“Candace is always incredible. We had some behavioral issues with our dogs and she handled the situation like a champ and did the best she could to problem solve while we were out of town. We love Candace and her ability to handle our dogs with the up most care and consideration!”

“Emma is so extremely helpful, and very thorough with taking care of our fur babies! 10/10 would recommend! Thank you Emma for being extra thoughtful and going above and beyond with your care!”

“Jackie did an excellent job taking care of our two cats. She was willing to meet before our trip so I could go over some of their specific needs. She was so sweet and I felt assured they would be in good hands. When she dropped in each day, she was sure to send pictures and videos of them while we were gone and texted any questions that came up. Her kids played with them and they were well taken care of. We will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Clasie took EXCELLENT care of our two cats while we were out of town! She kept us in the loop of what was going on with them. When something popped up with our cat who is diabetic, she contacted us right away and was quick to respond. Our pets are our kids and I felt very comfortable and confident that they were well cared for. Also, we got pictures at each visit which was an awesome bonus that we weren’t expecting!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog‑and‑cat lover who’s owned up to four dogs at once and would absolutely own a zoo if society would let me. I’ve got tons of experience with dog walks, overnight care, and keeping both dogs and cats happy, fed, and loved. Your pets will be treated like family! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m home full‑time and already surrounded by animals and little animal‑lovers. I have two kids under three who absolutely adore pets, so giving dogs and cats attention, playtime, and love is part of our everyday rhythm. As a lifelong pet owner who has cared for up to four dogs at once, I know how important it is to make your pets feel like family. Your fur babies will get the same consistency, affection, and care they’re used to at home. In my home, pets get a safe, comfortable, and flexible environment. I have separate wings of the house where I can keep dogs or cats separated if needed, and a very large fenced‑in backyard with plenty of room to roam, sniff, and play. I also have two large crates available for pups who need or prefer crate time. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow your routines! To include feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions!:) So your pets feel secure and comfortable. I’m home full‑time, and my two kids (both under three) absolutely adore animals, so giving pets attention and love is part of our daily rhythm. As a lifelong pet owner, I know how important it is to make your pets feel like family, and that’s exactly how I care for them.
“We had to rush out of town and they immediately responded and did a great job as usual! Even in an emergency situation they responded with genuine care and immediate response! Wrote down great instructions for new meds for one of our pups and went above and so far beyond to ensure he was cared for. If we can help it, we will always contact them to take care of our beloved pets, they are truly amazing and ridiculously caring people and we adore them!”

“I’m a returning customer! Elizabeth is amazing. So quick to reply she even accepted my last minute booking within an hour. I really appreciate the care she gives my cats (even when they’re a bit difficult sometimes). I feel really comfortable letting her do her job and don’t feel the need to supervise at all. I will re-book with her 100% ♥️”

“Our first experience with Rover and it could not have gone any better! Aubrey was the perfect fit for us as our anxiety was a bit high with leaving our cat alone for an extended period of time. We were so comfortable with our experience with Aubrey that we are already planning another trip. THANK YOU!!”

About: I grew up having cats and dogs, but my love for dogs was unreal when I started college. I ended up getting my own Yorkie and she has been my life ever since. I have experience with new born puppies all the way up to senior age. I can help with training, going for walks, or just simply being that human comfort for your pups while you're away! I know leaving your pets can be stressful but I will treat them like my own family while I have them! I work from home most days, but when I'm not I'm only a short drive away so I can do potty breaks! I'm able to stick to whatever feeding schedule your pup is on whether it is once or twice a day, and I love to give my pups a morning treat, with your approval, yours can have one too! I have a large fenced yard which your dog will be able to explore and potty in. I also have a medium sized doggy door they will have access to. I have small Yorkies who love all dogs and a senior Boxer who loves to play. If needed I have a crate accessible at all times for my dogs and yours if they feel like they want space. I also have large dog beds down in my living room at all times so they will always have a space for themselves to cozy up in! I also have a LARGE basket of toys the dogs are welcome to play with whenever they want! I do groom my own dogs, so if your dog needs a brushing not to worry, I will take care of them!
“Kimberly has done drop in visits and walks for our two fur babies when I am gone on work trips. She takes time to get to know your pet(s), has no problems with specific instructions, always prompt and sends updates and photos regularly. I highly recommend her services!!”

About: Hi, I’m Ainsley! Dogs have been a massive part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my home was always filled with paws—giving me firsthand experience raising energetic puppies, keeping up with active adult dogs, and providing gentle, attentive care to sweet senior dogs. I’ve spent years pet-sitting for family members, treating their fur babies exactly like my own. Whether your dog needs a high-energy brisk walk, a slow and sniff-filled stroll, or just some extra patience and TLC, I’ve got you covered. I can’t wait to meet your pup and become their new favorite walking buddy! I have a fairly open schedule while school is out for the summer! I’m available most mornings for check-ins and walks, and most evenings for over night care. I’m willing to adapt to any space! I have plenty of experience with all types of animals, and am confident that I can care for yours.
“Brooke had great communication during drop in visits for our kitty! She was also patient with our shy guy and allowed him time to come out and investigate on his own. We knew our kitty was in great hands while we were out of town!”

About: I've taken care of many different kinds of puppies. I have 2 puppies and can do basic training. Really good with senior dogs and keeping them safe and healthy. Can give medications or any kind. I am currently in school so it will be after school times. I can come out earlier depending on the day. I would love to work with you and your schedules as well! At your house I will follow your rules and try to take care of your pets as close to the way you do as possible. In my house animals are well taken care of and loved any time we are home and spoiled while they are out with us on adventures.
About: I’ve owned dogs since I was little, and I’ve been taking care of dogs while the neighbors were away since I was 12. I love dogs and own 5 myself, I can administer medications and just play with your dog. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I currently have a small puppy so I already have a good routine of letting her out to play, go potty and such. I only work my day job about 7 hours a day in the early morning so I’ll be able to go in the early afternoon and let your pet out and play with them every day. The pets in my home have a spacious environment to be around the family while we are home. We always watch out for our dogs when they are out of the crate and the same for any of your pets that come over to hang out.
About: I have always had pets in my life. I had made sure they were properly fed in the right amount at the right times and always had a fresh bowl of water. They never go without love as well as making sure they have their space to go and do their thing. Pets will always be taken care of with me and made sure they go home happy and healthy. :) I am currently unemployed. This gives me the chance to give your furr babies even more of my full attention, care, and cuddles to your animals. If taken care of at my house, I treat them the same as if they were at your house. I make sure they are comfortable.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and have worked as a kennel technician for the last 3 years, along with being a dog bather for an additional year. I am comfortable with any breed and size of dog. I have experience with many different behaviors within dogs. Many people like family, friends, and clients at my job rely on me to care for their fur babies! I currently work full time as a kennel technician, but have two days off during the week where I’m looking to make some extra money! I’m free anytime Tuesday’s and Thursday’s! For drop in visits, I will provide the services of making sure your pet is able to go outside to use the bathroom, gets a water or snack break, along with any other requirements. I’m comfortable giving medication if needed, and making sure your pets are safe and taken care of!
“Caitie is great! She did an excellent job taking care of our cats. One of our cats is very skittish and hides the whole time anyone new is around. She was out of hiding and playing with Caitie by day two, which is completely unheard of. Caitie kept our place very clean and was excellent at communicating with us. 10/10 highly recommend”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hooper. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
