Safety, trust & environment

First off I make sure I know all their habits such as: when they eat, where, where they sleep, are they allowed on furniture, how often do they need to go out, etc… I will walk them if needed and play with them. Whether it’s playing fetch or having a cat chase a string. I love to give pets affection but will make sure they are okay with it.

A typical day

The activity I find most dogs love is going for a walk. I will let them take in all the smells while doing so and make sure to bring water. I will also play fetch with them and give them lots of scratches. I know many places that are dog friendly to walk and play.

I’ll treat ur fur baby like my own

Pet care experience

I have owned pets all my life and have provided pet care services for the past 20 years. Pets are a huge part of one’s family and should be treated that way.. . I have walked all types of dogs and cared for them in their homes. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats with special needs such as anxiety ridden dogs and have administered meds to dogs and cats. I have even cared for search and rescue dogs who require a different kind of handling. I’m a very active person so I really enjoy walking dogs or playing with them. I think an active lifestyle helps dogs with their behaviors and it’s one of their biggest enjoyments. I have taken care of cats in their homes and my own. Cats are usually quite different than dogs but I give them the same amount of attention and love. I really love all animals so I’m even open to caring for all creatures even snakes and rodents. ***I do with live with family members. If your pet was to be in my home, they would definitely get lots of love and attention.***

We had had Tanglewood tickets for months so when we learned our new puppy was arriving a week prior, all of our regular sitters were already booked. I got on the Rover website and found someone with great recommendations. We were impressed with Jacqueline when she came to our house to meet Buster. Buster was obviously crazy about her and she was extremely comfortable with a puppy jumping and licking. He was on a very strict regimen for housebreaking and the timing was clearly written out with instructions. Within the first few hours of our trip, we received photos and a message that Buster had pooped on the floor "but no big deal." It was a big deal because, if she had followed the instructions we left her, it should not have happened. The next day, I texted Jacqueline that GPS had us arriving at 12:30 pm so she was forewarned and had an opportunity to get Buster ready for our return. We walked in the door and Buster was still in his crate when we arrived. By that time, he should have already been out for a walk and been fed. Jacqueline said they were running late. I let him out of his crate and Buster ran around (he was 18 weeks old) for less than a minute and pooped on the floor. That should not have happened if the instructions had been followed. When I walked over to clean up the poop, there was more poop on the floor that was hours older. I asked if he had been fed and, again, "we were running late. No." I fed him, he ate and then ran into the living room and peed on the floor. She acted as if it was unimportant. To us it was important. We were extremely disappointed and tried to be civil with her until she departed but we won't use her again.

Jacqueline is just the best. This was the second time she watched our dog Ellie. Ellie is usually fearful of new people but absolutely loves Jacqueline. We got videos, photos, and updates each day. We love that we can enjoy our time away knowing our pets are in great hands :)
