“Maggie our Golden Doodle had a great time with Christine. We were passing through KC and wanted to go to a baseball game but needed a place for Maggie. Christine was able accommodate a few hours at the last minute. We all had a great day!”

“Our dogs clearly had a great time with Ron, Cooper, and another doggie guest. Ron made the entire process effortless by responding quickly and courteously to every email. He was flexible with our schedule and our pups were warmly welcomed. When we returned, they were excited to see us, but were relaxed, calm, and happy. We were in town for a family funeral, a stressful and exhausting event. Ron's professional and caring attention to our goofy pups truly made the day far less worrisome. We definitely hope to book with him again.”

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of him. He loves hanging out with you. It's funny because we will tell him where he's going in the morning and he gets so excited!”

About: I have fostered over 30 dogs for various shelters and have had my share of pets while doing so. I have been in other people's homes while watching their fur children trying to be there and working on training using games like fetch, or find it. I currently work at a doggy daycare and am currently doing online courses for canine behavior and training. I do have three years on my own with dog training and a total of 9 years dog training with shelters I try not disrupt their schedule while pet parents are gone. Dogs need a routine but when parents go on vacation or business trip, they will need a loving distraction until they get home

“Rachel was awesome! She answered my request fast, and accommodated watching my dog on very short notice. She sent me pictures right away, was communicative and super sweet. Will definitely be using her again!”

“So glad to have met Ramon, and his dog, Dante. He took fantastic care of my dog, and even took him for a walk! After work, I brought a happy and tired dog home! I already have other dates booked. Thanks again, Ramon.”

“Allison was fantastic! Ozzie adored her and her dog, and by the third day when I told him he was going to see her he got excited. She kept me updated with lots of photos and was also very understanding of my shifting drop-off and pick-up hours due to the nature of the daytime event I was working. I will definitely be sending Ozzie to stay with her again in the future, and would recommend her to anyone.”

“Great pet sitter!! 100% recommended!!”

“Thanks again Ellie. Buddy has separation anxiety bad and gets so worked up & panicked if I leave him alone. But totally calm if he has company. Glad to see him normal and calm acting when I leave him with you. It's a relief to know he's got good company. Thanks for your kindness and good care.”

“If my dog ran away from home the 1st place I'd look would be Jacob's house. My dog loves this guy! He's a great sitter, easy to work with and very flexible”

About: I am a trainer with 25 years of working with dogs of all types, including shelter dogs. I currently assist the behavior team and foster department at KC Pet Project. I mostly work from home and I will take your pup for a nice long walk every day on a different trail or to a different lake or conservation area etc. I do not usually accept new clients but a few have sadly passed away. I have a regular extended pack of dogs that I have been watching for years, as needed. I don’t do daycare unless one of my clients needs it. I do have a dog-friendly home with a fenced yard and 20+ trees (lots of squirrels) and no children present or visiting. I have a dog and I may also have a foster or they may be another visiting member of the pack so please check with me if your dog is not dog tolerant. I work from home part-time and my schedule is my own and it basically centers around the dogs. Taking dogs for an adventure is always my first priority every day. I fit errands in around their nap schedule I am very aware of safety and I keep my eyes on the dog/s. They are always with me. I have a fenced back yard and if I have to run an errand and they can’t come with me, I leave them in my dog friendly living room that can be closed off. They can also be crated if preferred.

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats for my entire life and have taken care of them often. I am happy to accommodate any special needs as well! My schedule at my job is not always super consistent but I will make sure my calendar stays up to date with the days I’m available! All pets are welcome in my home, and I am more than happy to come to yours as well! I will make sure they get all the loving and attention they need!

“Willow and her family were very caring, and took great care of our two babies. Her home is conveniently located in New Haven, and has a wonderful fenced in backyard! She sent me some really adorable pictures, and I know the dogs were in good hands. It is such a great alternative to traditional boarding! We definitely will be contacting her again when we need sitter. :)”

“What a fantastic place to leave my Teddy. Teddy has a lot of anxiety in new places and can be a little handful for people who he’s never met, but I can’t compliment Carmen and Katie enough. They sent several pictures of him adjusting so well. Such peace of mind for me knowing he has a place that he can stay when needed. Can’t recommend enough!”

“Lauren was so wonderful to my baby Astro! He came home super tired. I don’t think he even missed me because of how much fun he had with her and her dog! Overall a great experience we will definitely be back!”

11. Brandi S.
“I had worked with her as a volunteer for a pet rescue in the Seattle area. I saw her work with dogs in a reacue capacity and she was always able to easily handle them, no matter what their energy level. When I decided to move up another step and foster, I was having difficulties potty training, crate training, etc. She went out of her way to make all the steps very simple, easy to follow and as long as I was consistant with whar she had told me, it always worked.. and the most simple of them all was a good long walk on lead, and it always brought them down in energy and all the pups were in good happy state. I saw her once with 6 rescure puppies, 4 large dogs, all from a high kill shelter and she had no problem handling them all. She is truly gifted with animals.”
