About: I’ve owned 2 dogs for the better part of 10 years. In that time I’ve trained one as a service dog, walked, fed, bathed and cuddled them 1000 times. I’ve also babysat a blind and def 16 year old dog including feeding and walking her. I’ve also lived with cats, rats, guinea pigs and rabbits all while having dogs and know how to balance small animals with all types of dogs. Pet care is a regular part of my daily life. I start each morning by walking my dog and feeding my two guinea pigs. Then it’s off to work, but I always make time during breaks or after work for another walk and to let the piggies free roam and explore safely. I spend a lot of my downtime hanging out with my pets—cuddling, relaxing, and just enjoying their company. Taking care of animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something that naturally fits into my routine. I’m used to being attentive, consistent, and making space in my day for the little things that help pets feel safe and happy. I follow any routines and instructions closely—whether it’s feeding schedules, medications, walk times, or favorite toys. I give pets space to settle in, especially if they’re shy or new to me, and then offer attention, play, and calm companionship once they’re ready. I’m always keeping an eye on behavior and body language to make sure they’re doing okay. For in-home visits, I respect the client’s space, clean up after myself (and the pets), and make sure everything’s locked up and secure before I leave. In my own home, pets are supervised and have access to safe spaces, and I keep my dog and guinea pigs separated from guest pets unless everyone is comfortable and it’s okay with the owner. I have two (now senior) pet bunnies so I've learned how to pick up on subtle cues for pain or discomfort, even in animals who try to hide it. I'm great with shy and senior pets. BUT I also have the energy for dogs who love long walks or going on runs! I only work part-time, so I have lots of flexibility for scheduling! I am currently available Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat, and Sun anytime. Wednesdays and Thursdays I am busy in the afternoons and evenings. I cannot personally offer dogsitting within my own apartment, but I am available for drop-ins for those who would like to book potty breaks, feeding, walks, and/or playtime for when you are out of the house for several hours or in semi-emergencies.
