at the moment. I can come to your house for walks or feedings but cannot stay the night. Me and my mom are both home alot so we can keep an eye on and take very good care of your pets. I have a fenced yard, pet door to the back yard, a sweet chocolate lab, a helpful mother and a good neighborhood. Let's see if we're a good fit!
“It was such a wonderful feeling my family and I had, being able to leave on vacation knowing that our Queenie will be well took care of and loved on while we were gone. Paula arranged a Meet and Greet before we left. Queenie had a new friend from that moment on. The pictures and time Paula took with her was just so refreshing. We would love to continue to use her for Queenie in the future. I have told Ms Paula thank you over and over, but can't say it enough for being awesome.”

About: I have taken care of pets since I was 9. I have raised several dogs from puppies to senior dogs. I am very well versed in potty training, bathing, and responsible play. For many years I have bathed and walked dogs for my family and friends in addition to taking care of my own. I absolutely love animals and look forward to giving yours all the love and attention it needs! I am a stay at home mom whose kids are all in school now. So that means I have a lot of free time for your pets! I currently have a dog who does not like other dogs, so staying at my house is unfortunately not an option. I do however love getting to visit other pets and thoroughly enjoy taking long walks with them or having a play session with them.
About: I work at a vet hospital and I have for 5years, I’ve owned many pets previously. I know how to give medicine properly and tell when something is off! I work full time! I’m completely free on weekends and most weekdays after 3pm! I can make adjustments for you if you give me enough notice! I live in an apartment with 2 cats, with plenty of space and walk and play so there will be no shortage of play time!! However at your home I would treat them as my own! Playtime, walks, and even cuddles if they want! I love all kinds of pets and I can make everything go smoothly!

Mackenzie was great and my kitties loved her! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
