“This was our first experience with Rover and therefore our first experience with Sam. We just have to say we could not be more pleased. We were visiting in Hutchinson, KS and our dog Elmer stayed overnight with Sam, his roommate and Trapper, a high energy, playful and very friendly dog. The two dogs meshed well wonderfully and got “lots of exercise” and play time. This was Elmer’s first night away from us as he is a recent adoptee and apparently he didn’t seem to miss us one bit. Sam was great about sending frequent updates and pictures while hosting Elmer which really helped alleviate any concerns we had. I love to play with the puppies, however, I love making sure the seniors get the cuddles and treats they desire! I have a senior in my own home and administer daily pills, multiple times per day. I also have a pitbull puppy who will run herself ragged outside while chasing balls, gardening, and just running around. She also loves hikes and walks! I run my own massage business for in home massage. I am only working three days a week for a few hours at a time. Taking care of the pets is really easy with my schedule! I can carve out as much time as they might need in my day. I aim to keep there routine as normal as possible. I am very flexible in making sure I can do that! I personally feed my own dogs two times per day (morning and night). I have crated my dogs at night for many years, but that is because they love their space. I don't mind having the animals out and about if that is what they prefer! I love to take my own animals on several walks per day, especially with apartment living! About: I have been a cat and dog owner my whole life! I love all kinds of pets and think of all pets as family members. I have worked as a dog and catsitter for family members and friends of family, so I have a lot of experience with different pets. I have experience petsitting dogs, cats, horses, chickens, ducks, and squirrels (for a wildlife rescue team)! I have trained my own dogs and have even done some cat training (with as much as a cat will let you train him/her)! I have a cat with special needs, so I do have experience with animals that need extra help. I have also taken care of many senior dogs and cats. Does your pet have accidents in the house? I am more than willing to clean up after whatever mess they may have made -- anything to make your furbaby comfortable! I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, so I have a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule. I am mostly available on weekdays, but I can do weekends if I have enough notice. I will have my daughter with me to take pets for walks or whatever care your pets may need! I have a couple acres for my pets to run around. I have an incredibly friendly lab that would be a great playmate if you are looking to socialize your dog as well. I also have cats and chickens that are well socialized to all types of animals! About: I grew up with large and small dogs and cats. Around 5 years ago I learned to care for an elderly mostly blind, and def dog who had seizures up until she passed. I am fairly strong so if needed I can carry animals up and down stares or just in general if needed. I work great with elderly dogs especially ones who need extra care. I do have experience administering medication orally if needed and I am very patient. Wile I’m great with older dogs I also grew up with puppies because one of our other dogs had multiple litters and we cared for them. I do online schooling and have a class every Saturday from 1 to 5. I also work a few days a week from around 4 to 10pm. In my opinion you know what’s best for your dog so I will always follow your rules. About: I've been taking care of pets for family, friends, and neighbors for years. I grew up around dogs and have yet to meet one that doesn't like me. Through the years, I've taken care of all types of dogs and cats; from young, crazy pups to old, sick dogs and from ornery mostly outdoor cats to snuggly kitties that want to use me as a bed. My other job is remote, so my schedule is very flexible for whatever your pet may need. Weekends or weekdays doesn't make much of a difference. I'm also a morning person, so early morning walks, feedings, etc are perfectly fine! For boarding, I have one pet friendly roommate and dog. The dog is so cat friendly that she annoys some cats by trying to convince them to play. My yard is fenced, but there is currently a damaged section that has been covered with temporary plastic fencing. The damage will be repaired soon and until then, I don't let anyone out there without supervision. For house sitting or drop-ins, I treat your pets the way I would want mine treated. I also try to match any routines your pet might be used to, if it's eating at a certain time or always being let out at a certain time, just let me know and I'll make sure to keep things as familiar as possible for your furry friends.
