About: HI! I'm a young retired pet lover who is looking to help out fur babies families! I am available for house sitting and pet hosting at my home. Being retired, I am not on a regular schedule so I am home most often, but just like everyone, I do have appointments, shopping etc outside the home. I try to not be gone more than 5 hours at a time. I have had many dogs and cats in my life but none right now. I have been helping family and friends my whole life with pet sitting. I have helped with Chihuahua’s to PitBulls! I try to keep your fur babies on the same routine they have with you. Since I'm retired, I can take them on several walks a day. I am patient and enjoy large dogs as well as small. I am the perfect choice if your fur baby does better without other pets or children around. Or may be shy or skittish. Bring a couple favorite toys! I am retired but do help with caregiving of two family members so I am gone up to 5 hours at a time a couple times a week. Your fur baby is allowed on my couch and bed. I have a great fenced yard for throwing balls! I have a covered back porch so most fur babies love to lay outside but are under cover

About: 💕🐶NEW TO ROVER?🐱💕 GET $20 OFF YOUR FIRST BOOKING BY USING PROMO CODE REBECC18368 Valid for first-time Rover customers only. 💞REFERRALS💞 For each new referral who schedules services with me, you will receive one FREE walk/drop-in visit for your pet(s) OR 20% off your next pet-sitting booking request as a thank you! === 🐕🏃♀️💨💨 I can provide aerobic running/walking sessions to high-energy dogs, as well as offer drop-in visits and overnight pet-sitting services for furred friends of all breeds, sizes, ages and deportments. All visits may be customized to you and your pet(s)’ needs (so long as within time-frame of visit)! Visits include refreshing of water bowls, feeding/medication administration (if needed), walks/runs, cleaning up of indoor messes they may make, and, of course, LOTS of cuddling and TLC for your fur baby(ies) throughout the visit (aka kisses, scratches, hugs and rubs!). I can also carry out quick extra tasks such as bringing in your mail, turning off/on lights, adjusting your thermostat, watering your plants, taking out the trash and/or returning your emptied receptacles back where they belong for you. The pace and intensity of my walks with your pup(s) are always tuned to your individual dog’s needs and desires. They range from laid-back, leisurely strolls (usually enjoyed by recovering and/or older dogs) to intensive running sessions (loved by younger and high-energy dogs)! === 💛🐶 During the pandemic of 2020, I also had the privilege of transporting and fostering an unwanted rescued pitbull from NYC into my PA home for what was supposed to be for just a couple of weeks. However, he ended up staying with me in my home for the next few years until he passed away peacefully. During his time here, he transformed from being sickly, lethargic, anxious and anti-social (who was deathly afraid of being in water) to a robust, energetic, loving and outgoing dog whom you couldn't get out of any body of water as hard as you tried (rivers, lakes, etc)! The change was truly miraculous and heart-warming to the core to see! === After each walk/visit, you will receive a text message from me with photos/videos letting you know how my time with them went! Included in this message will be a confirmation of completion of any extra tasks/special requests made by you for me to carry out. As a passionate animal lover myself, you can rest assure that they will be in the most loving, caring and attentive of hands and heart! I look forward to beginning a wonderful and healthy relationship with you and your pet(s)! === 🐕🏃♀️DOG WALKING & DROP-IN VISITS $25 per visit For one 30-minute visit per week (For up to 2 pets) $20 per visit For two or more 30-minute visits per week (For up to 2 pets) $35 per visit For one 60-minute visit per week (For up to 2 pets) $30 per visit For two or more 60-minute visits per week (For up to 2 pets) $5 per additional dog $1 per additional cat $5 weekend fee per visit $5 holiday fee per visit 2+ Hour Visits (Upon Special Request): $5 per additional hour ■•■•■ 🏡24-HOUR CARE (UP TO 24 HOURS - WITH OVERNIGHT STAY INCLUDED) Your home will be my home base for up to a 24-hour period (with an overnight stay included within those 24 hours). I will leave to go do any walks/drop-ins I have scheduled, but the rest of my time will be devoted to the safe-keeping and care of your home and pet(s). I will be away no more than 4-6 hours at a time maximum if needed (unless otherwise specified by you). The quality care of your pets will continue to be my top priority and NEVER be compromised. I may also use my pet-friendly home (complete with a fenced-in grassy yard and doggy door access) as a home base (in addition to yours) if that works well for your pet. During transportation, your pet will always be safely secured in my vehicle with a safety seatbelt harness. ADVANTAGES OF HOUSE SITTING House sitting (a.k.a. pet sitting) works very well for pets who tend to be nervous, anxious and/or destructive when left alone and away from their owners for longer periods of time than what they are normally accustomed to. This is also a wonderful solution for pets who tend to need more frequent supervision, special care and attention due to their age, those who recently have been introduced into your home and/or those with a compromised or recovering health condition. Your fur baby will feel wonderfully loved and cared for while waiting for you to return to him or her. As for your pup(s), when we are not at home, we are either going out for a walk/run in the neighborhood, meeting up with other friendly pooches needing to be visited and taken out for their walks, or out on a fun adventure and walk/run/hike/splash at any of the various wonderful, wooded, trail-laden parks in this beautiful region of PA! With personal pet-sitting, your beloved pet will receive more one-on-one time, care, loving attention – and freedom – than if it were placed in a crowded pet day-care facility or boarding kennel cage, while you receive the peace of mind that your fur baby is receiving the next best thing to you – right in the familiar surroundings of his or her own home! In addition, their risk of contracting illness or infections from other pets in such facilities will be avoided. $80 per day (For up to 2 pets) $40 extended care (Add up to 12 additional hours of care for up to 2 pets, if needed) $20 extended care (Add up to 6 additional hours of care for up to 2 pets, if needed) $10 extended care (Add up to 3 additional hours of care for up to 2 pets, if needed) $5 per additional dog $1 per additional cat $10 weekend fee per day $15 holiday fee per day ■•■•■ 🌜OVERNIGHT STAY ONLY (UP TO 12 HOURS) $50 per night (For one night, for up to 2 pets) $10 extended care (Add up to 6 additional hours of care for up to 2 pets, if needed) $5 extended care (Add up to 3 additional hours of care for up to 2 pets, if needed) $5 per additional dog $1 per additional cat $10 weekend fee per day $15 holiday fee per day 🎉 HOLIDAYS New Year's Day Memorial Day Weekend (Sat-Mon) July 4th Labor Day Weekend (Sat-Mon) Thanksgiving (Thu-Sun) Christmas Eve Christmas New Year's Eve 💛 FRIDAY SUNDOWN TO SATURDAY SUNDOWN I am not open between Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, but if you need someone to come care for your pet(s) and cannot find anyone else to do so and/or it’s a last-minute emergency situation, I will be more than glad to do so if I can. “Karla did an outstanding job watching our dog! She was on time and very careful to make sure that our Girl was not in need of anything. She was a pleasure to deal with and even fed my fish while we were away. I would highly recommend using her, it certainly gave us huge piece of mind knowing that our Dog was in good and safe hands.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ironton. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
