“Alyssa did a great job. My pets can be a little timid of new people but she respected their space and they warmed up to her quickly. She is also very responsive to communication.”

About: Hi, I’m Ellie, and I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember! I’ve had dogs my whole life and truly understand how much they mean to their families. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or just giving them the love and attention they deserve, I’m here to make sure your pet feels happy and cared for while you’re away. As an active person, I love getting outside for walks (or runs!) and will tailor each outing to your pet’s needs. I’m also highly dependable, always arriving on time, and committed to making sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and well taken care of. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry friend—let’s connect! As a first-year graduate student, my days are filled with studying and classes, but I always make time for what I love—caring for animals! My schedule is flexible throughout the week, making it easy for me to fit in walks, drop-in visits, or pet-sitting based on your needs. While weekends are usually reserved for studying or travel, my availability can vary depending on the week—so don’t hesitate to reach out! I’d love to see how I can help take care of your pet while fitting seamlessly into both of our schedules. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I provide personalized attention, including playtime, walks (or runs, if your pet enjoys them!), feeding, and plenty of love. Whether they need a high-energy outing or a relaxed visit, I tailor my care to their unique needs. If you're interested in a specific type of care, feel free to reach out :)

About: My husband and I are animal lovers and enjoy getting to care for other people’s fur babies! We have two golden doodles who love making new friends, whether it’s for playtime at home or fun walks around the neighborhood. Our home is full of love, fun, and plenty of tail wags, and we can’t wait to welcome your pup—whether for a stay or a stroll! I work from home some days, so when I’m home, your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise throughout the day! Even on the days I’m not home full-time, my schedule is flexible enough to accommodate most needs for walks, drop-in visits, and overnight stays. Whether your dog needs a fun playmate, regular potty breaks, or a stroll around the neighborhood, I’m here to make sure they’re well cared for! We have a spacious, fenced-in yard where your pup can safely run, play, and get their zoomies out! For added security, we also have crates available if your dog needs a safe space or if I need to step out for a short period. Our two golden doodles love making new friends and will help ensure your pup gets plenty of exercise and social time. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities, and I will always treat them like part of the family while they’re in my care!

About: I've always love caring for animals, in fact I've pet sat on and off since I was a kid as my very first job. Plus I've always had pets of my own, or my family's, to take care of as well. My professional experience includes being a kennel tech & dog daycare worker. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. (In fact my own dog is also my multipurpose service dog.) In addition I have experience caring for cats (an assortment of breeds and ages), geese, chickens, snakes, rodents, fish, bats, squirrels, opossums, and foxes. Any exotic animals that need care are welcome also as I used to be a wildlife rehabilitator & volunteered at WalkingWildRescue .org (a fox rescue & wolf-dog sanctuary). *Note: I no longer take feline clients who need medication due to multiple negative experiences. Cats generally need someone they trust to administer meds, & do not take kindly to strangers (meeting once is not enough).* I charge what I do because: 1. I have to work around Rover's cut. 2. I'm willing to go the extra mile to make sure you don't need to worry about your family while you're gone! This is my only job & I love it, so I'm very dedicated & do take it seriously. My routine involves taking care of my own service dog, so it's easy for me to incorporate another! I'm very flexible, please just give me at least a day notice. While I am not currently able to host, I will treat your home with respect! In addition; Leon, who is my professionally trained service dog, is very friendly so can help provide some socialization for your pup if desired. *Important Note for Housesitting/Dog-Walk Clients*: Due to my disability I am unable to stay overnight or go on walks without my service dog--so in order for me to be the right provider for you, your pet must be dog friendly while at home/on walks. However if you don't need overnight & are looking for an extended daytime stay, it isn't necessary that my service dog accompany me & I am very open!

“Summer is always great with both my dog and cat. She keeps me informed about what is going on and handles the day to day issues perfectly. Highly recommended!”

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life—my family has always had dogs and cats, and we recently added chickens to the mix! I started dog sitting in high school and have continued caring for pets during my summers in college. In addition to caring for my own animals, I volunteer at the local dog shelter, foster cats, and stay active in various veterinary clinics. These experiences have made me confident handling animals of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m also comfortable administering both oral and injectable medications and would be more than happy to care for pets with special needs! I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to prioritize pet sitting, drop-in visits, or extended stays as needed. I’m more than happy to accommodate your schedule and work with your pet’s specific routine or care plan. Whether it’s administering medications, sticking to a particular feeding schedule, or giving extra time and patience to a shy or senior pet, I want to make the experience smooth and stress-free for both you and your pet. While housesitting, I will respect your space and follow your instructions closely to keep things familiar and comforting for your pet. I will make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and enrichment, and I keep you updated with regular check-ins and photos. Your pet’s well-being means everything to me, and I treat each one like they’re my own!

“Jordan did an amazing job with Milly. She normally has bad social anxiety and it is hard for her to socialize her. However, she is instantly bonded with Jordan. With his laid-back approach and obvious animal experiences, it's no wonder she likes him. I booked him for her session yesterday and she looked for him again today. Definitely will be hiring him again.”

“Whitney was awesome, and she was a total champ about my dog unexpectedly getting sick right before my trip. She took care of the medications and was great about sending me pictures and updates the whole time. She definitely put my mind at ease while I was gone.”

About: I have grown up with dogs as well as taken care of many over the years. I grew up with 2 Jack Russel’s which I walked every day as well as fed, watered, and bathed. Play time was my favorite! I have also taken care of dogs over the years such as Jack Russel’s, Boxer/PitBull mix, English bulldog, Mastiff, etc. I am comfortable administering medications as well as any other needs your pup may need! I have 5 cats of my own that I take care of on a daily basis. They are fed every morning, every day after work, and every night before bed. Their water is checked daily to ensure they are never out. They are played with regularly and loved on every day! I also pick up my son daily from family who all have dogs and interact with them daily as well! We usually play every day I am there and I sometimes feed/water as well as walk or let them out in a fenced area to help out family. My pets as well as all of my family’s pets are like family members to me so I treat every animal I care for as my own! Every animal deserves to be treated with love and care. If I were to take a job on for anyone, I would want them to know that I would provide the best care for their animal so they could worry less about having to leave their pet!

About: Hi, my name is Shelley Upchurch and I am 56 years old. I am originally from Huntington but spent several years in Florida and Virginia. I recently decided to try doing something I love which is taking care of animals. I know first hand how hard it is to find honest , reliable, and loving care for your pets. I have had pets my whole life and have fostered animals for several local rescue groups and also for groups in Florida. I have been actively involved with rescue for years. When I was growing up, my dad had a farm with horses, goats, donkeys and sheep so I have experience with several types of animals. I currently have 3 dogs and two cats of my own. I can provide personal and professional references along with vet references if needed. If you are ready for someone you can trust and depend on to care for your furbabies like they are their own then please request me. I look forward to meeting your furbabies and spending time with them. I am flexible with my schedule as this is going to be my only job right now so I can work with you on your scheduling needs. During my time with your babies, I will provide you with pictures and regular updates. I will love your furbabies in your absence like I would my own and provide them with the best care possible all while following your specific instructions.
