“Kaylee was so wonderful with our senior cat, Holly! Holly already misses her. ☺️ We knew she would be the perfect fit at the meet-and-greet when shy Holly came out from under the bed to eat treats from Kaylee's hand. Kaylee is very kind and patient with animals. Holly was given playtime, brushing, and treats daily along with her dry food and prescription wet food. Kaylee sent photos and videos every single day at the end each pet-sitting check-in. Her communication was consistent and excellent, allowing us to truly relax when we were on vacation. It gave us reassurance knowing that Kaylee was enjoying her time with our cat and that Holly warmed up to her so quickly. When we got home, we couldn't believe how clean everything looked! Kaylee also brought in our mail and followed all of our instructions for Holly. We will definitely hire Kaylee again without hesitation! She truly has a heart for cats and other animals, and for people too!”

“Caitlin was great! She took great care of our cat and chickens during our weekend away. We loved the pictures and updates she shared during each visit! We will definitely be using her again for future pet sitting.”

“Gabbie is great! My pup is pretty shy and going through some health concerns. Gabbie was attentive to what my dog needs, has been consistently on-time and has built up trust with her in the span of a week. Sadie seems really excited when Gabbie comes by and seems to enjoy their mid-day play sessions!”

“Sherill has been a huge help with getting our new puppy adjusted to being home without us during the day. Mabel loves her drop in visits and we appreciate her patience with the puppy energy over the first couple of weeks.”

“Having a total care senior dog can be extremely stressful when planning a trip out of town. My dogs used to be road trip champs but unfortunately due to old age and one handicap, they have to stay behind. From the moment Mason came for a meet and greet both dogs greeted him and were calm and happy in their presence. Masons confidence and willingness to care for my total care senior dog was a relief. I was able to go out of town for 5 days with a peace of mind knowing that they were not only well taken care of but happy as well. I highly recommend him for all your doggie needs.”

“Amber did an amazing job taking care of our five cats! We have some scaredy cats and some more growly ones and she respected each of their boundaries. We came home to very happy cats. She also handled giving one of our more growly cats a pill each day with no issues. Very happy with Amber as a cat sitter and would recommend using her!”
“Allison gets 10 stars out of 5!! This was our first time using Rover and we couldn't be happier with Allison and the job she did with our 7 year old dog. She stopped by on two separate occasions prior to our trip to get acquainted with our dog. She was super diligent and on time for every visit. She communicated very well and provided ample updates and pictures. We’re lucky to have found her and will use her again.”

“This was our second time with Alex, they did an excellent job with our kitty and my guinea pig! Our kitty is pretty shy but after a few visits she started to warm up to them. Now our kitty can get snuggles when we are gone, especially when she's picky on who she likes.”

About: Animals have always been a major part of my life from cats to dogs to toads, I love them all. Over the years I have always had indoor cats and dogs in my care that have ranged in age from newborn to senior, energetic to unwell and everything in between. When I’m not caring for my pets or others, I’m a work from home artist and volunteer at the humane society as a foster and dog walker. Take comforting in knowing I would treat your best friend right. Currently I work from home as an artist (predominantly pet portraits) and can set my own schedule leaving me with ample availability for bit time or day and days throughout the week. I have a three acre yard with a large fenced in area, my dogs are extremely friendly and there is lake access that my own dogs use for swimming very often
“Brytan is awesome - she has been great with Georgie and he loves her visits! She has been so so flexible with my evolving work schedule too! Will definitely continue to use her and recommend her for services to anyone who needs puppy pet care!”

About: I’ve taken care of every kind of animal since I was young. I’ve always grown up with multiple dogs in my home, and even a few other critters. :) I am well versed in potty training and do not mind helping you with that. I also took care of my terminally ill dog up until December when he sadly passed away, so I am also well versed in caring for pets at end of life or that may need special attention. I am a supervisor for CVS & currently WFH M-F. Therefor, I am home at all times to care for your pets. We spend lots of our afternoons outside, or snuggling on the couch. My schedule is very flexible and I am able to step away at any time to care for my home and pets as needed. I have medium sized 4ft fenced in yard, and one sweet fur baby to keep your pet company. He is extremely friendly and loves new friends. He is about 15lb, neutered, Cairn Terrier. He spends some of his days at doggy day care socializing so he would love a pet friend to stay with him at home. Your pet will have access to outdoors whenever they should choose, no doggy door for safety purposes, but if they want outside, their wish is my command! I am able to let your pet sleep with me, or crate them at night. Whatever you prefer! I am extremely flexible with my schedule to ensure your pet has access to whatever they need at any time!

About: Hi, I'm Emma! By day, I’m a geologist working in brewing operations, but on the weekends, my focus is entirely on providing attentive care for your pets. My professional background means I am incredibly detail-oriented, reliable, and strictly adhere to schedules and routines. My love for animals goes beyond standard pet sitting. I have experience volunteering at The Creature Conservancy in Ann Arbor, MI, where I learned all about animal welfare, and I spent my years in grad school learning about human impacts on urban ecosystems. I also have a deep empathy for rescues and medical care. I personally rescued and successfully nursed my own street cat back to full health, so I am no stranger to administering specialized care, monitoring health cues, and giving extra patience to timid or sensitive animals. I also grew up with sweet rescue dogs- one miniature pinscher, and one Labrador/pitbull mix! Because I work a structured schedule during the week, my weekends are completely dedicated to making sure your pets are safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pet needs high-energy play or gentle, attentive companionship, I'm here to treat them like my own! My schedule allows me to offer dedicated cat care primarily on weekends and Mondays, which are my most flexible days for extended visits and playtime. Additionally, I am available for some early morning/evening drop-ins during the week to make sure your cats are fed, scooped, and loved before the workday begins. Because I maintain a consistent routine, you can count on me to arrive reliably at the specific times your cat expects their meals or medication. Safety and trust are my top priorities when entering your home. As a cat owner who has managed medical recovery, I am hyper-vigilant about environmental safety, including double-checking that windows and doors are securely shut, and ensuring all hazardous items are well out of reach. I respect that cats are territorial, so I focus on keeping their environment calm, clean, and consistent. I will provide detailed daily updates and photos so you have total peace of mind that your home is secure and your cat is thriving.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
