“The best Rover experience! Jocelyn is so amazing with my Molly! I get video’s & photo’s! I appreciate everything she does! I KNOW my pet is in great hands! Molly absolutely loves her! So glad I found her!!!!!!!! So is Molly!!!!!!!”

About: I have always loved animals since I was a kid. Once I was 12 I started bathing and grooming dogs, which then lead me to watch animals overnight. The longest I have taken care of pets was a two week long period. I am very responsible, timely, and have a dog of my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages and sizes, and even some training experience as well. I am currently a part time worker, and full time college student with mostly online classes. I am available to do mostly everyday of the week as long as I am known in advance. I believe animals will treat us just as we treat them or better. My dog is my best friend (we even have matching pjs). I understand the deep love people have for their pets and I respect and plan to love and care for their pets just as much. I am gentle, patient, and understand animal language very well.
“Mary is amazing! Is always very prepared and is clearly experienced. She takes this seriously in a way that I feel comfortable trusting her a lot. Really appreciate everything she does!”

“This is our second time working with Gwynn. And as before Sully is very happy to have play time and belly rubs! Gwynn has met watson for the first time and is a happy pup as well! Thank you Gwynn!”

About: I have owned dogs and cats since 1985 and was on a K9 Search and Rescue team for 18+ years so I have worked with all types of dogs and have a lot of experience with training. I currently work outside the home M-F 9-5 but can work from home upon request. Weekends I am home the majority of the time and spend most of my time hanging out with my own dogs (two labs) I have hosted a variety of dogs in my home including corgis, labs, goldens, frenchies, pitties, mals, and other assorted breeds. I treat everyone's pets just like my own - lots of treats, snuggles, couch naps, and of course sleeping on the bed if they want. Both of my labs are extremely friendly and love pretty much all dogs, but I do have experience sitting some dogs who preferred to be separate from my boys via either baby gates or kennels (depending on what the dog is comfortable with). I have a large fenced in backyard and a smaller fenced in front yard. The backyard has a doggie door that allows the dogs to go in and out at will, although when I am not home, I do not give any dogs access to the yard (even my own dogs as a safety issue).
“Lindsey, her husband Bobby and the whole family from the meet and greet on were wonderful. It’s the first time I had to get a sitter that wasn’t family or a friend, so I was nervous, and I’m just a nervous dog mom in general. But the whole time they kept me updated and reassured me the whole time I was away. I will definitely be booking again if needed! Thank you all so much for taking such great care of my fur babies.”

“Heather did an excellent job of taking care of my cat. He was sick one day and she double checked to be sure he was ok. She kept in great contact with me. I will use her services again!”

“So grateful Alexandra was available to take care of our dogs over Thanksgiving this year. She came a couple of times each day and our dogs were so glad to see her each time!”

“Brook-lynn is great to Max. He's always so excited after a stop in visit with her. She communicates well and always sends me photos. I'd high recommend letting her take care of your fur baby!”

“Rachel is amazing!!! She’s been pet sitting for us for a little over a year now, and we will definitely continue booking with her in the future. Rachel is reliable, caring, and goes above and beyond for our pets.”

“Halie was wonderful! Our dogs were happy and healthy when we got home which is so great! Hailie took them for walks and played ball with them and gave them the love they needed. One of our dogs was shy for the first day but not for long before he was excited to see her. I highly recommend Halie and will happily call her again for our next trip!”

“Izzy was absolutely amazing with my dog, Wyatt!! She went above and beyond and kept me updates with lots of photos which I loved! Wyatt was treated so well in her care. Will definitely use her again :)”

“Rhianna was beyond amazing at taking care of my cat Lucille and my home while I was away. She sent detailed updates daily and plenty of photos showing what all they got up to each day, and constantly went above my expectations. The care she showed for my pet was clear, and I couldn't appreciate her more!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 536 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Homewood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Homewood. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 91% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
