Couldn't have played out any better! We will definitely be asking Desi back. She's the best Sioux City Pet Sitter anyone could ask for. Plus, she's a great communicator. Desi sent us photos right away and we could tell our dogs instantly loved her!

Joan has been a life saver. We are going through some hard times here and needed our 14 month old fur baby Serena walked daily while we were out of the area. She was flexible with what we needed and understanding. Responds quickly to messages. Knowing Serena was in good hands took a lot off my mind.

About: I’ve had dogs of my own since I was around 7 years old and have been responsible for their care. Most recently, I worked as a receptionist for our local animal hospital, so I have a good knowledge of how to care for basic injury and illness. I also am a puppy foster for the local adoption center. I have several months of experience working at the Humane Society, so I have a good background of feeding routines, cleaning crates, and especially walking dogs, even ones that present challenges on leash. I’m currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I’m available most days of the week and occasional weekends during the day for dog walks, dog visits, and overnight stays. I will ensure the best quality of care for your pet and your home, leaving it in better condition than I found it. I will make sure the dog is safe in the house from things it could get into and from ways it could get out.

About: For the last 10 or so years I have been taking care of peoples pets. Most recently I was living in Jackson, WY and was able to consistently get more and more pet sitting gigs that lasted anywhere from 3 to 11 nights. If housesitting I'm always happy to toss some dishes in the washer, or vacuum so that when you get home, things are nice and tidy. I also have a pressure washer and all the equipment needed to bring a car wash to you while you are out. I work in the 5 points neighborhood. I can fit a walk in before and after my evening shift. I also have a Suburban so I can transport them if need be. Just making sure doors are locked and I know where the pet is at all times. This also goes for mandatory leashing. I just want to make sure there are no problems, especially in a urban environment like Denver.

About: I have been around dogs in my neighborhood since I was little. I have pet-sitted for friends and neighbors for many years. I am happy to take dogs out on long walks around Jackson and come take care of pets and look over houses while you’re away on vacation! I work Wednesday-Saturday, so I have evenings and long weekends free to spend time taking care of pets and walking dogs. I love being outdoors just as much as they do and love to go on walks! Caring for pets in their own home is extremely important. I will make sure to keep up with their normal daily routine and follow all guidelines you provide when watching them so they feel comfortable.

About: I have a flexible schedule so feel free to message me with what you need! I just started this account so I don't have any reviews yet, but rest assured, your animal will have great care when you call me! I have cared for friend's, and friends of friend's animals often. I treat other's animals as I would my own with love and respect. I am a flight school student which means I am at home studying often. I have a flexible schedule. Getting outside for a walk is also great for me so I would love to bring your pet out with me. This also means I can house sit and keep them company. Whatever you want for your furry friends, just let me know! I am attentive to your animal's needs. If they need a longer walk or more play, I got you. If it's an older animal just needing bathroom breaks or short walks, you name it. I like to send a photo of the animal I'm with to the owner to let them know I am with them. Here to make sure your pet feels loved while you're at work or out of town.

About: Grew up taking care of dogs such as Collies, German Shepherds, and Huskies. Had cats growing up intermittently. Very comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Experience with cats and multi-pet households. Calm, patient, and observant. Reliable winter transportation. Respectful of homes and property. I treat pet sitting as a responsibility, not a side favor. You’ll receive updates, photos, and prompt communication while you’re away. I am currently working on the mountain and available on work days after 5pm. Days when I'm not working, I can drop in and walk, feed, or spend time with your fur babies. I provide pet care only in clients’ homes and do not offer boarding. I follow each pet’s normal routine and all care instructions provided by the owner, including feeding, walks, and medications if needed. Pets are kept secure at all times, and I do not introduce unfamiliar people or animals. I maintain a clean, calm environment, respect clients’ homes and privacy, and provide regular updates so owners know their pets are safe and well cared for.

About: Current full-time veterinary technician here in Jackson! I’ve been a vet tech for 7 years, with about 6 of those years working in an ER/ICU setting. I’m comfortable caring for dogs and cats with all kinds of medical needs, including administering oral medications, injections, subcutaneous fluids, and other treatments. Whether your pet needs medication, a quick potty break, a walk, or simply some extra love and attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help! My goal is to make sure you and your pet feel comfortable and confident while you’re apart. 🐾 I work full time as a vet tech. I work four 10 hour shifts a week. I’d be available after my shifts or on any of my 3 days off which is always Sundays. Most Saturdays and one week day that rotates weekly. I always want pets to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible in their own home. I follow each pet’s routine and your specific instructions closely, including feeding, medications, walks, playtime, and any special care they may need. I’ll give them plenty of attention and companionship while you’re away, while also respecting their individual personality and boundaries. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for. As a veterinary technician, I’m also comfortable recognizing changes in behavior or health and knowing when something may need additional attention. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own! 🐾

About: As a dedicated pet lover with years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, I understand the importance of providing a safe, fun, and loving environment for your companion. I've walked, fed, and played with countless pups, ensuring they get the exercise and attention they need. My goal is to make each walk an adventure while keeping your pet happy and healthy. You can trust that your dog will receive the best care and lots of love while in my hands! I currently work & live here in downtown Jackson, WY. I’ve been here for over 2 years so I know the area well & am able to get around to pretty much any nearby areas to care for your furry friend! I work overnights as a Night Auditor/Manager so my availability for daytime/evening is super flexible. It also gives me a chance to get outdoors during the day so I really enjoy getting outside for walks! To create a trusting environment for a pet while their owner is away, I make sure to stick to their routine as much as possible—feed them at the same times, take them for walks, and keep their playtime consistent. I spend quality time with them to build a bond, and provide a safe space where they can relax. Lastly, I am patient and attentive to their needs to help them feel comfortable and secure! As of September 2026, there are 154 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Jackson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Jackson stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jackson. On Rover:

  • 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
