About: Hi everyone my name is Alicia. I have always been an animal lover since i can remember. I have grown up around dogs. I have personally owned both cats and dogs. My family is also animal lovers. I have 3 daughters 14, 11, and 5. We love going for walks in the summer as a family. Your puppy/dog will have the best visit ever with myself and my family and will love all the attention from the kids!! About: I am very familiar with reptiles, cats, dogs, and birds. I have been helping take care of others animals and have lots of experience with all stages of dogs. I am currently just in school at the moment for Psychology , which is just online, so I have plenty of free time to work around! About: I've taken care of all types of pets from a very young age. Whether it be a tiny chihuahua to a sizeable Bullmastiff, a cat, birds including chickens, reptiles, fish, even small furry friends like rabbits or ferrets. I have adored and been fascinated by animals my whole life and am up for any challenge you throw at me. I've personally trained my dog to follow voiceless hand signal commands and he is also special needs, so caring for a senior or special needs animal is a breeze for me! I've even provided end of life care for my grandmother's cat, which included administering fluids via injection, so don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Not to mention that I have experience raising young kittens and squirrels at milk drinking ages! I am available from 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday and overnights on Fridays and Saturdays. I could possibly do extended overnight stays in my own home if your pet is dog, cat, and young child friendly. Whether it be for a walk, potty break, comfort while you're away, socializing and training your puppy basic commands (and maybe a few tricks), or even just taking your furry friend out for a pup cup and to a sniff spot, I'm the gal for you. I will even provide litter or doggy doo doo cleanup for an additional price. Your pet will always be safe and loved in my hands. I am currently in between jobs, and my kiddos go to daycare from 7am-5pm M-F, so I am available to help between those times, or overnights at your house on Fridays and Saturdays. I could be purr-suaded to do extended overnight stays at my house if your feline is cat, dog, and young child friendly. If I am caring in my home, I have 3 cats-all fixed- a special needs male dog who is NOT fixed due to medical reasons, and two kids under the age of 5. If you choose to keep your pet at my home, they need to be able to get along with them or be kept in a separate room. If you have a female dog, they would need to be fixed with proof of spay. My special needs dog has no business procreating! I have a large home and a decent sized yard with a tie-out cable so that your pet can explore my whole backyard safely without fear of taking off. I also have a screened in porch that I often let the cats roam in during the nicer months. I have a Honda CR-V, so I can keep decently large dogs in the car as well for transport or in case of emergency. If I am caring for your pet in your home, I will cuddle, play, exercise, and feed & water them to their hearts content. I will ask however for an extra fee to pick up any dog poo or clean litter boxes.

We are an active household that enjoys many days outside, but also equally loves cuddling up on the couch for a movie night. At night, your pet is welcome to sleep wherever they find it most comfortable. We have had personal pet ownership experience with blindness, deafness, and separation anxiety in dogs. In addition to our own pets, we have also opened our home to foster dogs for several years, specializing and dog reactive dogs, as well as hospice/end of life care. My career consists of over a decade of hospital-based pharmacy experience, and I am now fortunate to currently work from home. With my career and volunteer dog hospice foster experience, I am comfortable and knowledgeable in administering any oral, subcutaneous, and IM medications. - We provide care to one outside family at a time to ensure a stress-free experience for everyone. I do allow exemptions for multifamily households. - Your pet will have an adult with them for at least 20/24 hours per day. Most updates are sent with morning breakfast, midafternoon rest, and before bedtime. You are also encouraged and welcome to reach out anytime outside of that. - If your pet does require a crate at any point, please ensure one accompanies them to drop off. We are a home-based boarding experience and do not have commercial kennel runs. - If your pet has been excused/banned from a commercial boarding facility, I do require a no-cost meet and greet for introductions before confirming the booking. It is my priority to ensure your pet feels safe, and I am confident in their needs before confirming commitment. - Privately insured for household companionship pets, which covers both care during boarding and any agreed-upon transportation. Keywords: home-based, medical needs, special needs, reactive, medication administration. I am generally available to accept same-day bookings as someone who works from home. At this time, my employer allows me to set my own hours, meaning I can easily adapt to your pet's schedule and any medical needs. Bathroom breaks are averaged at every two hours and anytime outside of this at your pup's request. If your pet prefers to spend afternoons in the sun, then that is where I am happy to work that day! Any pets boarded in our home can expect to have a human home a minimum of 20 out of the 24 hours in a day. We welcome your pets to rest and sleep wherever they are most comfortable- couch, pet bed, human bed, etc. If you request or your pet requires kenneling at any time, please ensure a kennel accompanies them to drop off. Our home is carpet-free (stress-free!), and we understand accidents happen. Please inform me if your pet is working on potty training, and we can reduce the number of rooms initially accessible. Our acreage is unfenced, and dogs have access to the backyard of the property. If your dog is not off-leash trained, we provide a pulley tie-out to allow them a greater range of access. If you are most comfortable with leash walking, that is also just fine with us!

I have experience reading dog body language and helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and understood. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve been extensively involved in rescue work as a foster home and running a shelter behavior group of volunteers so I’m especially patient with reactive, anxious, or higher-needs dogs. I truly enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality and tailoring care to what works best for them. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight care, you can count on me to provide reliable, attentive, and compassionate care—just like I would for my own. I’m currently a stay at home mom and so I am able to be flexible in most cases. Evenings and weekends will be my most available times! I have two dogs of my own who are very used to new animals coming and going. I don’t have a fenced backyard, but do have tie outs or can leash walk any pets at my home. Every animal has different needs, so I will do my best to figure out what sleeping arrangements make them the most comfortable during their stay (I have kennels of every size so people do not need to bring theirs back and forth unless they prefer to). I’m well versed in methods of calming for pets that might be nervous.
