“This was Kodi's first stay with Mitzi and Klifton K. Based on a great reference from personal friends, we were so happy that Kodi had a chance to join their pack over the weekend and continue learning all the great ways to be a part of a playful pack. She was a rescue off the streets in NM, and is learning such positive ways to become a great dog. Mitzi & Klifton are top pro dog folks who have created a robust and safe environment for the pups. Loved getting daily reports and photos of pack play, and the hard copy photo of Kodi as a visual gift of her weekend there was a bonus. Expanding Kodi's dog care options with them was a success. Thanks so much!”

“Y’all have no idea how thankful I am for Missy and Evan! Bru had such a great time that I now consider them his second family. Thanks for taking such great care of my boy!”
“This was our second stay with Nicole and Craig. Not only does their family provide love and care for our precious Shibas, but they are patient with their quirks and persistent food hunting! Thank you Nicole, Craig, and your boys for keeping Winnie and Rocky safe and loved while we are away!”

“Emma was amazing with Curry! Her dogs even taught him how to howl 🥰 she included many photos and videos and Curry misses being there already, we can tell!! She will be our new go to sitter for him.”

“Barbara is one of a kind! She is a secret that I don't want others to know about - we really like her that much. She is amazing to work with - sending updates every day and putting our minds at ease as we travel internationally. Milo was loved, walked and pampered during his stay with Barbara.”

“Stella had an amazing stay with Stephen and his family. It was a great experience all around and communication was great. Stella was taken very good care of and we would definitely use Stephen again for a sitter. Really appreciate how well she was taken care of! Thank you!”

About: I’ve taken care of large/,medium & small dogs since I was 20. Neighbors, friends and family relied on me to groom, walk, feed & bath their pets, and I can do it for you. As I’m retired with plenty of time to care for your dog, and take it on walks, if you choose.. I do have a cat so your pet needs to be cat-friendly. I’m available for boarding/drop-off after 2 p.m., on weekdays & weekends, unless other arrangements made in advance. I am retired, and have plenty of time to care for your pet(s). I have a fenced yard, a large, covered, enclosed deck for lounging in open-air, 2 friendly small dogs, and a cat. Also live in fairly large house with my grandson who is 4 yrs. old (must get along w/child, small dogs & cat).. I can walk your dog if arrangements made in advance (for additional fee.) I crate my dogs at night, and prefer you provide a crate for your dog(s), as well.
“Melinda was an absolutely fantastic Rover sitter. She took wonderful care of our dogs for eight nights and was amazing about giving our girl her glaucoma eye drops twice a day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such attentive, reliable hands while we were away. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups and would absolutely book with Melinda again. Highly recommend!”

“As always, Danielle and her family are amazing!! I always feel safe leaving my dog there when I am out of town. She takes great care of your pups and always sends picture updates. I will miss her when I move out of state.”

“Eric and Kim take their job with Rover seriously. It’s clearly important to them to get to know each dog that they work with well and also to bond with each dog and establish trust. Their communication with me was top notch from the get go, which quickly eased my mind leaving my dog in their care. I’m grateful to have found them and will not hesitate to rebook with them in the future!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Idaho Springs
Jeff did a wonderful job taking care of Georgie. Georgie stayed with him for one night, and he warmed up to Jeff very quickly. Jeff communicated with us throughout the stay since it was our first time leaving Georgie with someone he wasn’t familiar with. We truly appreciated the updates and care. We’ll definitely use his services again. Thank you, Jeff!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
