About: I have been rescuing senior dogs for 9 years, including those with special needs. I have experience with dogs that have neurological disorders, blindness, incontinence, cancer, skin problems, arthritis, and more. I am a full time teacher, but I am available most days in the summer and weekends during the school year for walks and drop-ins. I love to send updates or leave notes so you know how your pup’s day went! My dogs are my family so I always make sure other dogs are taken care of like I would my own.

19. Paul G.
“Greetings Rover, I highly recommend Paul to serve this capacity. Paul and his family have proven they are beyond capable of providing dogs with a loving and nurturing environment to grow and thrive in. The dogs that have been privileged to be in his care live full and healthy lives. Paul is a trusted friend to me, and he is also trusted by many members in the community from coaching soccer at the high school to training adult learners in everything from factory standards to scientific methods. Paul also leads other community efforts and has received recognition from reputable organizations, he is highly capable. I personally use Rover in the Twin Cities and I know he would uphold the standards set forth by Rover and the customer experience. Paul is personable, charismatic, and considerate. He will ensure the best experience for the pet and the owner! The Rover community would be fortunate to have Paul participate in the effort. Thank you for your effort in vetting people in the process. It is my pleasure to recommend him.”
20. Britney B.
About: I've been taking care of dogs full time since August 2022 and am insured outside of Rover through Britney's Barking Lot (ig:britsbarkinglot). I have 3 rescue dogs: 4 year old Staffordshire Ruby, 8 year old Lab/Rhodesian Remy, & 9 year old terrier/hound Rosie that I love to spoil. Each dog has had their share of health issues - infections, 3 types of worms, a couple sprained tails, ingesting something they shouldn't, etc., so I also have experience caring for dogs beyond being let out and walked. I really enjoy animals in general and hope to help you care for yours! It's not uncommon for me to bring treats, puzzles, toothed balls, etc. I'm happy to accommodate your pets needs and routine as best I can, including diet. I can provide daily walks and play time/exercise multiple times a day. I will feed your dog separate from mine and sit with your dog while they eat. I have extra kennels, bowls, beds, toys, etc., and allow dogs on my furniture. I treat them like my own. We live in a quiet subdivision neighborhood close to I-43/WIS 42, with a fenced in back yard, and plenty of space for both your and my dogs needs. I'm happy to follow any care instructions provided but basically your dog will receive individualized care, daily exercise, stimulation including dog socialization, health monitoring, and will rarely, if ever, be in a kennel/crate. I can provide you with as many updates/photos as you would like but I typically provide 1 update with a couple pics/video per day. I will put an extra dog bed right next to my bed for your dog. Any time I give my dogs a treat, bone, or dental chew, I will also include your dog unless instructed otherwise. I usually give all dogs a dental chew once you drop yours off as they get used to each other. If you have a puppy, I will even make sure to have puppy treats on hand. I want your dog to settle into their new surroundings while also keeping my dogs on their best behavior. I will be outside with the dogs at all times unless I truly feel comfortable (only longer/multiple stays). One of our rescues had a couple owners before we adopted her and is still a little skittish so I also have experience with pets who may need a little extra love or attention. Currently I only board 1-2 dog at a time to ensure the best care possible. Any request for 7 nights or longer I will treat your dog to a trip to Petsmart to pick out a toy (please let me know if car rides are a hard pass). Mon-Wed I provide daycare services so there's always plenty of play mates. I spent most of my time at home unless I have errands or other clients. Dogs receive lots of play time, outside time, and stimulation. I have a fenced in yard, extra crates, gates, etc., and provide near constant supervision. We live in a quiet, dog friendly subdivision. I'm insured outside of Rover, know basic first aid, minor ailments. If your dog has an upset tummy I'll boil them chicken and rice or give them a bath if they get dirty.
