“For a recent week - long vacation, we left our 3 year old golden doodle with Jeff. This was our first time using Rover and leaving her in someone else's home. After an initial meet and greet, we felt very comfortable with Jeff and Ember loved his fenced in yard. We liked the photo and written updates we received while vacationing. Jeff provided daily walks and outside time. He respected Ember's schedule and tried to maintain her schedule. In addition to our toys and treats, he also provided some. She was unavailable for our most recent vacation, so used Rover for the first time and ended up deciding to go with Bobbi (and her family) and have our 2 doggies stay with them for our time away. “What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on. About: Growing up on a small farm, we always had cats (good mousers), which we as kids were responsible for - feeding, cleaning & playing. About: I’ve been around dogs for most of my life family and friends pets and enjoy playing and taking care of them when needed love dogs of all sizes I’m currently working full time but love animals and helping with them where I can. Going on walks or just throwing a ball around I can do it all. Whether your fur baby likes to lounge around or be active I enjoy both and with 3 children at home keeping track and cleaning up after them is a regular past time of mine.
About: I've cared for all kinds of pets, mainly dogs and cats - all sizes and breeds. Most recently, I traveled to the southwest, house sitting the winter in CA, AZ and NM. Each extended stay (2-3 weeks each) included caring for dogs and keeping their routine (feeding/watering, cleaning up after, daily walks, play time & grooming), and maintaining the household (water plants/garbage pickup/mail collection, etc.) for 3 months. Some needed medication, in which I'm comfortable with (instructions required) and some had minor behavioral issues, but all manageable. I'm a 5-star house sitter on trustedhousesitters .com I'm self-employed and work from home, so my schedule is flexible. This allows me to be available when needed and I'm mobile (have a car). As a responsible pet owner myself, routine and trust are important to me. I always follow instructions/owner preferences when caring for pets and hold the responsibility to a high standard. About: I'm high energy and giving. I grew up with big dogs my entire life and this is the first time I have been without one in awhile. My golden retriever passed away last summer and in due time I will be getting another dog. In the meantime it brings me here so I can help others when they need it. I have experience training puppies and my father and I helped out a breeder of goldens for awhile. I enjoy finding new toys or things for dogs to do to enhance their cognitive abilities and regular exercise is important to me. I look forward to getting to know you and your dog! I'm currently working on being a bookkeeper, so I have more free time with my schedule. As of now I'm a full time oral surgery assistant, working 7am-4pm. I had a routine when I had my golden which included waking up, eat our breakfast and then go for a nice walk, followed with our daily trip to the dog park. I moved to a duplex, so boarding dogs is a bit harder for me now. However, I am still open to having them stay with me if they do okay with walks. I make sure the house is clean and safe, especially having a puppy. I keep a plethora of toys available, daily walks, grooming appointments and food. I do everything to make sure any dog is living their best life, because they're the angels that walk this earth.

“What can I say? Melissa was amazing. Needed a sitter for our Weimaraner at the last minute. Needed to leave town for family reasons. Called the usual suspects. They gave me the dog and pony show. No pun. Ridiculous what you got to go through to board your dog these days. A few of my friends and customers recommended Rover. I went on there and checked it out. In about 30 minutes from first seeing it, to signing up, I had already booked Melissa to watch our dog Kaiser. I arranged to bring him over, and she couldn't have been any more sweet. I can really tell that she loves animals. Very cool chick too. Our dog was in good hands the couple days he was there. When we got him back, he was well rested, and had none of the anxiety boarding can bring on.
