So happy to have found Kristen! My two dogs are very anxious and Kristen took the time to come meet them prior to the first visit. She played ball with the dogs and was patient with them as they got used to a new human!

About: Hi there! I’m a professional veterinary technician with four years of hands-on clinical experience. My background means I bring a much higher level of care, safety, and medical knowledge to your pets than your average pet sitter. I am currently a stay at home mom once my kiddos go off to school for the day. I’ll have late mornings into afternoons for your pet needs. I will not be doing any pet sitting at my own home, but if there ever was an opportunity where it could work out and was needed I do have a fenced in yard and a dog friendly dog

About: Working professional on Cape starting Rover to exercise more and be with animals! Your pup or kitty come first: what are the instructions we talked about? What’s their mood/temperament at this visit? How many cute pics can I get before my phone storage is full again? Jokes aside, your pets routine and health/safety are what I’m here to maintain — I’ll communicate, play, chat while I give them meds wrapped in peanut butter — you name it, I am paying attention to them. I am in it for the quality animal time! I spent my childhood with horses and learned young how deeply connected we are to our animals. I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life until lately. I’d be delighted to meet some of you here on Cape to watch over your little ones! I work full time and am available for dog walks reliably all weekend and after work. I accept weekend dog boarding. Cat boarding I accept throughout the week in addition to weekends. The animal comes first, simple as that. I offer dog walks around Cape, in home visits to feed and play in the yard, and selective boarding of pups in my own home as that’s limited to weekends only. I offer house visits to kitties as well as selective boarding in my own home. Each scenario is unique — let’s chat!

Available early mornings, annd after 11 PM—ideal for your lunch hour— 5 PM to 9 PM so you can enjoy your evening with family. Let me be the room to rush to tend to your fur babies! My favourite walkways are those by grassy areas, where their energy can be matched, letting them enjoy parks, sights, and sounds. DM me to connect. Book now! About: I have experience as a veterinary assistant, and have worked with so many different animals! I have lots of hands-on experience and knowledge of animal health and care. I have worked with a doggy daycare as well and loved every second. I know how important it is to find a pet sitter that really cares! I can go on long or short walks depending on the dog’s ability. I have cared for puppies to senior dogs, so I know the different activity levels. If away, I will make sure your animal is eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom normally, and I will always let the owner know if something seems wrong. I will also gladly send pictures when asked! Can administer medication. I am also fully insured! I will always make sure pets are safe and secure when leaving homes. I can crate dogs if ever needed. I will feed on schedule and go on walks accordingly. I will follow all protocols given by owners, and I will clean up messes from the animals if that ever happens. Your pet will be in good hands, and if anything seems wrong with the animal while you are gone, I will call the owner or, in case of an emergency, bring she/him to the vet. I am currently working part-time, so I have lots of time to play with your animals! I am available on weekends and weekdays. I am always willing to fit you in around my open schedule! I provide attentive care tailored to your pet's needs. This includes regular feeding, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. I maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring your pet's comfort and well-being at all times.

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life and career. I currently manage a veterinary hospital and have experience working alongside both general practice and emergency veterinary teams. As a pet parent to a nervous, reactive dog, I understand that every pet has unique needs and personalities. Whether your pet loves adventure, playtime, quiet companionship, or requires a little extra patience and understanding, I’ll make sure they receive attentive, compassionate care tailored to them. Currently working Full time and looking to do this as a side job. I would prefer dogs that are close to me to ensure I can do as many walks as possible. Working in the Vet Med field has taught me how incredibly important safety is. I follow the owner’s instructions to the tee and will put the pets safety as a top priority on all our walks.

Kelly was terrific with Cooper. Right on time with a walk, the necessary "relief", and dinner. Cooper always eats at 5 PM (or he'll let me know I'm late!) and Kelly was on time. Snuggles and a little play and Cooper was good to go until I arrived home 5 hours later.

Nikki was amazing. I was nervous because I had just pulled my dog out of a bad sitter situation. She was available last minute, took the time to talk to me for a while, was validating and reassuring and made me confident my dog was in good hands. She showed up as promised, was so sweet and professional, and great with the pup. Can't thank you enough for stepping in a a tough time, and taking such good care of us. 💜

About: I grew up always having a dog and other pets in our home. I absolutely love animals! When I was 19 I got my first dog on my own, Kyla she was a yellow lab and the love of my life. I currently have 2 Belgian Malinois- Cali and Bruin. I've worked training with them and another German Shepherd. I've also volunteered with MSPCA in the past. I would love to help in any way needed to keep your four legged friend happy and safe. I am experienced in many different breeds of dogs. Whether it's puppies or elderly dogs I have experience with both and I always care for them as I do my own! Walking, running, playing, feeding, brushing, cleanup or even belly rubs! I love caring for animals! :) I am currently working part-time as a PCA, doing in home private care. Prior, I was full-time for 10 years with a woman who suffered a TBI. I am very flexible with my daily schedule as I can move my work hours around to fit my dog's clients needs. I don't bring dog's I am caring for to my house, as mine get too worked up! I can care for pet's in their home/yard and walk them from there. I also take some dogs to different trails, hikes, and dog parks. All up to the owner's preference! I am happy to do what works best :)

Meg is new to us due to the relocation of our previous Rover walker/ sitter. She is extremely well qualified and professional. Gracie generally does quite a bit of protective barking at the door, but greeted Meg like a long lost friend! Just wagged her tail and gave her a kiss. Best friends already. Meg gave her a great walk and Gracie came back grinning from ear to ear! Feel very confident in Meg!

  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
