About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I have taken care of them as a puppy all the way to caring for them as senior dogs. I miss having a dog in the house and I would love to pet sit for anyone. I currently work full time but my hours are flexible. I am available every weekend and some days during the week. Your pet will get plenty of rubs and walks. I have a fenced garden in my house. I don’t have any dogs in my home at the minute but it is pet friendly. I live beside the Curragh so your pet will be walked every day!
“Natalia couldn’t have been nicer, she was excellent with Rex from the minute we met It’s the first time I’d used this service and she put me at ease throughout our holiday with pictures and videos of how Rex was getting on, this I found super assuring I will absolutely be using Natalia’s service again and I highly highly recommend her Thank you for everything Natalia”

“Emer is the most amazing dog sitter. She is so caring and mindful. We got photos of our dog on his walk and he was so happy with her dogs. Our dog loved his stay with her and we would happily use her again. ”
About: I’ve had cats and dogs at home since I was young, so going on 25 years now. I have 2 small dogs of my own in the house. I have a large fenced in garden for your doggies to play in! I work fully remote so I am available all day for dog minding. I can drive and love to bring my dogs to Punchestown for their walkies It is a pet friendly, fenced in yard in a quiet neighbourhood near a park. The house itself is also pet friendly with pets allowed on furniture.

“Daniel and his lovely family made our dogs first stay away from home, both easy for her and easy for us. We had lots of update pics and video clips so we knew how happy and cared for she was. She had a wonderful time. We could not have asked for anything more. Would recommend Daniel highly as a carer and would love to book again”
“Shreya looked after Dudley so well and kept us updated with photos etc. Dudley had a very happy time and was in great form after his short holiday. Shreya loves dogs and is clearly a kind and caring person. We can certainly recommend Shreya and Dudley is looking forward to staying with her again in the future. Thank you, Shreya! 🙏🐕😊”

“Our 3 dogs had a great time with Paul and Michelle, one of ours was anxious and they went out of their way to ensure that he got extra special meals when he wouldn’t eat his kibble anymore. Every update they were happy and tails wagging. They bonded great with each other and I would definitely recommend booking with these guys. It is a home away from home atmosphere. Thanks again from Max, Tess and Fianna”

“Molly had a fantastic time. She was so looked after. Lots of walks, cuddles and playtime. I received photos and videos during Molly's vacation with a great minder. She was all fresh and washed when I collected her. I definitely recommend and will be using Jennifer's services again. I'm sure Molly would agree with me!!!!”

“Harini was fantastic with Duncan. They had a lovely time together and I received several daily updates finding out that he was doing well. I am very happy to have her minding him any time.”
About: I have experience caring for a variety of pets, including cats, dogs and rabbits of different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have hands-on experience with both energetic and calm pets, and I adapt my care based on their individual personalities. I am also comfortable caring for shy or slightly anxious dogs, giving them the patience and calm environment they need to feel secure. I currently work from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays. On weekends, I'll be home all the time. Whenever I go out, I'll make sure my pet has plenty of space and a comfortable environment to relax and move around. My home 🏡 is a spacious three-bedroom house designed to be safe, clean, and pet-friendly. I create separate areas for resting, feeding, and playing, so each dog has their own comfortable space. If caring for more than one dog, I always prioritise compatibility and supervise all interactions carefully. Feeding is done separately to ensure a calm environment, and pets are never left alone for long periods. There is also a park nearby 🌳, which is perfect for daily walks and outdoor playtime, helping dogs stay active and happy.
“Our dog Eva stayed with Mark for the weekend, we got plenty of updates and she got plenty of exersise - loads of walks and parks, she came back happy and tired - which is hard to do with her as she has lots of energy! So cant recommend Mark enough.”
“Elena was wonderful! From the first meet and greet to picking up my pup. She looked after our dog over Christmas and made it very special for our pup and we didn't worry once! Communication was great and loved the photos and updates!”
“I can’t recommend Mayara enough! She stayed with my dog for 20 days and was absolutely exceptional, incredibly thoughtful, caring, and attentive. Thor is a white Shih Tzu (and anyone with one knows how hard it is to keep them clean), but she made sure he was always spotless and well groomed. She took amazing care of him, making sure he always had his food (Butternut Box), even buying more food when he ran out, and keeping to his routine perfectly. She was so affectionate with him and really made him feel at home. He’s used to sleeping in my bed, and she even let him sleep in hers, which made such a difference for him. Every day, she sent me updates, photos, and videos so I could see how happy he was. She told me about his walks, playtime, and how well he was doing. She also helped him socialize with another dog, which was wonderful for his confidence and development (something I really appreciated since he doesn’t get that much at home). I felt completely at peace knowing he was being cared for with so much love and attention. I’m so grateful to Mayara for everything she did for my pup! I would trust her again in a heartbeat and highly, highly recommend her to anyone looking for a truly exceptional sitter on Rover. ❤️🐶”

“Kenia took such good care of Milly our cat. We were delighted with the regular updates Kenia sent… photos, videos and messages. She genuinely loves cats. We highly recommend Kenia and would be very happy for her to look after Milly again.”

“Maryanni and Wladmyr took great care of Gasper while I was away for the Bank Holiday weekend. He was brought on his daily walks and I was kept up to date with plenty of photos and videos. I would definitely recommend them as excellent dog sitters!”
“Wendy was absolutely amazing with our dog! She was incredibly attentive to all his needs, making sure he had the perfect balance of walks, playtime, and rest. We were especially happy that he got to enjoy plenty of socialisation with other doggy friends, which he clearly loved. Wendy’s communication was spot-on — we received regular updates and lovely photos of his activities, which really reassured us while we were away. She took wonderful care of him, and it was clear he was very happy during his stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to have him stay with Wendy again — the whole experience gave us complete peace of mind.”
“Would highly recommend Kinga and her family to look after your dog. Kinga took excellent care of our dog, Belle. Kinga is a friendly and caring person and made Belle feel at ease from the moment we dropped her off. We also appreciated the daily updates too. Thank you Kinga and family 😊. ”
“We are so happy with Natalia’s boarding service for our dog Molly! We left her with Natalia for 8 nights while we went on holiday, and she had such a fun time between daily walks, cuddles, playtimes, and even a day trip to Glendalough! We received daily updates of Molly through videos and pictures which made us feel very much at ease as we could see she was getting on great. We highly recommend Natalia for any service as she was incredibly caring and loving towards our Molly during her stay :) We will definitely be using Natalia the next time we need Molly minded!”

This was my first time leaving Yogi in another home, and Holly really put me at ease! Yogi is a very energetic Samoyed, so I was impressed with how well she managed and walked him every day. She kept me updated with regular photos, and he looked so happy in every one! I’m so grateful for the care she gave him and would happily recommend her! 🥰

Ciara was absolutely phenomenal with my Bichon, Fluffy. She can be very nervous and shy around new people and she fit right in. All through the week I got picture and video updates of Fluffy and didn't think she'd want to come home she was so spoiled! Cannot thank Ciara enough for her phenomenal care. Like many people I'm so nervous leaving my dog with other people and while being away but I'd really recommend Ciara to anybody and everybody. Not a bother on Fluffy and my mind was at complete ease 🥰

Tracey was fantastic while minding our dog Peggy. She kept us updated throughout with lots of photos and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Peggy was clearly very well looked after and happy in her care. We are absolutely delighted with the experience and would highly recommend Tracey to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog minder. 🐶❤️

Himangi and her partner took very good care of our girl Nel. They sent us some pictures and updates while we were away and it was clear Nel was in good spirits. She was super easy to communicate with and it’s clear she really enjoys dogs. We’ll definitely be using Himangi again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Dog Boarding in Curragh on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per night (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Dog Boarding easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Dog Boarding.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up to date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in Kildare ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Adenovirus), and Leptospirosis.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Some boarding sitters stay with the dogs in their care for most of the day, while others may step out for work, errands or other commitments. Each sitter’s schedule and the amount of time your dog may be left alone will vary, so it is important to agree expectations before the stay begins.
Before booking, tell the sitter how long your dog can comfortably be left alone and confirm their typical schedule during the stay. Adding the maximum number of hours your dog can be left alone to their profile can also help sitters decide whether they are the right match.
Boarding does not automatically include round-the-clock supervision. If your dog needs someone present at all times, ask whether the sitter offers constant care or 24/7 care. This may require a separate arrangement and may not be included in the sitter’s standard boarding rate.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three- or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-in visits, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12.00 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our booking protection will kick in. This means you'll get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
