“Maisie has stayed with Paula and her family for four separate days over the last 10 days and they have taken such good care of her. I am really happy to have found them. It is a lovely warm, relaxed atmosphere in the house. Maisie loves going there and is always exhausted when I am picking her up after her busy day - Paula walks her in the Castle Park and she is kept entertained in the house with Paula and her family. Paula is also mindful of and helpful in working on Maisie’s puppy behaviors like chewing and picking up rubbish!!! It is great to have found such a nice family to look after Maisie and I hope that they will mind Maisie regularly🐾🐾🐾”

About: I am an animal lover. I've always had dogs. I have two dogs Bobby and Marley. I am a fantastic dog walker. I bring Bobby and Marley for walks everyday. It is the highlight of my day seeing how happy they are out on their walk. I have been minding dogs in Australia for the past two years, now that I'm home I would love to continue doing so. I enjoy looking after animals. I am very caring. When I am minding dogs I always make it as enjoyable and fulfilling for them as possible, I would never leave them alone. When minding them, they are getting constant attention off me. I've always had dogs growing up I know what's involved in looking after them. I also had two rabbits before as well (Sonny and Buttons). I got Buttons as a present and then I got Sonny to keep Buttons company, this really improved Buttons quality of life which was so lovely to see. Your pet is in safe hands with me. I am super flexible. I am just home from Australia so I am currently unemployed. I am super flexible. I have been minding and walking dogs for the past two years in Australia. I have a fenced yard with a back garden. I have two dogs who get on great with other dogs. I have a car to travel.

About: Hi, I’m Saoirse, a qualified veterinary nurse with a lifelong love of animals and a deep commitment to their wellbeing. With years of hands-on experience in veterinary care, I bring not only professional knowledge but also genuine compassion to every pet I care for. Your furry friend will be treated with the same love, attention, and respect I give my own. Animal welfare is at the heart of everything I do. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, medication support, or simply cuddles and company, I tailor every visit to your pet’s individual needs. You can enjoy peace of mind knowing they’re in safe, experienced hands. I’m currently working full-time from home on my farm and also doing occasional locum shifts at an emergency vet hospital. This means I’m usually available with notice and have plenty of time to give your pets the love and care they deserve! Whether your dog stays with me or I come to you, they’ll be cared for like one of my own. If they’re staying at my home, they’ll enjoy a safe, secure environment with a fully fenced garden and plenty of open fields for fun walks and exercise. I have two friendly dogs who love making new friends, and crates are available if your pup is crate-trained or needs a quiet space. If you prefer care in your own home, I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable and loved, following your routines and providing the same care and attention you would give them yourself.

About: Loving, caring, and genuinely make all dogs feel like they are my own! Dogs are like family, I take pride in making sure that they will always be excited to see me. Training experience in the past. Love taking pictures, so you would always be updated as much as you’d like! I’ve decided to take time off work to be with my son, but absolutely love walking around the town! I genuinely enjoy taking care of dogs whether it’s walking them, letting them out, or visiting them just so they aren’t alone! I wanted to do something that thoroughly love and enjoy even if it’s rain or shine. Pets deserve to be inside, not outside unless it’s for the toilet, playing, and releasing energy! The furniture is part of the home, it’s ok for them to sit on it as well. Treats are given (if it’s allowed by the owner of course) play time is a necessity, and dogs who are great with little ones!

About: Not too keen on kennels? I offer a home from home environment in Callan, Co.Kilkenny, for your beloved dog to relax in the comfort of my home. I live in a detached house 15 minutes outside Kilkenny City with Oscar who’s a 16yr old Coton de Tulear. A few years ago we looked after a neighbours dog, my dogs enjoyed the company so we decided to make it a regular occurrence so here we are!! I work from home (Mon-Fri) so my mornings and evenings are free, I've decided to only offer dog boarding as that's what suits us best. It's nice to offer a home away from home to dog owners who’d like their loved one in a homely environment. I work from home (Mon-Fri) so my mornings and evenings are free so I've decided to only offer dog boarding. I get up about 7/8am, dogs are fed and then go for a 1hr+ walk around the Castle park. Upon returning home, they get a treat and settle into the office or a cosy spot around the house for the afternoon. The garden doors are open to come and go as they please. Quick evening walk around 6/7pm and generally lights out by 10/11pm. Guests have full access downstairs and to the living room in the evening to relax beside the fire for a more comforting environment. I find dogs settle in quickly when they initially arrive, Oscar is extremely laid back. It makes for a calm and peaceful experience especially if this is their first time away from home. It's nice to offer a home away from home to dog owners who’d like their loved one in a homely environment. Your dog will be in a homely environment, treated as part of our family whilst you're secure in the knowledge that your dog is being taken care of! I send daily updates of photos and videos for the duration of your beloved companions stay.

About: My main experience comes from my own beloved dogs. My family dog Mia (miniature jack russell) who I grew up with (and who lives with my parents at present) has just turned 12 this year. While she is a nervous little girl Ive gained her trust over the years and she has been well looked after with the usual walks, toys & cuddles! In the last year I have adopted my own dog Daisy (a total pet!). She is one of the best things in my life and while she’s had a few health knock backs she is doing great and is a complete joy to care for. Given my time spent around my own dogs I am well familiar with the responsibilities and requirements dogs need & so I hope you’ll consider me when looking for a new sitter😊 I’m currently working from home and have plenty of time to walk, play and love any dogs coming for a temporary visit! Dogs would typically be fed morning and evening. They would get a short walk late afternoon and play time as needed. All dogs are welcome inside and outside my home. The house is one story and dogs would have access to most rooms (with others being closed off via baby gates). I have a long garden approximately 165m2 which is secured by high walls and fencing. Gates to access the backyard are tall and hung low to the ground so no fear of dogs escaping underneath! My own dog is generally excellent around others but can be weary of hyper dogs, if there is any signs of arguing the dogs can be separated easily within the house and let outside at different times. There are no kids or other animals. There is also a vet clinic ~7min drive in the case of any emergencies.

About: What sets me apart is how personal I make the care. I don’t just look after pets — I take the time to really understand them and treat them like family. I’ve fostered and raised three puppies at the same time from a young age, so I know how to handle different personalities, keep them happy and safe, and help them learn the basics with patience (and plenty of treats!). I’ve also cared for senior dogs and even a blind dog, where it’s all about being gentle, calm, and consistent so they feel safe and secure. On the other end, I’ve worked with cats rescued from hoarding situations — some were extremely nervous and shut down at first. It took time, trust-building, and lots of patience to help them feel safe enough to come out of their shells. It’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Every animal is different, so I always tailor my care to suit their needs — whether that’s sticking to routines, reinforcing training, giving space and reassurance, or just spending time with them in a way they enjoy. I genuinely love what I do, and I think pets can feel that. Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine really naturally — it’s something I love and build my days around. As a student, I have a flexible schedule, especially during the summer when I’m fully available. Even during the academic year, I have three full days off and my classes usually run between 9am and 2pm, so I still have plenty of time to give pets the attention they deserve. I structure my days to include at least three meaningful sessions with the animals I’m caring for. For dogs, that usually means three solid walks — often around an hour each — spaced throughout the day to give them exercise, stimulation, and structure. With cats, I’ll spend time on interactive play like hunting-style games for 20 minutes or so, spread across the day, plus plenty of cuddles and enrichment. I also love working on training and usually fit in short sessions before feeding times, which helps with focus and reinforces positive behaviour. Caring for animals isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule — it is the schedule. I’m committed to giving every pet in my care the time, energy, and attention they need to feel happy, safe, and loved. Whether I’m looking after your pet in your home or mine, I do everything I can to make them feel safe, comfortable, and truly cared for. When pets stay **in my home**, I give them their own space — usually a crate or cosy corner with their blankets and toys — that they can treat as their personal room. It’s a quiet, comfy area they can retreat to anytime they want to rest or take a break, but it’s never forced. I make sure their day is full of enrichment, play, affection, and rest, all balanced to suit their personality and energy level. When we head out for **walks**, safety comes first. I avoid unnecessary contact with other dogs and always bring plenty of fresh water to keep them hydrated, especially in warmer weather. I tailor the length and pace of the walk to your dog’s age, breed, and needs. In **your home**, I aim to keep their routine as consistent as possible — from feeding schedules and walking times to their favourite toys and nap spots. I leave everything just as I found it, and most importantly, your pet feels secure in their own environment. To give you peace of mind, I send regular daily updates with pictures, little notes about our day or concerns to keep you in the loop and give you a piece of mind

“Superbe! Mélanie a été très sympa et attentionnée avec Billie et très patiente avec elle malgré son jeune âge et les petits accidents. Mozart est adorable et sociable, Billie avait hâte de le retrouver chaque matin.”

“Alison was the perfect host for our dog Medo. Her location is close to the centre of town, and she was able to take the booking with only 2 days notice. She was also very accommodating with our collection time when we were delayed. We would definitely recommend booking with Ali, and would like to book her services again when back in Kilkenny. Thank you again Ali!”

“Méabh has looked after my two dogs Rocco and Rua loads of times now. I can not recommend Méabh enough. She is so loving and caring to both my dogs and not to mention fun. They both love when they see Méabh coming. If you want someone who loves animals, Méabh is the one!”

Saoirse O.
“Saoirse has been looking after our dog Harley when we're at work for over 3 months now. She is incredibly caring and attentive towards Harley and Harley absolutely adores her. Harley is a Staffy and can be very excitable and hyper at times. She had way too much energy and has separation anxiety. When left alone for too long she would become destructive. When she comes home from spending a day with Saoirse she is a happy calm dog and sleeps through the night. I would recommend Saoirse to anybody who needs pet sitting, she has been a life saver and she is really genuine person who loves all animals.”

Kelsey T.
“Kelsey is the sweetest kindest soul inside and out. Her love for dogs is unmatched and my 2 get so excited when they see her pull up outside. She has her own little fur baby who is also loved and adored. I would trust Kelsey with my life - ie my 2 puppers 😍”
