“Anastasia was amazing and so wonderful with both my fur babies.. I am using her again in December and now that I found her will continue to as well for all my trips. I felt very comfortable with her and so did my fur babies.. Thank You! Looking forward to seeing you again soon..”

“Amazing experience with Tiffany! She literally saved our week. At the last minute our regular dog sitter was unable to come, so I reached out to Tiffany (based on her previous great reviews). I think she heard the panic in my voice and reassured me that she could help out! She stopped in later that evening for a meet and greet. Totally put my mind at ease. Her visit included mother’s day and she rearranged her time with her family to be able to accomodate us! House looked great when we came home and Lucy very happy. Would highly recommend Tiffany!🐾”

“Kevin is a super nice guy. I am so glad we have him in our dogs lives and ours. I will take him anytime. He did a great job with our pups. They seem very happy.”

“Akaycia did a great job with Lily, Penny and Sophie. Everyone was well taken care of and happy. They almost seemed upset that she was leaving. Lily and Penny can be quite a handful with them both being puppies still. They can be full of energy but she handled them great. Also we had no expectations of her cleaning the house up from two shedding Collies but she tried her best to do it even though we never showed her where the vacuum was. Will definitely try to hire her again if we go anywhere.”

“Riley was fantastic!! She was very pleasant, professional and willing to make a pre-sit visit to give our little protector a meet n greet. All 3 of our shitzuh mixes seemed to enjoy having Riley stay with them! Even our tough love Toby seemed to warm up quickly. We highly recommend Riley, and would like her to sit for us in the future.”

“Blaze was amazing with Maverick. She came over for a meet and greet prior to our vacation and Maverick took to her very quickly. While we were on vacation she would send pictures and videos of Maverick with updates. She also kept the house tidy as well. Will definitely being using Blayze's services in the future.”

“Hailey was great! My animals were so comfortable and happy from her being there while I was away. She took great care of them and my home. This is the first time I’ve used a sitter for my pets and home but I would use Hailey again and again!”

“Leann was great. There was a learning curve with my dogs but once that was figured out everything went great and they became good pals. I’ll definitely request Leann when my I next need dog sitting.”

“Barbara is a natural! I have a hesitant, scared of a lot of things dog and he warmed up to her in no time. She was wonderful with both my doggies. I’m a worrier, but felt good leaving my dogs in her hands. She is responsible and communicative and takes good care to follow whatever regimen/schedule you ask her to. We came home to very calm and happy dogs. So happy to have found her!”

“Isabella is pure joy. She is knowledgeable as well as professional. She kept in touch thru txts and sent pics often. I will book her over and over. If you are looking for a pet sitter Isabella is the one. Isabella I am grateful for the time you spent with my family. See you next time”

About: I grew up with pets since I was a little girl - raising 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’m currently not a pet owner, because although I’d love to, I live in a small apartment! However, I frequently help out family and friends with their own pets - rather that be pet sitting for a short weekend or walks throughout the day! I’m flexible and attentive. I can help with, but I’m not limited to: Feeding pets and putting out fresh water Brushing and grooming pets Bathing pets Cleaning litter boxes Walking dogs in all kinds of weather Vacuuming up pet hair Giving medications Taking pets to the vet in emergency situations Notifying owners of any injuries or sickness, and keeping them updated on their pets and home I look forward to working with you! I’m currently focused on building a flexible work schedule, which gives me plenty of time to provide attentive care for your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-ins throughout the week and weekends. I enjoy staying active, so regular walks, playtime, and keeping pets company fit naturally into my daily routine. I’m also communicative and dependable, and I’ll make sure your pet gets lots of love, attention, and updates while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, loving environment where pets can feel secure and cared for. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, medication instructions, potty breaks, and individual personalities or needs. I understand that every animal is different, so I take the time to help them feel comfortable and build trust at their pace. I’m happy to provide updates, photos, and consistent communication so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“Jennifer was amazing! She was incredibly thoughtful and diligent when caring for our 2 cats and 2 dogs while we were out of town. She went above and beyond which was evident when we returned home from our trip and found our house almost cleaner than when we left! We felt confident leaving our pets in her capable and caring hands and will 100% be using Jennifer in the future for any of our pet sitting needs.”

“Stella did a great job with Ruby. Good communication and Ruby ate both of her meals when Stella was here which is uncommon, she normally goes on a little hunger strike with new dog sitters, Ruby must have really liked Stella.”

“I recommend Dani to take care of your fur babies, I was very nervous leaving my fur baby and she took such good care of him as if he was her own. We will definitely use her again.”

“Serena was amazing! She sent me updates with pictures and videos multiple times. We will for sure be using her for whenever we need a pet sitter. I think my sweet Annie girl found a new bestie!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Hopeland
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 1,128 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Hopeland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hopeland walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hopeland maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hopeland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hopeland. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
