I got you cover. Look forward to meeting your fury (or furless) friend! I have a wonderful, lively six-year-old chocolate lab named Astro. I understand the importance of keeping pets happy and well-fed, and they’re the first and last things I check on before bed. I always make sure they have everything they need, along with plenty of head scratches and ear rubs. I love all animals deeply and recognize how crucial it is to find someone who will care for your pet just as you do. How would you like me to take care of your pet? I will always take them out to do there business, check there food and water and of course show them love. If you have extra things needed please feel free to let me know and I’ll do my best to keep your routine intact.

About: I have been around all kinds of animals my whole life. From rabbits, guinea pigs, hermit crabs, fish, a squirrel, dogs, and/or cats. I currently have a 2 year old high energy husky who loves to keep us on a schedule for his park visits and walks. I love all animals- all shapes and sizes- and would love to help you get your pup out for exercise and potty breaks or even visits in the home if you have a cat or caged animal that needs tending to while you work or travel! I work 12 hour shifts Saturday Sunday and Mondays so I am not available on those days. I am available anytime Tuesdays through Friday however. I have a 2 year old husky who keeps us on a very regimented routine. Once we have taken our kids to school he is ready for his daily trip to the local dog park in hopes we catch his doggy friends, where we spend at minimum an hour and by 3pm he is ready for his evening walk to burn up some of his energy!

About: Though I'm new to Rover, I've been pet-sitting for neighbors and friends for 10+ years! I've taken care of dogs, cats, llamas, goats, and more. I've lived my whole life with dogs and cats of all ages, so I'm familiar with puppy/kitten and senior care. I know how to give medications including oral, topical, and injectable. I love animals and I promise to give your pets the same love and compassionate care I give my own! I'm currently working part time, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I may be able to accommodate some last-minute requests, especially for drop-ins or dog walking. I live in Greene County, but I commute to Harrisonburg when I'm working so I can potentially take bookings around that area as well. PLEASE NOTE: I cannot hold dates for a pending request indefinitely. If your intention is to book with me, please confirm the booking as soon as you can so I can update my availability accordingly both on Rover and with my other job. Prompt communication is greatly appreciated! I believe it's most ideal for your pet if they can stay in their home environment and keep to their usual routine while you're away. If your dog likes to visit a certain tree on all their walks, or your cat gets a treat at a specific time each day, let me know! Please also share any quirks, anxieties, medical problems, or anything else special about your pet so I can cater to their individual needs.

About: Since I’ve been living on my own, I’ve had 3 dogs. Three Golden Retrievers over the last 30+ years. They are the best animals and I will take care of your dog as if it was my own. I can take care of animals Friday nights and all day Saturday and Sunday. I am available to stay over to watch animals on Friday and Saturday nights. I can come by houses to walk dogs or feed animals anytime after 5:30 during the week from Monday to Friday. I will come to your house and walk dogs, feed animals, and even clean litter boxes if needed during the work week. On Friday and Saturday nights, I can stay over.

About: I have cared for animals since I was little. We have had all kinds of pets from (hamsters, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, and cats). My 12 year old daughter loves animals and has worked over the years with dog sitting for hours at their house and walking the dogs in our neighborhood. I am a teacher. I am off during the summer and we are home every day. Even if I am not here for a few hours, I have two responsible tweens that are very capable of loving and caring for your pet. We live in a duplex with a mid size back yard. It is not fenced in, but I can put them on a long leash if needed for running. We also have a mile long road that makes a circle of our neighborhood. Even though our subdivision is under construction, we will have a pond and a play area for our dogs to play. We also are able to crate if needed. We have a small dog of our own that would love company and we have a guinea pig that stays in the living room in a fenced in area (which we can put in a cage in a bedroom if needed). Our dog is not crated and is allowed on the furniture and sleeps in our beds.

About: I have grown up around animals but also have watched others animals since I was at least 12. I work at an equestrian barn and primarily petsit dogs and cats. I greatly enjoy my time with the animals. Ask for more details! Petsitting fits into my weekly routine so well! Whether it’s popping in for a walk or feed time, boarding, etc., I am dedicated. I have a lot of free time in the summer and during the school year (I’m a teacher), I also find time before and after school to recharge and take care of animals. In my home, I make sure the client and pet are comfortable with the arrangement and altar anything needed within reason. In a client’s home, I will provide care as requested specifically. This will vary, depending on the service.

About: Energetic, up and coming dog trainer! I studied for two years at a shop with a dog nutritionist, have apprenticed with a dog trainer for the past year, and just completed a six month program with Highland Canine Dog Training in North Carolina. My love for dogs really started upon volunteering to walk dogs at my local animal shelter and continued to helping with my reactive family pup become her best confident self. I love working with any and all pets including but not limited to puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, anxious pets, cats and even small animals including rats. Any help I can offer with your pet I am here for it! I work part time throughout the week but I officially started my dog training business Howl to Heel LLC and that is my main priority! I will do anything to work in my pet parents into my schedule and offer all assistance needed! I have my dogs fully vaccinated, crate trained and constantly active with new training goals. I have experience working with all different dog breeds and ages. I have taken courses in dog body language to help navigate communication with our furry friends to know when a little help is needed. I always check in with owners in food restrictions and keep a close eye on every pet I watch to keep everybody out of harms way!

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life and have taken care of relatives and friends dogs for years. I’ve helped my parents raise their dog from little to her seniorhood. About: As a true animal lover who misses her pets while away at school, I’m excited to offer hands-on care for a wide range of animal companions. I’ve raised cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens, and I also work closely with the animal lab at the Science Museum of Virginia in my hometown of Richmond. There, I care for reptiles, amphibians, fish, and even arachnids, giving me both the compassion and confidence to care for exotic pets of all kinds. I’m a full time student at JMU, with classes M-Th, I am offering all day/as needed care on weekends starting Friday after 1pm. I am open to drop-ins and walks after 6pm weekdays, except Tuesday. About: I’ve been pet sitting for family, friends, and strangers since I was a freshman in high school. No matter the job and tasks required I’ve always been reliable in getting things done! I’m currently in graduate school to become an athletic trainer, so a full-time job doesn’t fit well with my class schedules. I would very much like to fit in some work or pet care between my classes and clinical experience! I’m a quick learner when it comes to new locations, different types of leashes, crates, etc. I’m willing to travel almost anywhere near me and have no problem making several visits a day or staying at the home to care for pets.
