Charlotte is amazing! She has a gift for making animals feel safe and connecting with them. We struggled to give our kitten antibiotics, and thankfully, she saved the day. Our fur babies and we look forward to having her in our home again!

Mary did a great job with our 3 dogs while we were gone all day for wedding! She sent pictures each visit. Dogs and house survived the long day thanks to her letting them out to play with each other several times!

About: I have been a cat and dog owner my whole life! I love all kinds of pets and think of all pets as family members. I have worked as a dog and catsitter for family members and friends of family, so I have a lot of experience with different pets. I have experience petsitting dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, and squirrels (for a wildlife rescue team)! I have trained my own dogs and have even done some cat training (with as much as a cat will let you train him/her)! I have a cat with special needs, so I do have experience with animals that need extra help. I have also taken care of many senior dogs and cats. Does your pet have accidents in the house? I am more than willing to clean up after whatever mess they may have made -- anything to make your furbaby comfortable! I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, so I have a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule. I am mostly available on weekdays, but I can do weekends if I have enough notice. I will have my daughters with me to take pets for walks or whatever care your pets may need! I have a couple acres for my pets to run around. I have an incredibly friendly lab that would be a great playmate if you are looking to socialize your dog as well. I also have cats and chickens that are well socialized to all types of animals! I have a kennel if one is needed.

About: My husband and I are both medical professionals who love caring for animals in our free time and would be honored to care for your furry family members! We have a friendly Goldendoodle, Winston, who absolutely loves having friends over. He does great with dogs of all sizes and is also comfortable around cats. We do have a toddler, so it’s important that your pup is comfortable around young children. Our home is full of love, attention, and plenty of playtime, and we’re happy to accommodate any special routines or needs your pet may have. Please feel free to reach out with any questions — we’d love to connect and see how we can best care for your animal family member! One of us is around most days, all day, so any routine can be accommodated. However, at minimum, we typically have a morning and evening potty break and exercise scheduled for our pup! We have a fenced in yard and can easily accommodate a wide range of routines. Daily walks, frequent potty breaks, medication administration, and frequent exercise / playtime!

Kimber is positive, upbeat, and had wonderful energy the moment she stepped in to meet the pets. The chemistry between the herd and her was magnificent and the video I received supported it when they were playing. Would love to book her again in the future ☺️

About: I’ve taken care of animals such as fish, cats, dogs birds and even a turtle in the backyard for a while before! I love to work with animals once we know each other and be a new friend to them and relate my experiences with them and learn new ones I work remote so any of these options work as long as you have reliable internet and Wi-Fi connections at your place. That is a total necessity. I do not have pets where I live. I do not have the room. Most animals do best in their own environment they are familiar with in my experiences.

About: Since 2018, I’ve been the go-to Rover sitter for pet parents who want peace of mind and pups who want nonstop love and attention. 🐶 I don’t just ‘watch’ dogs. I keep them safe, happy, and cared for as if they were my own.” I trust dogs more than I trust most humans, which makes this more than just a side gig for me. Caring for your pups is something I genuinely enjoy. Why choose me? • 🛡️ Safety first: Your dog’s wellbeing is always my #1 priority (and mine too, because let’s be honest, no one wants a Rottweiler deciding I look like a chew toy). • 🏃‍♀️ Active & alert: I’m quick on my feet, tuned in, and ready to spring into action if a situation gets “ruff.” • 🧠 Dog smarts + intuition: I have a natural ability to read dogs’ body language and moods, whether I’m meeting a nervous Chihuahua or a 120 pound gentle giant. • 📸 Peace of mind updates: Expect photos, videos, and proof of tail wags so you feel like you never left. Over the years, every dog I’ve cared for has left a paw print on my heart (and sometimes a little slobber on my shirt). Big or small, shy or spunky … I’ve worked with them all, and I strive to make every pup feel safe, loved, and entertained while you’re away. If you want a sitter who will love your dog like family, treat safety like sacred ground, and sprinkle in a little humor along the way, I’m your person. 🐾 Taking care of dogs isn’t a side gig for me . Definitely a lifestyle. I already have my own little wolfpack, so loving, protecting, and spoiling pups is second nature. When your K9 is with me, they’re not just “watched”… they’re family. Think of it as a WIN/WIN: your dog gets unconditional love and adventure, and you get peace of mind knowing they’re safe, happy, and thriving. I can’t wait to meet your best friend (and claim them as my new sidekick).

L and E are wonderful. We can tell they really know, love and enjoy our kitty. They created a fun game that now our kitty insists that we play too. Always helpful with other tasks I’ve asked like mail, watering etc. Much appreciated,?

Cadence was able to take care of my 18 year old chihuahua and get her daily medicine in her and play numerous games of fetch and keep away with my 1 year old high energy Australian shepherd mix. They were well cared happy when I got home. I will definitely be using her services again.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Hutchinson stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
