About: I've been taking care of my own animals my whole life. Neighbors, friends, and family started hiring me for pet care when I was still in high school. I love the stark difference in pet personalities and learning how each of them likes to be cared for. Examples of my past & present clientele: - A family with 7 chihuahuas of varying ages and levels of crazy - A brand new hyperactive Bernedoodle puppy whom I still care for regularly (she's 4 now!) - A sweet lab who liked long, slow walks and bananas - A moody cat who could not care less about me (I have slowly earned the blessing of giving head pats to them now) - A tortoise who inspires me to slow down and eat more greens *my home is a safe space for people and pets from all walks of life* I am currently working from home, so I have plenty of time to care for and play with your pet(s)! I love being and walking outside and having an animal companion to join me is always a pleasure. We have a large back porch and yard for sniffing around. If your pet requires extra exercise, we have a quiet neighborhood to walk around in. We have a dog bed in almost every room, space for you to bring a crate, or an area that can be closed off overnight if necessary or requested. There are few places in the house that the dogs don't have access to out of an abundance of safety. Otherwise, they are welcome to make themselves at home! If I care for an animal in your home, I will let you and your pet take the lead!

About: Hi, I’m Shelby! I’m the founder and owner of Top Tier Dog Training LLC. Animals have always been a giant part of my life. I went to school and graduated with a degree in veterinary medicine and animal behavior. I founded Top Tier dog training in October 2021. I’ve been training dogs and placing service dogs ever since. I have about 10 years of handling and training experience. Back in the day I used to volunteer at a local animal shelter and worked for a dog training organization. I’m always working towards bettering myself and furthering my education as I believe there is always something new to learn. My goal is to provide a safe environment for dogs and their owners to teach you how to build a relationship with your dog the right way. Taking care of dogs is my full time job. I’ve created the perfect dog facility at my home to ensure your pups have the proper and safe space that they deserve. This means they will have care around the clock. I have a training facility at my home with a fenced in yard! My dogs get along great with others, this means your dogs will have lots of play dates and company. Other dogs aren’t your dog’s thing?! No worries, I have enough space to ensure your dog will have its own private setting.

“They were absolutely amazing to communicate with. Our little Meeka would come home so tired from playing with them. They were able to help us very last minute and we couldn’t thank them enough. I was very weary about dropping my little girl off with strangers but after talking with them the night before all my worries went away. I cant tell you how amazing these two and their family are”

“Paul was fantastic! Five stars isn't enough. He was extremely prompt, kind, and thorough with his communication from our initial request through pick-up. He took incredible care of our two boys and treated them like family. They were safe and comfortable. We received regular text and photo updates throughout their stay, and it was wonderful to see how much fun they were having. They even came home with a goodie bag of treats! His compassion and genuine love for animals were evident in every interaction. We can't speak highly enough of Paul and are so grateful for the exceptional care he provided. We'll definitely be using his services again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog sitter.”

“Not sure where to start here, We had Kayla stay at our house just during the day to watch my boyfriend's Service Dog Colt. We were extremely nervous because he has never been cared for by anyone other than us and she was absolutely amazing. She made what would have been a stressful situation a breeze. Kayla was so incredibly kind, sweet and professional. She was on time every morning and sent updates throughout the day. We will surely be booking her for next year.”

About: Lifelong dog lover with a deep passion for understanding and caring for dogs of every age and stage. I bring years of experience providing reliable dog walking and dog sitting services for client pets, ensuring every pup receives attentive, high-quality care tailored to their routine. I also currently volunteer multiple times a week walking and socializing dogs at our local animal shelter, a commitment I've maintained since 2009. At home, I have decades of hands-on experience raising and caring for my own dogs from puppyhood through their senior years, including my nearly 12-year-old German Shepherd, Waylon; my 5-year-old Australian Cattle Dog, Leo; and my 5-month-old Beagle/Chihuahua puppy, Dexter. Over the years, I have also regularly dog sat and walked for family and friends, treating every pet as if they were my own. I bring patience, empathy, and a strong connection to every dog I work with, ensuring they feel safe, understood, and happy! I’m so excited to meet your pup! Working from home part-time allows me a high level of flexibility, making me available throughout both weekdays and weekends to accommodate your routine. Because I am largely based at home, your pets will receive plenty of dedicated attention, companionship, and regular check-ins throughout the day without long periods of isolation. Providing exceptional care means treating your pet with the same love, respect, and security I would expect for my own animals. In addition to ensuring your pets are deeply cared for and emotionally secure, I maintain strict respect for your personal space, treating your home with the utmost care, cleanliness, and responsibility while you are away.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Hunterstown commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
