“Cassandra was amazing with my little parrot, Mochi. She was originally only supposed to check-in on her once a day for about two weeks, but this got extended to a total of a month because I was diagnosed with cancer really unexpectedly and had to get surgery. Thanks to Cassandra, I felt 100% comfortable about Mochi's health, happiness, and well-being!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Angela! She took amazing care of our dog, Liza, while we were away. From the very beginning, communication was clear and prompt, and we felt completely at ease knowing our pup was in good hands. As a bonus, Angela sent us multiple pictures during her time with Liza!”

“Melissa did a great job with our pets while we were gone for a few days. Our dogs responded well to her during the meet and greet. On the visits she spent time with them and sent pictures. They looked happy and comfortable with her visits. I would highly recommend her.”

About: I have 10+ years of experience caring for dogs of all sizes and treat every dog like my own. I have the most experience with hunting breeds and high-energy dogs, but I’ve also cared for small dogs. Since I miss having my own dogs around every day, caring for others’ pets truly fills that void and is something I genuinely love doing. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I have most nights and weekends available. I’m even willing to bring your dog along with me when possible so they have plenty of company and attention. Daytime availability Monday–Friday between 8am–5pm is more limited, but I’m willing to discuss options for check-ins in the Howard/Suamico area. I make sure each pet is well cared for, comfortable, and given plenty of attention while you’re away. Depending on the dog’s needs and your preferences, that can include walks, playtime outside, backyard exercise, or trips to the dog park if allowed. My goal is to keep them active, happy, and on a routine that feels familiar and stress-free.

“Melissa continues to impress us with her thoughtful care of our dog. She sends great updates from her visits to keep us in the loop as to what is going on while we aren’t around. She’s the best!”

About: I am a licensed nurse who also has been working at a boarding/daycare/vet facility for the past 5 years. I’m well versed in different dog breeds/behaviors, as well as cats and exotic animals. My experience ranges from puppy’s-senior dogs. I am trained on insulin, medication administration, and nail trims. I work day shift currently, but am open nights/weekends for stops by, feeding/medications needs, or play time! I have 2 dogs of my own so they are always free for play dates. Biggest priority for me is making your animal comfortable and to feel safe! Letting them take the lead in getting to know my space or having me know theirs!
About: I have hands-on experience caring for and working with dogs of all breeds and ages. I worked as a dog bather for a few years, where I gained experience handling and caring for a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I’ve also walked friends’ dogs, giving me experience with different energy levels and personalities. I’m patient, responsible, and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I’m excited to give your pets the same love and attention I would give my own! I have a flexible schedule since I run my personalized resin pet tag business from home. This allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine while still having time to dedicate my full attention to the pets I’m caring for. I enjoy spending my free time with animals, so pet care is a great fit for my lifestyle! I am currently only interested in dog walking and drop ins! During walks I will ensure your pet is safe and well cared for. I will take all the necessary measures to ensure your pet’s safety.
“I recently had the pleasure of having Cheyenne cat sit my two beloved cats, and I couldn’t be happier with her service. Cheyenne was attentive, caring and insured my cats were comfortable and well taken care of. Her reliability and dedication truly made a difference and I returned home to two very happy cats. I highly recommend Cheyenne to anyone in need of a trustworthy and caring cat sitter. She is a true professional and a wonderful person who clearly loves what she does. My cats and I are grateful for her excellent care and will definitely be requesting her services again in the future if need be. Using the service for the first time, there were a lot of exceptional candidates to cat sit, but I am very happy with my decision to hire Cheyenne’s services, and you would be too. Thank you Cheyenne!”

If you have plants that need watering, mail, or packages that need to be brought in, I can help with that too! I'm retired and love traveling around Wisconsin and the world. Slow traveling is my favorite. I can explore new neighborhoods, cities, and local attractions without being rushed. I will follow your directions for your house and loved ones. About: What sets me apart is the genuine love, patience, and responsibility I bring to caring for dogs. I have experience living with and caring for multiple dogs, so I understand that each dog has their own personality, routine, energy level, and individual needs. I take the time to get to know each dog and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of different ages, including energetic puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs who may need extra patience and attention. With puppies, I can help reinforce routines, provide appropriate play and stimulation, work on basic manners, and maintain consistency with their schedule. With senior dogs, I’m attentive to their comfort, mobility, feeding routines, bathroom needs, medication instructions, and need for a calmer pace. I’m also comfortable with daily walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, administering medications when instructed, cleaning up after pets, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I pay close attention to changes in a dog’s behavior, appetite, energy, or bathroom habits so I can communicate any concerns to their owner. Most importantly, I don’t view pet sitting as simply stopping by to provide food and water. I want each dog to receive companionship, attention, exercise, and affection while their family is away. I treat the pets in my care like my own and make their safety and well-being my priority. Pet care is a big part of my daily life. I have several dogs, so caring for them is part of my everyday routine. I help with feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, cleaning up after them, and making sure they’re safe and comfortable. I genuinely enjoy spending time with my animals, and they’re a big part of my life. I care for pets by making sure they are fed, have fresh water, get plenty of exercise and attention, and are kept in a safe, clean environment. I follow each pet’s individual routine, including walks, playtime, medication if needed, and any special instructions from the owner. I also make sure to give them plenty of love and companionship while their owners are away.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
